They are there! Look to the right of the two statues in the background, they fly from behind the cliff. It's a very subtle effect, love that it's not in-your-face! :D
yes, this time I also want to include the models I did + maybe the scene file (removing everything which I cannot give away obv) + final rendered frames so everyone can comp it for learning too
Awesome work man. For this kind of flythrough animation (no moving objects) do you still use irridiance map/LC and pre-baking the GI or just straight Brute force+Light cache? and what's your AA settings and Noise threshold for a smooth anti-aliasing in animation like this with tones of tiny leaves/trees. Thanks.
hey! Thanks! I used BF + LC - I try to use that as much as possible since it always looks the best (its the noisiest though :( ) I think AA settings for BG was something like 5/12 0.025 and FG was 3/13 0.04
My oh my, awesome!!! How did you create the water? It looks so natural. Did you create all this foliage with Speedtree or used any libraries? How were cloud shadows made? Can we get a detailed breakdown of lighting setup and postproduction steps? CONGRATULATIONS!
yes im planning on doing a breakdown for this one too, including he models I did + maybe the scene file (removing everything which I cannot give away obv) + final rendered frames so everyone can comp it for learning too - will be on gumroad
Hey! FG was like 20 min / frame If I remember correctly, the BG is just a 4k still and it took like 45 minutes with high samples... Having a ryzen 9 5950x, 64 GB of RAM and a gtx1660ti I dont think a 3090 could handle those kind of scenes, afaik it only has 24 gb VRAM? This scene took like 39 for the BG and like 12 for the FG...sooo yea...maybe it would be possible with ALOT of optimization etc etc
movie ready.
I wish if there are flock of birds anywhere in this scene! Such good composition Steffen

Great work.pls make a Breakdown video like DUNE CITY project
What kind of computer do you have that can digest scenes like this?? It's just amazing!
Ryzen 9 5950x, 64 GB RAM and gtx1660ti
@@stfVFX Thanks for the answer!
And how long does it take to render one frame on your configuration?
@@MaxChe the BG was rendered in 4k as a still, that took 1 hour...the FG was like 20 min / frame
@@stfVFX Impressive, I thought that about an hour and a half per frame, you probably optimize the scene very well
Nice work. Would love to know how you modelled and textured the cliffs
prob gaea
Holly shit ❤
How much time It took to render? What are your PC Specs? Do you think an RTX 3090 can manage to render this type of environments? Many thanks
