We cover installing the Winjet JDM headlights and show you a little comparison with the OEM headlights on the FR-S. Please check out our website at ft86speedfactor...
To anyone planning to get these head lights please read this before buying. The plastic clips underneath the front bumper and the side markers are a pain in the ass to remove, so before installing do yourself a huge favor and buy extras in advance. I promise you will thank me later. This should be a huge no-brainer, but most importantly do not forget to test the lights to make sure that everything is functional prior to installation. One last thing I want to mention is an easy way that I found to remove the front bumper is to firmly pull on one side of the front bumper while also pushing down the area of the front bumper that is directly underneath the headlight. Hope this helps
Got mine ordered.. So excited to get them!
can i use the olm led headlight that i purchased through ft86 website with my winjet headlight? i tried doing it but the olm led was a little to fat for the placement. am i just doing this wrong?
do these still have high beams, or do you lose the high beam function?
I heard about condensation issues with it. Is there a way a to fix this issue?
I live in the middle of no where, deer are a huge problem of mine. How bright are these headlights at night? Do you lose the high beams or no?
Will you lose your factory installed strip of LEDs under the turn signal if you install the Winjet JDM Headlights?
Don't the jdm GT86 headlights light up the led strip as well when headlights are turned on? this one only does headlights it seems
FT86SpeedFactory great vid, thank you!
this might be a silly question, but at 8:35 in the vid can you tell me what bulb your using in the stock daytime running light? link to purchase would help too. thanks!
It looks like the Winjet headlight uses a solenoid to move the shade/tilt the bulb and provide a high-beam functionality through the projector.
Yeah, I think you're right. Most aftermarket HID installs do. They move the bulb forward/aft to adjust the reflected light pattern.
What are the wheels on this lovely example?
Is it possible to use the BRZ head lights?
So is there no way to keep the DRL's on all the times???
R the as bright as the OEM's?
Does anyone know how to adjust these from left to right? They seem to only go up and down.
turn signal?
why is there two radiators? I noticed the small mishimoto radiator
That is an oil cooler :)
Any issues with peeling?
+Mark Artz None here.
thank you. So many people warning me about peeling it made me nervous on purchasing a pair.
Hows your winjet headlight holding up? I'm thinking about getting it too...
No comparison to the OEM GT86 headlights. DRL are much brighter on the GT, the LED strip is also lit with the headlights on (just dimmed), low beam is very nice and high beam is the shit. HID of course.
Okay maybe there's a reason to this. But if you want the drl always on then why not just let it run like normal during the day and then at night turn your high beams on since these headlights have no high beam..? Lol
Agh those extra numbers just appeared out of nowhere
Where the fuck is the turn signal?
+RandomTechS@#T on the bottom of the bumper.
Subaru motor sound like a diesel truck now, lolz. All Subaru motor always loud.
All HID kits are junk. LED kits are better.
do they make this for the BRZ?
Pretty sure they do. But I would keep the BRZ ones on the car for the LED hook. Looks niice with that!
