Hi, I have watched most of your videos on the series landrover twice now, brill😊. Please please keep making more videos, without people like you and your experience the rest of us will undoubtedly struggle. Many thanks Wayne. UK Devon 0:29 0:29
Hi, there are hopefully a lot more videos to come. There's a lot of work in the pipeline for next year, and if all goes to plan I will be making new vids by the end of January. Thanks for watching 🙂👍
I have no experience in engine rebuilding but I’ve worked on machine tools for decades . Thanks to your videos with clear , step by step explanations I think I’m going to try rebuilding an engine myself 😂. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience.
You're welcome! And all the best with your engine build, the feeling of starting an engine you've just built never gets old and if it doesn't start you get to take it apart and build it again. Thanks for watching 🙂 👍
Your videos are good to watch, it's nice to pick up some new tips even after many years working on cars on and off. Did you have to modify your engine stand. I came across something that said the stands on offer don't match up to the land rover bellhousings. I've got a series 2 with back pressure, rotten bulkhead, same path as yourself. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for watching, The engine would bolt directly to the stand but I didn't have any bolts the same thread and long enough so I used 3mm steel plate to bolt it up. Thanks and good luck with your build👍
@@retro.restorations OK.Now the part number ETC5155 is different. The ones My Landy has are the same as the ones you have in those conrods. I would like to get the same type
They might not be made anymore. The ones I had might have been new old stock. I honestly can't remember, I use so many different suppliers it's hard to keep track, but I did use a lot of bearmach on that Land Rover, but unfortunately they're no longer trading.
@@retro.restorations ok, I understand, I ordered new nuts and I follow your video to guide me... do you leave the conrods at 25Lbs or then you put them at 35Lbs

Hi ,Where did you buy the new nuts for the conrod, are they the same as the ones you had on the conrod? thanks
I think they would have been from bearmach, but I'm not 100% certain it was a few years ago. 🙂👍

Are those just aftermarket bearmach/britpart pistons?
There from bearmach
@@retro.restorations thanks 😁
No worries 👍
