I bought Spyders, but used this for clarity on which pins/wires are DRL vs Low/High/Park. Would be nice to know if/how you wire it to come on with both DRL and Low/High/Park though.
Don't slice at the wiring and tap in there, use a needle and push through where the clip connects and push the wire that is clicked into the clip out. Once it is out you can tap into the wire there from the rear of the clip like the factory wiring. You can wrap it around where the metal clip is clamped onto the wire and secure it nice and tight. Then slide the metal clip back into the plastic clip. Click it into place and repeat for all wiring. You don't have to move the rubber moisture boot out of the way since the wires are so thin. It will fit slugly into place and the rubber moisture boot will act as an anchor for the wire. You can also solder that onto the metal clip end as well if you like. This is the best permanent way to make sure that the wiring is done right the first time. Nobody wants to take the bumper off more than they have to!
Is it possible to buy the harness clip for the stock headlight and just wire it into that so it can be a kinda-oem install? Not a fan of cutting into the wires behind the harness if I ever go back to stock
On your website wiring document, there is option for having boomerang always on using diode. Can you tell us what type of diode is needed? Thanks alot!
Yeah we did that and it looks awesome, but the thing is that we’re trying to figure out how to keep the DRLs to stay on without turning on the parking lights.
No I haven’t, but my friends and I just used a multimeter and tested every connection to see which goes to which and it worked the only thing that we needed to test is how to keep the DRLs to stay on without turning on the parking lights. I believe or have seen the DRL wire is hooked up to the fuse box if I’m not mistaken.
hey i cut the red wire so that i only have the indicators working from the headlights but now it is flashing way too fast because i think it knows the front indicators are disconnected? how can i slow it back down?
where can i find the link to install HID's with the Spec D headlights? Also are the High beam lights built into the system? I am currently using an HID kit along with OLM high beam lights in order to maintain my high beam function
@@Aaron-fb6mb the back of the housing on the OEM headlights clears the Full Blown Motorsports intercooler piping for the FRS. The BRZ housing is shaped a little differently and Full Blown will give you a silicone coupler to join those two pipes routed slightly different. Now if you have after market headlights the back of the housing on the passenger side won't clear the intercooler piping by a little bit. In my case specifically I had the Spyder headlights and already powder coated my intercooler piping. I wasn't trying to cut the pipe and add a coupler. So my only option was to go back to the OEM lights. I hope that helps.
what if you wanted them for drl's, and low/high/parking lights? or i guess on all the time.. would you wire it to both the possitives (the top left and lower right)? or just one of the connections? my brain is farting...
I cant get my boomerang and turn signals to come on. Only my low beam. Help? He didnt go into specific detail on how to wire the boomerang to come on during daytime/lowbeam

Highly disappointed in these lights. 1. Extremely dim at night 2. Clearcoat came off 3. Noticeable gap around headlamp when bumper reapplied 4. High beam flap gets stuck. Need to tap the headlamp to bring it down. 5. Boomerang faded out after 2 years of minimal use I am now i need of a left headlamp b/c of number 5....thinking about switching to Winjet. I forgot how I wired it and will need to undo the wiring...

Wow, these don't fit with the Vortech kit? I figured the housings would be similar to stock.
Same with full blown kit. I had to go back to stock or cut and reroute my intercooler piping.

I accidentally touched the ground wire on the positive slot and all my lights went off. Did I blow my drl fuse ?

Possible, yes. You will need an 8-pin connector to 6-pin adapter or you can spice each individual function. It is not quite plug and play.
