Ronnie Dunn is the lead singer most of the time .. he’s the tall skinny one .. the one w the Cowboy hat is the entertainment and guitar player ..Carrie Underwood sang this song on their retirement special .. Ronnie can sang sang .. Kix is on country music radio as a DJ and now has his own podcast .. but they are back as duo now

I think Kix is from Louisiana and Ronnie is a Texas/Oklahoma boy. They did meet in Nashville though!! And yes, they still sound awesome. They both have had solo careers but will always be a dynamic duo. They are classic and classy. ❤️

I inherited a warm country voice from my dad, so this one is a go-to for karaoke nights. Always gets the crowd dancing and singing along, and I almost always have a round or two waiting for me when I get off stage. While Brooks & Dunn are some of the finest to play country, this one in particular really reaches across the aisles to fans of all genres.
I agree with Lisa, “My Maria” should be your next step down this road. I don’t usually like covers better than originals but they owned that song. Ronnie Dunn’s voice is just so pure, it was perfect for My Maria. And yes they still sound great, they just performed with Jason Aldean and Darius Rucker on a New Years show - look that one up.
They went 19-20 years of winning Duo of the Year… only Montgomery Gentry won Duo of the Year once. Winning almost 20 years straight that award is so impressive!!!

I grew up listening to Brooks & Dunn with my sister and "Neon Moon" is one of my favorites. They did a new version of it with Kacey Musgraves which is lovely.
I see a lot of comments for "My Maria", which was not always my favorite (too repetitive). I think "Ain't Nothing 'Bout You" and "Red Dirt Road" are better alternatives to "My Maria" (and I think your ears will happier lol)
Also, if you want some fun songs that are similar to "Boot Scoot Boogie", try "Play Something Country" and "Honky Tonk Stop ft. Billy Gibbons". These are so fun!! You might want a cowboy hat after listening to them LOL
