In the 1933 movie the cameras start flashing when Ann and Jack are onstage with Kong, Kong starts roaring, and Carl says "Hey wait a minute, stop, he thinks you're attacking the girl!" He nearly understood in that movie - as reckless as he was with everyone else's lives. Here he didn't get it till the very end.

In this version and also the one from -76 with Jeff Bridges and Jessica Lange ”Kongs bride ” develops some kind of feelings and sympathy for him while Fay Wray in the -33 version just screams her head off in every scene with Kong😊
