Fun fact, the original Jurassic Park has the least amount of dinosaur screen time out of all the movies in the franchise, only 15 minutes of it. But every time the dinosaurs are on the screen it's incredible and never wasted. Better than the dinosaurs in the other movies. Quality over quantity.
And JP1 is still a masterpiece in 2024. Not only the best in franchise (by a long shot tbh), but one of the best science fiction movies, period :)
I just watched the lost world, and it is crazy how much worse the effects are. I guess they had a lot less time to spend on each individual scene I suppose

Jurassic Park 1993 is the best out of the whole franchise IMO. I love the scene with the kids in the jeep and then when one of the small raptures or whatever it’s called gets the big dude.

The glass was not supposed to fall when the Trex attacked the car. The Trex puppet was extremely heavy and could have easily killed the kids if it fell further.

Source?? Because its highly unlikely that the falling glass was an accident and not in script. I do not believe this.

Nothing can beat the OG Jurassic Park movie, likeable and realtable characters, well written dialogue and some quotable lines, a masterpiece of soundtracks by the legendary John Williams, and also effects that still hold up to this very day, and I'm not kidding, it makes today effects in recent modern blockbusters look like garbage. I recently rewatched the JW movies and man, those effects didn't quite so well. They look like rubber plastic. But here in this movie and the only sequel, The Lost World, the dinosaurs look very realistic, belong in a real world if they were alive today. Cause the CGI in the first two Jurassic Park movies, they only used for wide shots. But when it was close to an actor or closeup shots, they use an animatronic creature by Stan Winston Studios, one of the best creature effects ever, in my opinion.
Nothing can beat the OG Jurassic Park movie likeable and relatable characters well written

I can’t believe the writers even had the gaul to tease us with the raptor riding the motorbike through the air. For anyone that doesn’t know, on what of the scripts that was eventually abandoned, I forget for which film, either two or three I believe; but the writers had a raptor chasing someone on a motorbike and the raptor ends up colliding with them in midair and ends up on the motorbike making it look like it’s riding it through the air. I can only imagine that writer hated the Jurassic series as a whole and wanted to ruin it.
Unfortunately we did receive something just as bad as that, in the “Alan raptor on the plane ✈️.” Then of course we got velociraptors that are basically trained House puppies that can somehow distinguish morality and the difference between good and evil. If they want to make a great movie, get writers who know the art and structure of storytelling and get like 10-20 diehard fans like Klayton who knows his ish, and you will have an incredible movie.
