In '92, it was Anthony King, in 2015 it's John Curtice. Both describe accurately what is going on. And both times Peter Kellner is there, tries to sound important but it's mostly waffle. (And John Curtice would have predicted this result - he's a force of nature!)
he was pretty stupid though. remember Brass Eye? "MP David Ames MP gives the cake campaign a political kick in the pills!" imagine being so thick as pigshit that one mentions an obviously fake drug in the house of commons! what a retard!
The BBC projected a completely inaccurate result for an hour leading people like Bryan Gould to say stupid things. “One thing is certain: John Major has lost.” When the projection was questioned they got v defensive and testy. But David Mellor’s suggestion that the the exit poll might be wrong has absolutely justified.
True but it was the first exit poll they had ever done and it wasn’t just them saying that. ITN’s poll also had them down. What it did do was set up 30 years of “Exit Polls are wrong” at the start of every election broadcast.

The 1992 election was the first one I was able to vote in having turned 18 the previous November. It was an absolutely delightful day, taking place in the middle of an early April heatwave. Me and my friend went to the local polling station which was on the edge of the local park, voted and we stayed in the park playing football all day it was that nice. I remember before I went out I asked my dad how to vote, never having done it before and he said verbatim “you go into the polling station with your polling card, they check who you are and give you a slip of paper with all the candidates on, then you go in the booth and use the pencil to put an ‘x’ next to the Conservative party candidate.” 😂😂
Holydiver73 : I am an American. I turned 18 two yrs earlier in June 1989. But it wasn't until Nov. 1992 when I was 21 when I voted in my first US presidential election. I remember walking around many neighborhoods in my hometown with my sister who then was a very young child passing out political leaflets to people door to door of the Democratic party presidential candidate for that year Bill Clinton. He would win the election and serve as US president from 1993 to 2001. Great memories.

Yes and no national debate. If anything rather a cover-up.

Trivialising a man's murder in order to point score politically.

In some ways I can see this happening next time whenever that may be. The Tories scraping through with a narrow majority.
probably
Looking at present polling that looks unlikely. The best the Tories can hope for is a hung parliament, if they're extremely lucky
Even in the slimiest possible that thus happens, it won't be the Tory that won it but the Labour Party under Keir Starmer that lost it.........
Not quite
