hi, great video, one question, what is the wheel settings that you use for simagic mini? i have a simagic u but i am still testing for a better settings for gt7👍
Hi, Gster. Thank you for the detail reviews. Your review steered me away from Moza and I ended up buying Simagic Alpha + DS8X + P1000i. I couldn't get the Sigma Cortex to work. After testing for hours I switched from the default channel 80 to 82 and it worked. Now it's being recognized as a Logitec G29, how did you get it to emulate a GT DD Pro? Can you pls share the detail settings on your cortex converter including firmware version. Thank you very much.
Hi, thank you for your video. Can you perhaps tell us which firmware version you have installed on the Sigma Converter? I would also be interested in the overall FFB settings in the Cortex Converter. Can you please post them? Thank you. Best regards, Thomas
Nice video bro, however i just took simagic with sigma cortex..my wheel its the fx pro.how is possible to run the wheel with working dashboard display.(not working on ps5 at the moment).do you know about that something else to try?
Hi mate, I've just got my sigma adapter and it doesn't seem to be working, I've got everything plugged in but when I press the ps button it doesn't seem to work, I've got the PS logo, car logo and the tick but not the controller
hey i have the same setup with simsonn pedals so if i read you right, drive hub for pedals sigma cortex for wheelbase plug sigma cortex into drive hub plug pedals into drive hub as accessory using GIMX and plug into drive hub as console then GIMX into PS5?
Hello blogger, with the combination of drivehub+gimx+hori mini, I encountered that moza r9 was recognized as tgt without ffb as you said. I would like to ask you if this problem disappeared after changing to simagic?
Is GT7 worth the expense of adapters if you have all the major PC sims? Got a Simucube 2 Pro shortly after buying my PS5 but have barely used it any since. GT7 was a good time on controller though, but I'm not sure how it'd hold up since I've gone all in on PC sims and simcade titles.
Hey hey! About to about to press the go button on full simagic mostly for playing ACC. I’m wondering if I can customise some stuff like button emulation layout or the lights through simagic software and then have it work when plugging all in to ps5 through the sigma cortex
I think you can change the lights thru PC software which will save indefinitely but the layout, if using just sigma cortex is fully predefined no customizing button layout unless ACC supports it. GT7 does.
Hi!!! First of all, thanks x your information!!!! How are you??? So, if you read this and can please help me. 3 questions. (Sorry my english is horrible) 1 There is a way to adapt and properly use a fanatec csl Dd 8 nm to a ps4 or ps5??? The dd pro is soo expensive 2 Is posible to use an alpha mini in ps4 with fanatec pedals???? How simagic wheel adapters work?? 3 With this kind of Drive hub, in case number 1 answer is afirmative... Can you use a fanatec base, wheel and pedals, with a handbrake and gear stick from another company in ps4/5 by conecting it to the base or Drivehub?
you will need a drivehub and GIMX adapter to use different pedals anything other than Simagic ones. question 3 is yes, you will need the 2 adapters I mentioned^^
@@gster109I’m looking to go with the alpha mini, neo gt wheel, and keep my fanatec v3 pedals. Will this work with just the sigma encoder or what else will I need? Thanks!
Hey man thanks for the video. I got my Simucube 2 Pro and Heusinkveld pedals running with Gimx and Drive Hub. It gets recognized as G29 but with the “glitch” of holding starts and select, it’s now working in Fanatec CSL mode. I’m actually really satisfied with the FFB. Even though the CSL is also belt driven. Is there any chance to get my setup also recognized as Fanatec DD Pro? How did you managed to do that?
Yeah the CSL mode is pretty good but damn the DD signal is a huge game changer imo. Unfortunately the way I do that is with the sigma cortex adapter which tricks the drivehub into thinking I have a CSL DD. You could try just buying the adapter & plugging it into the drivehub then going back to the gimx setup which is what I did but idk if the cortex will want a simagic wheel conntected to send that info over to the drivehub before u switch back to gimx mode. Hope that makes sense.
@@gster109 Thanks! Yes I thought about the adapter as well. But that would mean another station where the signals go through. And more input lag. The FFB is actually surprisingly good as it is and I can live with it. Didnt expect it will be this good. I hope one day they will make a Fanatec DD firmware for Gimx, if that is even possible.
@@gster109 So just to be clear. You use a simagic wheel. That is connected to your PC and not to your cortex adapter? So it is: Simagic and pedals on PC -> GIMX -> Cortex -> DD Hub -> PS5 ?? If so, what firmware do you use on Gimx? Since there is only G27 and G29 as an option for wheels. So, if so, the Gimx sends a G29 signal to your Cortex adapter but that changes the signal to a Fanatec DD Pro? Or did I got it all wrong and you use only cortex? Because in the video you say you use GIMX. Thanks for the help btw.
@@Sele81 ya exactly with the GIMX adapter in g27 ps3 flash mode then to drivehub. Cortex was just used to initially trick the drivehub & its in the box now not in the chain between pc to ps5 now.
Broke my ultimate buying a mini to replace it lol was a freak accident don't ask haha. Dude I've never ever seen ffb like this on gt7 holy crap. I love how the simagic mini shaft is looser so it feels like it moves so freely ans easily meaning all of those forces come through so well. The ultimate needs more forces to push it due to the shaft feeling tighter anyways. So I'm excited man. I can attest with simagic all you need is 10nm lol. Even the 23nm wheelbase I just never use above that. So yeah simagic has very strong little motors idk how they do it but the speed is also next level the snap for corrections is the best out of anybody imo.
Once you dial in the settings the FFB on this game it is absolutely phenomenal, glad you noticed it in the vid !! Also like I mentioned in the video I have mine set at 3NM & Total force to 100%, basically the opposite of what everyone including Simagic recommends but I am totally blown away by how good it feels. Very close to emulating a real steering rack. The snap corrections are indeed next level I am beyond happy with my Alpha Mini. Thanks for watching!

How did you manage to adjust the wheel's buttons with GT7? I tried all the buttons but I couldn't switch the MFD selections right and left or up and down!
Cool that you've got this to work on ps5. I've been looking for that pc ps5 direct drive killer combo. But I really don't understand how that wheel with that much overhead available clips on Gt7. That would be highly disappointing considering the ffb strength isn't that high to get near clipping.
I have asked this question everywhere and nobody can help, right now I have the alpha mini base, GT Neo wheel and P1000 pedals a shopping cart along with the Sigma converter. will this work on my PS5 with ACC?
@mataman1 mate I'm literally smashing laps around Imola on it right now in ACC and having tried it with GT7 I can say that it is 100% better on ACC than GT7.

@@gster109 Im not sure about that one. Maybe driving on the road daily yes, but racing i doubt 3nm is accurate. 3NM you will get extreme clipping at high speed and the wheel will not communicate anything further, which is not realistic. Better to just make the FFB lighter if that is preferred.
