The producers could do some desperate move and if they ever shot a scene that can explain the why Geralt will change face then they can put that in the early episode of next season to still have Henry ti promote the show.😂
You didn’t even mention Rience?! Killing him of early is a major middle finger to what happens in the books. One of the most iconic moment of the franchise is now wasted for nothing.
I enjoyed season 3 where Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri finally got a chance to come together as a family and shows their later motivation to fight to be together. I especially enjoyed the second part with all the amazing action, fighting, and high stakes. I’ll be watching season 4 however sad to see Henry go.
Man... I wish Henry Cavill should just go work independently together with Andrej & CDPR. Become the main producer, then make a proper faithful Witcher anime that directly based on books & games sagas, produced by studios like Ufotable/MAPPA/TRIGGER/KyoAni. Get the showing rights to maybe Amazon. Guaranteed SUCCESS, with cost effective budgets while making hundreds millions of dollar, just like Demon Slayer or AoT for example. He maybe unable to become Geralt in live action, but he still could totally reprise his role as VA for Geralt once again. This whole scenario is actually very much possible since CDPR hold the rights for "their" Witcher universe, including books & games, totally separated from Netflix own Witcher series.
I wonder why Geralt didn't used Quen and Igni while fighting Vilgefortz if he was so tough to beat. I think Geralt used Aard only once which got backfired on him and then he just seemed powerless after that. Honestly in the show I didn't think I have watched Geralt use Axii at all on enemies. So the books do really say Geralt lost when fighting Vilgefortz for first time. I really enjoyed watching the fight between Brotherhood vs the invading attack by Scoia tael and Nilfgaard led by Francesca. That battle was epic ✨💯👏. Tissaia really showed what she could do with her powers as a headmistress of Aretuza by bringing down that thunder which helped the remaining mages survive. It's good news Geralt got to heal in the Brokilon Forest with help from Dryads and also from Yennefer who came at right time. Milva the new lady who gets to team up with Geralt and Jaskier seems to be a very good addition to the Witcher series.
After Geralt using his Aaard vilgerfortz not only countered it but also doubled it as well it looks like with the force he was thrown back with, explaining why he got drained and hurt (Geralt).
I mean this show is only loosely based on the books. Geralt really had no chance to beat Vilgefortz in the books. He ultimately does but with the help of a vampire(whom Vilgz obliterates), Yennifer, and a powerful illusion amulet which was given to him by Fringilla(completely different character from show Fringilla). Geralt doesnt really use his signs often in the books.
@@biffii5568 Yeah, book Vilgefortz was so, so much better than this laughingstock, who lost to Cahir of all people. Don't get me wrong, Cahir's awesome, but he stood zero chance against Vilgefortz, the man was a force of nature in the books.
Idk, for me Part 2 was hard to watch. The story lacks the depth and charm they had in the first 2 seasons, mainly the creative interactions and lore they had with monsters. For season 3 they spent the last 3 episodes on exposition, telling you a character's motivation instead of showing you. They made the actors cry in almost every scene to make it extra "dramatic". And the monsters usually have some story to them, but in season 3 they exist just to be slayed. You also can't help but notice Netflix's woke ideology taking priority over the story, non-stop girl power, cringe and crude dialogue, gay romance that seems out of place, bad casting, and Geralt, the monster slayer, didn't slay a single monster because girls can do it better? Overall it's bad story telling that remains unfaithful to the original. I completely understand why Henry left and I feel sorry for the actors that they have to work with a bad script. I thought some of their performances were great at least with what they were given.
I agree when you mention your direction of 'woke' Hollywood although its not the right word to use. When you say girl power what do you mean specifically?
If you read the books you know S3 P2 is rushed and stupid. So many cheesy and cringe writing. Battle of Thanedd Island was absolute garbage. Djisktra is a bloody joke in this series. He only get to know Philippa's involvement in killing the king at the last moments in the book series. Acting of the cast in part 2 is absolute ameteur. It's like they just want to finish season 3 and be done with it. In the books Geralt is permenantly injured after fighting vilgafortz and never really recoveres fully. Ciri never was intended to go to Tor Lara knowingly and it should have been just an accident. Tor Lara is a broken portal. At this rate Regis and Bonhart will also be a joke I guess. Reince should not be dead. WTF! That showrunner is a show-ruiner.
The killing off Rience removes his epic death in a way cooler way later on, suppose the writers didn't read the next few books and thought this was the best girl boss way to do it. Fuck this show
The irony, the produced had their hands forced. Like their best move to mitigate damages from losing their main audience pull is to finally do what Henry had been asking them to do. This series will definitely go crashing down of they keep messing with the source material further from this point on.
@@Snzn_7 I know it's weird, I always said they'd end up going this way but only when cavill left. He was a powerhouse with a massive voice, if he didn't care I don't think they'd change anything
Btw, about Vilgefortz losing to Cahyr, didnt he say something along the lines that the most painful thing was hiding his true abilities during his foght with Geralt? Also, do not agree with the anti-climatic thingy. Not always the person with the immense strenght and importance needs to have like a deep connection to the main characters or massive buildup. Like, even in real life it just happens. I like those type of characters
I was NOT impressed with this first episode after the break. Yen leaves the school, Yen comes back, Yen leaves again, Yen comes back. It was an editing nightmare!
There is also a scene that is like that. Where the witches go inside Vilgafort's castle and undo the the curse that make the kidnap witches monsters. Then the next scene they went out to the castle back to the woods. Have an argument there that those witches deserves to have proper burial then they go back to the castle again??. Like they could just make the argument scene after they undo the curse.
The last 3 were relatively book accurate. I feel like they crammed in everything at the end but look at how much better it got when they killed off all the junk plot lines and started trying to stick to the story.
Let me get this straight Henry won't get a chance to kick Vilgefortz'bum ever!!? All right, get both actors in a ring and ash it out please so we can get a sense of closure here. Thank you in advance...😌🐺⚔️

I think I will probably switch over and just read the books from here on out. I've been wanting to anyway. Geralt in this season was just so freaking soft. He felt like such a change from season 2. I loved seeing what happened with Yennifer and how she grew into a mother figure. I thought it was alright as a season. Not awesome by any standard. Curious as to see what is going to happen with the face switch. Him getting injured was probably a good time to do it. Unless Henry Cavill ends up in a few episodes in season 4 and they do it then... I don't know how they are going to do it well.
Even watching multiple times and listening to break downs this show is still soooo hard to follow. I swear characters themselves have messed up allegiances getting the confused with one-another. I have no idea how this show can maintain any casual viewers
Henry Cavill is the iconic, ultimate Witcher... there just can't be another Witcher... Its a shame that with losing him, they essentially managed to kill the show
Not read the books but have liked the series up until now. Unfortunately although it happens in the books I was surprised how easily vilgefortz took down Gerhalt after him defeating everything up until now. It felt like he wasn't even trying and vilgefortz didn't even seem to break a sweat. It's sad that the last we see of Cavill is him pretty much defeated and he won't get a chance to win. I don't think I'll be watching anymore as I didn't really like the last few episodes after he was defeated. I read up on what happens next and don't think I'll be reading the books either especially after finding out what happens to ciri.
@ 5:42 - "irregardless" is not a word. It is a corruption and as a double-negative actually says they opposite of what you are saying. The correct word is "regardless".
I can't tell the substantive difference between this and that Wheel of Time show... just seems like the same bunch of WB-grade actors in silly costumes waving their hands around so an F/X team ( the real heroes ) can add magical beams and bursts of power for these larping strong women and dudes with eye-liner. Cavill was too good for this...
I’m sorry Paul, I gotta be that person this time round. Coup is pronounced Coo, Irregardless isn’t a word, and Super Saiyan is pronounced Super Sayin’.
I think Paul said seasons 4 and 5 were filmed back to back but Redanian Intelligence says filming of season 4 won’t start until next year. It’s supposed to have started in September. So if they go through with season 4, we won’t see it until late 2024 at the earliest.
I guess I am in the minority amongst the book fans, but I enjoyed this season very much and most of it was cut out from the book. It really eemed to be a pretty accurate adaptation! and, even more controversial, I think Henry is nothing special. The character of Geralt is quite "unimpressive" in terms of acting and I dont think Henry will be difficult to replace. I feel rather indifferent about who grunts and Henry lacks the depth that book Geralt has for me. I could blame this on the writers, but I've felt this way for every role Henry has played, so I guess it really is his acting that doesnt work for me. So..... I am excited for hemsworth. Also, I feel emotionally much more attached to Yen and particularly Ciri which both have splendid actrices. Also Geralt's importance to the story gets smaller and smaller by the page, in the end he's just taking along walk, has some scirmishes with the squirrals, hides a whole winter in a cute dutchy AND then finally is important to the story again. so yeah, it's really ciri's story and I am so happy to have such a perfect casting for her :)
Vilgafortz told Geralt he had held back whilst fighting in the past to hide his power. Anyway Ii thought it was awful. The fights were good but that's all. There's no way, regardless of what they do, Geralt can be changed as an actor and it go well. That's the end of the witcher for me!
The time when they kill the fucking fire wizard was so bad, we literally hunted this guy for 1.5 seasons and he dies with one shot to the neck? so disappointing..

I especially enjoyed the second part with all the amazing action, fighting, and high stakes. I’ll be watching season 4 however sad to see Henry go.
Same, the show and the books both focus on their relationship and the family like structure. That is no doubt the highlight for me
I still don't understand one thing: did Ciri loose her powers? Because she kinda gave them up. It was both boring and confusing.
She looses them at the end of the desert to save the unicorn 🦄
And I was wondering, did Falka uses Ciris body to come again in thaht world?
After Geralt using his Aaard vilgerfortz not only countered it but also doubled it as well it looks like with the force he was thrown back with, explaining why he got drained and hurt (Geralt).
i mean he got destroyed in the book, the fight was just a demonstration of how strong Vilgefortz was, nothing he could've done.
@@biffii5568 To be fair he should of got beaten way more easily and brutally by Vilgefortz.
There are rarely any witcher scenes in part 2 i watched this show for Henry cavill as witcher and when he is rarely there i feel deceived
Watch season 4 majorly show the Witcher with Liam lmao just salt in the wound
@@idreeskhan8885i think he means that everything has one super op girl in it. So he was tired of seeing it.
Part 1 and part 2 were embarrassingly bad. Henry was the only good part and he was barley in it
A lot of scenes do feel like they should have just cut those out and make instead used those runtime to expand the story of Part two more.
Long live Henry Cavill
What was the scene at 12:10 I don’t remember that scene is that about the wild hunt?
Fuck this show
Wow these 3 episodes where bizarre.
Henry away from the ladies, for the majority.
Felt like he was already gone in an odd way...
Such a waste. :(
Cavil left because it wasn't lore accurate now they're starting to include this lore and he's gone🤯
Honestly, don’t waste your time with this season. Such a shame what they’ve done with this story and it’s characters. It deserves better.
The trailer was better then second volume of episodes. What a train wreck of a season finale and season as a whole.
Brilliant sir 🙏🏾 as usual
I really couldn't get into this season. I think it was the writing. I dont think I'll be watching anymore though.
Whoever wrote the desert episode should be fired, it was legitimately painful to watch. Season 3 sucked in my opinion.
The last 3 were relatively book accurate. I feel like they crammed in everything at the end but look at how much better it got when they killed off all the junk plot lines and started trying to stick to the story.
No they didn’t
Just burn it all.
I can’t.
I’m so mad. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I wanted to throw my remote at the TV at some points during these episodes
@@justlivin2499 Yeah I’m a dork and woke up early. Like I was up at 4 am and NOT impressed lol.
@@chancylatour same here
Thanks for the info
Let me get this straight Henry won't get a chance to kick Vilgefortz'bum ever!!? All right, get both actors in a ring and ash it out please so we can get a sense of closure here.
Thank you in advance...😌🐺⚔️
We had an entire Ciri episode so full of f bombs it practically turned the desert she was in to glass 😂
I got thru the books and enjoyed this season. They did change some of the story but overall pretty book accurate. It felt like how I envisioned it in my mind. I feel bad people are getting mad at the show because Henry is leaving. it’s not as bad as people are saying online.
Well no they made plenty of changes that made no sense and literally took the character everyone loved and backseated him. They had a goldmine of a show and if they followed the source material this would of been amazing.
Just watched second part and so disappointed. Really didn’t like it
Gave an upvote and really enjoy the content, but irregardless is not a word, just say regardless. 👍
Thanks Paul.
How tf will thry transition from Cavill to Hemsworth as Cavill is alright at the end? I thought something would happen to his face at the end and we will get the change in S4
Love the channel ❤️✊ but! How is the boys lore accurate?
Season 1 was as good as it ever got
I enjoyed Blood Origin. In fact, I loved the entire Nextflix Witcher series.
I totally forgot part 2 came out today! Weekend binge set. I still like the show. I’ll miss Cavill for sure.
🤘🏿Up in this piece early!🤘🏿
It's not 2005
@@Natashajb no, it’s not.
13:37 sounds like you said she had to pick the Skrulls over the Emperor lol
Jeskier is not gay.
I stopped watching it when they did that.
No more Netflix
I'm just saying he was one of my favourite characters and they completely tried to forcefeed some woke shit when it was unessential.
Netflix will be boycotted in my gaff
its woke virtue rainbow signalling cringe I dont wanna see in the Witcher and Im bi. Also the fat ugly diversity characters were terrible too lol.
@@marlybobeatsi agree, that whole part was so unnecessary and cringey
The closed captions drop of over 9000 was awesome. Thank you for that 3:24
What a disappointing ending to Henry cavills last episode and rest of the season
What happened to Istredd and Cahir? 🤔 they're not in the last episode
As a fan of the books, I could answer about Cahir but Netflix has deviated so freaking much I’m not even sure if it’ll stay the same
@@justlivin2499 I know right? Cahir didn't do that cringe fking thing in Thanedd XD WTF! Reince is dead? Who the F is Dara? Dandelion is becoming a moody fk XD
Wow didn’t even know the series was out time to watch the last season of the show
You clearly forgot to mention Mistle who is part of The Rats and the love interest of Ciri😭😭
And also her rapist😪
Plz plz plzzzzz do a video an GONE GIRL, just watched it and it’s a masterpiece with an ending nobody would expect
“Irregardless” is not a real word.
I didn’t know an owl could one shot a man holding a knife
Well now you know.
Its a shame that with losing him, they essentially managed to kill the show
Can anyone explain to me why Vilgevortz had a half-melted face in the last scene he had? I feel like I missed sometihng (potentially important)...
@@DA-cz5fn Cheers for telling me. I clearly forgot abt that scene. My bad.
The subtitle guy had a lot of fun on this one
Not read the books but have liked the series up until now. Unfortunately although it happens in the books I was surprised how easily vilgefortz took down Gerhalt after him defeating everything up until now. It felt like he wasn't even trying and vilgefortz didn't even seem to break a sweat. It's sad that the last we see of Cavill is him pretty much defeated and he won't get a chance to win. I don't think I'll be watching anymore as I didn't really like the last few episodes after he was defeated. I read up on what happens next and don't think I'll be reading the books either especially after finding out what happens to ciri.
Vecna was an awful addition imo. Seasons hyping up this other Lovecraftian terror to be demoted to the henchman of a janitor.
@ 5:42 - "irregardless" is not a word. It is a corruption and as a double-negative actually says they opposite of what you are saying. The correct word is "regardless".
@blue291 holy crap your such a nerd for that.
Grammar policing a single mistake in the video lmao
110% agree with u❤
Perfect breakdown as always
I can't tell the substantive difference between this and that Wheel of Time show... just seems like the same bunch of WB-grade actors in silly costumes waving their hands around so an F/X team ( the real heroes ) can add magical beams and bursts of power for these larping strong women and dudes with eye-liner. Cavill was too good for this...
“Guys, it’s been Ciri’s story all along”. I really loathe Netflix and Prime and what they do to vandalize these beloved IPs.
I mean it was kinda like that in the book, it’s the story of geralt and ciri but towards then end it’s mostly ciri
I’m sorry Paul, I gotta be that person this time round. Coup is pronounced Coo, Irregardless isn’t a word, and Super Saiyan is pronounced Super Sayin’.
Good fight from the sorcerers. They managed to kill 179 of the 50 scoia'tel. Too bad they left a good 20 alive.
Algorithm 👍🏾 just got around to finishing season 3, the desert scenes stressed me out 😩
What next season? The Netflix Witcher fan fiction is finished, not sure where you got the idea there would be another season…
The show is dead after he’s gone. To much focus on the bard too.
I think Paul said seasons 4 and 5 were filmed back to back but Redanian Intelligence says filming of season 4 won’t start until next year. It’s supposed to have started in September. So if they go through with season 4, we won’t see it until late 2024 at the earliest.
This season was terrible, the finale was garbage. Apparently they think its a good idea to make the witcher a side character in The Witcher.
THATS HOW IT ISSS in the books !!
Well, the actor's strike has put filming of season 4 on hold. I hope it tanks it all together.
What was so seamless about that. Dude just walked off into a fog.
Funny how the people crying about the show not being faithful to the books NEVER READ THE BOOKS
They already announced the show isn't going to touch the games. 😅
They saved all the good stuff from this season for Part 2.
Vilgafortz told Geralt he had held back whilst fighting in the past to hide his power.
Anyway Ii thought it was awful. The fights were good but that's all. There's no way, regardless of what they do, Geralt can be changed as an actor and it go well. That's the end of the witcher for me!
My Netflix profile pic is Henry's witcher and it will never change❤❤
Y: Same
