Those are nice, but I like the ones that are basically a stop sign on a flexible pole. When your car touches the pole the stop sign lights up. Even when the batteries die in the sign you can still use it because the pole is flexible and you can see when your care touches it. A very simple idea that works with or without power/batteries.

I used the hanging tennis ball for years until I (finally) got a car with rear camera. I positioned the car in the correct place then put masking tape on the garage floor to mark when I had passed over the safe border of the door. I just check from 'R' when I think I have entered far enough and adjust.
Also, using the edge of the mirrors from your normal driving position you can line up to a feature (or mark) on the wall and just repeat every time you enter the garage. Works like a charm for me.

The easiest way and won't cost you a dime is to pull in until you clear the garage door (might take a minute or two) then look to your left and get a reference point on your wall from your position in your drivers seat, that's it.

I had the STKR parking sensor. I definitely do NOT recommend it. That thing drains battery so quickly, that I had to change it about every month. And when batteries are low (~ 30%), the sensors were no longer accurate where it would not indicate proper distance to stop. If you’re look8mg for something like this, look into one that can powered by AC plug) like the Park Zone Parking Aid.

you can use other kinds or balls like a ping pong ball or wiffle ball. they also make lasers where it is an adjustable line instead of a dot.
the problem with the lasers is it stops shining if you leave your garage open for some time.
to be independent of power outages or any batter issues the ball on the string is the better option. during power outages you can manually release the garage door to open it and not rely on any power with the weighted string method.

get old (large 90+ oz) laundry detergent bottle, a bike flag, duct tape, and either sand or the cheapest cat litter you can find. 1) Cut/drill hole in lid of bottle just big enough for the flag pole to fit in. 2) remove the inner spout thing from bottle and fill bottle w/sand or litter. 3) put flag through lid then push flag into the bottle until it bottoms out and screw on lid. Wrap lid and flag w/duct tape to ensure lid and flag are secure and minimize chance of either coming off. 4) W/car in the proper parking position, place bottle w/flag so that the flag touches the bumper (or license plate), then use some duct tape (5") to mark the spot on the floor where the bottle sits. this way you know where the bottle-flag goes if it has to be moved. Or some HF wheel chocks or a 5' long 4"x4" post works too.....no pesky ball hanging from the ceiling or batteries to replace. 🏁
