    Truly one of the most underrated homesteading channels. And one of my favorites. Love this channel so much.

    Have you ever considered a fireplace that retains thermal mass in your greenhouse? It could give you an earlier head start on spring planting, and potentially even give you year-round food production. I’m considering something like this for a passive solar greenhouse myself, but still brainstorming/researching.

    Hello I just discovered your channel yesterday Jan. 2nd. I am currently watching story #28. Obviously your channel interests me, and as I am layed up in bed with a back injury I am grateful to have found your channel. The wood carvings that Jonas creates are beautiful and would, I am sure be a very likeable and saleable item on your Etsy shop. Oh and Laura your ink art is amazing.

    I love the way you both work in a very therapeutic way relaxed but you still get there in good time.

    my cat did the armpit thing with my husband too for some time! Maybe that they have a lack of salt in their body at that time?? Our sweat is salty... 😆🤔

      My cat did the armpit thing one time during summer when I was wearing a singlet. I thought it was funny until she bit me! I shrieked startling her. We both decided this was not a good idea and it never happened again.
      Your kitty reminds me a little of her. Love your mutual interactions, delightful to watch. Regards from Australia.

    Beste Laura en Jonas, ik zie dat jullie een walker stove hebben gebouwd. Ik heb inmiddels ook de tekeningen binnen maar ik wilde graag van jullie weten hoeveel m3 m moeten jullie verwarmen en lukt dat ook goed ? complimenten voor jullie project.

      Hoi Geert! Ja wij hebben hier de 'tiny' versie gebouwd van de Walker stove :) We verwarmen hier 40m2. Het duurt even voor hij goed warmte afgeeft maar dan geeft hij wel warmte voor de hele nacht als je savonds erop kookt. We hebben hier nog wat afwerking te doen zoals dichten van tochtgaatjes enz. maar hebben wel de indruk dat het voldoende is voor deze ruimte :)

    Great video, beatiful goat. Tallinn has been getting a lotta snow lately and the city was not quite prepared for it - as if it never happened before 💁. What about Saaremaa - is snow shoveling already vital for survival? 🤔

    Some time ago, you said will be honest, what is temperature in winter at your house in the morning before you light a stove? :) And ofcourse what is temperature outside at the same time... :)

      @The.Land.of.Slow.Living  Год назад +5

      When it's around -3C or -4C outside at night , and we used the stove for cooking in the evening before, it's around 16C when we get up in the morning ;)

    How about the humidity in your cabin? High humidity level is a high risk for several deseases. I hope you are okay :-)

      One more question, couse im curiouse. Do you wash the seaweed before put it on the compost? Isnt it too salty for that?

    • @The.Land.of.Slow.Living
      @The.Land.of.Slow.Living  Год назад +1

      @@Kaczyfunny Because we live up here in the North, our seawater is not so salty actually! and we try to collect the seaweed after a good shower of rain so it's free of sand as well 😊
