As a first responder's daughter, I really appreciate everything you do. My dad passed away on a call back in 2003 and I have learned so much about your profession and how it has changed from when my dad worked scenes from your videos. You and your crew are amazing people. Our dads are watching over us. Please stay safe and God bless.
Oh I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. It happens way to often and is preventable if folks would just pay attention. Thank you for the kind comments and I am so glad you like the channel content. Yes, we have some fine Guardian Angels watching for sure. Thank you for watching and God bless
I can understand the way you feel I’m the son of a first responder and have lost a few good friends of mine and his along the way but I follow my dad’s footsteps in the fire service
I love how well respected Ron and his crew are by the people living in the area, not a single angry person to see when the road gets shut down, so nice!
Another Friday evening with Midwest Truck & Tow as they help another motorist mired down in soft soil up to the wheel hubs. A nice and safe recovery to get everyone on their way. It is always a pleasure to watch neighbors helping neighbors. Thank you and God’s blessings to Ron and everyone at Midwest Truck & Tow.
Another awesome Friday morning, with a Ron Pratt video. You got in, pulled them out, and got out quickly and safely. It’s also good that you have a good rapport with the sheriff department. Keeping you, your family, and the Midwest crew in my prayers this winter. Stay safe, stay healthy, and God bless.
as always a great video.that sheriff is awesome, anytime he is on scene, what ever you need ron.and how often do you see the actual sheriff, helping out.i have a feeling he is a subscriber to your channel.i think he enjoys the recoverys like the rest of us.its very easy too see law enforcement sees how awesome you are.they never question your plan for getting the job done.i hope the sheriff reads the comments,he is a class act!
You are correct, he is definitely a class act. He is a small town guy and over the years we have developed a good friendship. Thank you for watching and God bless.
Brother i use the information you've taught on your channel daily. Just yesterday I used a " Holmes " tree to recover a p600 mail truck. I learned that on the uhaul recovery from behind the apt you did. Thanks for the videos. Rip Bill Pratt. A legend in the towing industry .
I hate watching people rush. In an off-road recovery, the first thing I do after stabilising the vehicle and caring for the vehicle's occupants is boil the billy & have a cup of tea. But I also know that tow trucks don't have that luxury. Still, you're always calm and 😎 cool, except for this one. Understandably so. I hope you, your family, and the MWT team are finding peace and the days are getting brighter again. I hope you all had a marvellous Christmas and a fantastic New Years. I have you all in my hearts and wish that you all remain safe. Thanks for sharing another great video.
Thank you for the kind comments. Yes, this year has been different for our family. We are managing and moving forward as Dad always directed. Wishing you and yours a healthy and happy New Year as well. Thank you for watching and God bless
It is amazing what can happen when you follow the recipe. Respect, honesty, humility, competence, and hard work are all ingredients for a life well lived. It is obvious Ron that you practice these principles in your daily life.
Ron i am so sorry for your lose.,i seen the video of your first job with out your Dad.i was truly moved specially when that bald eagle overhead.you are the best son any father could have.you take care.
Another rescue flawlessly executed. If Tator could talk it would be Ho Hum, nothing to it. That is one powerful machine and I never grow tired of watching Ron make it work. You, your family and crew have a great and safe year.
Another great video Ron, love it, your truly a good man and truly care about all you meet, your a credit to your father and your family he's always with you looking down smiling and immensely proud of his son - I hardly know you and I'm proud so your father would be maybe a million times more prouder then me , either way stay safe, stay blessed, happy new year to all of the Midwest team we love your videos
Thank you so much for the kind comments. I sure miss that man and always will. It is so quiet without him. Happy New Year. Thank you for watching and God bless
Theres good for those who love God! Hes a hard working man and trusts God in all his life. Boy I sure wish guys like this were not so hard to come by these days..
I love your videos and how you treat your long working employees and the way you explain and being helpful and not using bad words and not disrespectful to them anyone with kids I tell them about your RUclips channel keep up the good work
Nice and easy pull. Alex woke me up for this. He is doing a bit better after we had the snow. He hates the cold weather. He shivers a lot during the fall and winter. Him being very small he has zero fat on him. Primordial dwarves also tend to get cold very easily. If he isn't in my coat when I am wearing it, he wraps himself up in a heated weighted blanket.
Amazing video of your professionalism and wonderful coordination with the local police/sherriff. You are so courteous and professional. God Bless you and your family.
Ron you are lucky that you had the right truck and equipment to do the job and God Bless you and your family and friends and be careful and safe and may the force be with you.
LOVE THE TATER!!!!! GREAT JOB as usual.. I LOVE watching you work with that thing-- no matter what the job.. and they don't all have to be exciting tree climbing or car flipping deals--they're STILL fascinating.. People just do not realize what goes into doing something like that.
I love that sheriff, and I’ve been praying for you and your family non stop, keep up the good work, and may god bless you and your family, your dad would be proud of you, stay blessed my friend🙌🙌❤️❤️
We got about an inch here and very cold temps. A bit down south, there were icy roads and many crashes as a result. Stay safe. Thank you for watching and God bless
Truly amazed at how many lives you touch each Friday morning. Zero views when I grabbed this one, and 23 minutes later, 2400+. Thanks for giving us another Friday morning adventure to enjoy. Happy New Year to you and your crew and family. Stay safe and healthy.
Thank you. My wife and I believe that this channel is a way to promote positive entertainment and family friendly videos. We are directed from above and as long as we continue that, we will be just fine. Thank you for watching and God bless
I got the notification this morning but always wait until I get home to watch. Here it is, about 6:30 pm (eastern time) and there's now 47k views. There's a good reason that this channel has nearly 500k subscribers.
I don't remember how I found your channel, but I'm glad I did. You and the rest of your crew are so professional, and it seems the law enforcement in your area are equally as professional and courteous. Always enjoy your videos and seeing the big beast in action.
Happy new year to you and everyone else at Midwest Truck. I pray that it is a successful one so far. You did another magnificent job as always Ron. Your courteousness and professionalism is to be commended. The relationship you have with the law enforcement there is beautiful. I admire and appreciate the hard work and time you (and your team) puts in to keeping the roads safe. May our Lord and Savior bless you and keep you. Amen 🙏😇🎆.
Happy new year! Thank you for the kind comments. We have worked hard to develop mutually respectful relationships with our first responders in the area. Thank you for watching and God bless.
@@RonPratt That is very good. Part of that respect is they don't tell you how to your job and you don't tell them how to do theirs. You assist each other. There was incident some 10+ years ago in San Diego County, CA where the local fire department was on the scene of a crash on the I-5 freeway and were blocking several lanes to protect their crew (as well as those in the vehicle they were treating). The CHP officer on scene did not like them blocking so much of the freeway. The mentality was CHP in charge of the freeway/crash scene and the fire department was to do as they were told (not as they were trained). The officer demanded they move the truck, the engineer refused and the officer proceeded to arrest him for refusing to comply.
Ron, that turned out well. I have the highest respect for our LEO'S, and the work that they do. I've not been a police officer, but I've served in the military, and been a park ranger, helped direct traffic for law enforcement, and I know that our country would be worse off without them. Why some have negative views about them is beyond me.
First, thank you for your service. Second, as we all know a few bad seeds are noticed far more than the healthy ones. I have always had a great rapport with our Law Enforcement. I show respect and I tend to receive it back. Even if I don't......I have done my part by not wavering. Thank you for watching and God bless
Belated Merry Christmas & Happy New Year. Good to see you back on road. Nice pull and does not hurt to be nice to the law on any job. Respect goes both ways always. Have a safe day and year.
Looked like a straight and easy pull out of the mud. However, when you have to shutdown a two-way street that is where the stress of the job is. Good Work Ron.
Always nice to have the right equipment to do the job. Ron another job done right and with ease. You've got the skill and temperament, especially both!!
Great job!! The only problem I find is that YOU are so professional and good, you make it look easy. You get people (like me) thinking, "Heck, I coulda done that!". Maybe.. But not until we have the time, experience, and learning invested that you do. Thanks for letting me watch..
Eh with a big enough winch and a solid point to pull from you could move anything..... Maybe not what you wanted move but something will definitely move lol
Another great video showing why one of the best in the trade. The sheriffs seem to be more than helpful it’s so good to see everybody taking part to get the job done . Been in the uk our Recovery Drivers have no protection . There isn’t a law to tell folks to slow down & move over it’s so scary to see idiots racing past . But me & the wife love the channel . Since your dad sadly passed away have you thought of naming one of your fleet after him. I know he ment the world to you all & he was a key figure .
Thank you so much for such supportive comments. I am glad you and your wife enjoy the channel. My Dad's truck was the Western Star Vulcan and his name is on the door. I would love to have that truck redone in his honor some day. He was my mentor, my friend and our rock. He is definitely missed, but we intend to continue his vision. Thank you for watching and God bless
@@RonPratt I lost my dad about 28 years ago & it still hurts . But I know he is up there watching me . I would of loved to say my god byes to him but I missed out I’m happy in the knowledge that when we went away on Holidays I was always his navigator with a map before sat nav’s I. I got married 27 years ago. Passed my driving test . And had my kids sitting were I sat as. A lad in the passenger seat . Thinking how he mentored me in different way . Just like your good old dad there souls live on with us & watch down on our families too keep us safe
Man I’d love to work with y’all. I love how y’all work as a team. Talk about work family! But I’m battling cancer so when I’m down from chemo, or not feeling well your videos helps keep my mind off of my situation. Thanks for the videos and may god bless y’all!!
Since Ron is seems to be monitoring and replying to this video so much, Ron, let me join the rest of the chorus in expressing my condolences for loss of your dad. I'm sure with a family business there's a lot of legal and financial stress on top of the grief we all experience with the loss of a loved on, and I pray that's going smoothly for you so you can focus on the more important human element. On a much less emotional note, let me also express my thanks for this channel - both for entertaining me through a bunch of covid lockdowns (Whee, big trucks! I'm five again!), and as a desk-bound civil engineer for helping me see how the roadside safety elements that we design perform in the real world, whether that be cables, guardrail, shoulders, clear zones, side slopes, etc. There's little I haven't known, but seeing safety features perform (or be intensely absent, on many of your rural recoveries) in the real world helps turn 'knowledge' into 'understanding'.
Thank you for the condolences. We are managing as well as can be expected. The business is in good shape and we don't plan on going anywhere other than forward, with the Lord's Blessing. RUclips has changed considerably since I first started this channel. The channel has also changed. When we first started the channel, either myself or my wife would do our best to respond to EVERY comment. As things changed on RUclips and as our channel has grown, the number of comments has grown exponentially. It take a great deal of time just to create the videos and read through and approve comments. We had gotten away from responding to every single comment due to time constraints. We have God, family, business, RUclips, and personal time that all need attention as well as many other things. It's even more difficult now, after the loss of my Dad, as I take on more responsibilities. However, the wife and I are going to do our best to start responding to MORE comments that we have been. We have been so Blessed by our viewers with the overwhelming support we have received after the loss of my Dad. So, we are going to put forth more effort and caring in response. Thanks for watching and God bless.
Mud is evil I swear. It looks solid, but add some weight and it changes to another beast. Reminds me of that dumptruck pull you did years ago. Had me worried about a side pull as you did a longitudal pull on that and you were sliding so i expected the same issues here.
Just found your channel a few weeks ago.......I have watched a lot of the videos.......no 2 videos are the same.......I absolutely love how you handle the situation in each case........being with the fire department we work with towing companies as well after we do what we need to do with the occupants.........keep doing what you are doing........be safe out there 🙂
Welcome to the channel and thank you for spending time watching the videos. We work hard to be proficient and courteous to our customers and with other agencies. Thank you for watching and God bless
@@RonPratt 😂😁😂 I always love that you are not afraid to bring God into your conversations. I've been reading God's word virtually every day since I was 11. Now 70. Best guide to life even if there is a difference in beliefs.
When even the Sheriff knows you by name... it means you're doing a great job. the man could have kept driving, but he stopped because he wanted to help out.
Burton Cummins ,I was stationed in MO. way back in the seventies, I think that it must be a requirement that LEOs in MO be nice guys. Then they would enforce the law, but do everything in their power to help if you needed help. I was changing a tire right off I-44 MO state trooper stopped behind me turned on the take down lights on his unit, kept me and my family safe till I got the tire changed then waved his hand at me drove off.
Looks more like a utility boom truck than a chipper truck to me. I love the optimism of you telling the Sherriff Merry Christmas like you wouldn't likely see each other later on in the night at some incident in the middle of nowhere because there's always multiple incidents on and around Christmas.
When you see "I should" in the the over-video text, you know it's going to be an entertaining video. #nobodysperfect I also admit I an urge to start pulling some shackles as he was starting on the straps. Sadly, I wasn't there ... and liability issues if I did help lol Thanks, Ron for sharing some of your day with us. God's many blessings to you!
Get's on scene...doesn't call the sheriff but the sheriff shows up and just works with Ron, this is how you know you deal with top shelf folks in the area pure and simple.

Thank you for watching and God bless.
For me it felt like Willie Nelson - On the Road again 😉 Great job!
Hahaha, thank you for the laugh. Thank you for watching and God bless.
Happy New Year . Hoping you have another great year in business.
Thank you and Happy New Year to you as well. Thank you for watching and God bless
It's pretty cool living in the area and knowing where he is and driving by old scenes he's been at
Thank you for watching and God bless.
Your truck always looks brand new. Great show.
Thanks 👍 Thank you for watching and God bless!
Awesome haul Ron. I hope you have a great day 💗
Thank you for watching and God bless
As always very professional job. Enjoy your videos, HAPPY NEW YEAR and MY Condolences to you families on the passing of your pops.
Thank you for the condolences and a Happy New Year to you and yours. Thank you for watching and God bless.
Man I’d love to work with y’all. I love how y’all work as a team. Talk about work family! But I’m battling cancer so when I’m down from chemo, or not feeling well your videos helps keep my mind off of my situation. Thanks for the videos and may god bless y’all!!
I pray the recovery is quick and all is well with you soon. To know I can help you pass the time warms my heart. Thank you for watching and God bless
Take care of yourself, Wes. I hope you have support from family and friends for basics and fetching stuff.
The job wasn't that bad Ron, the Tater handled it well 👍 Thanks fer taking us along, Bud, God Bless !!🙏
You bet. Thank you for watching and God bless.
Thank you for sharing
Nice to have an easy one, even if you did have to hustle to re-open the road!
The easy ones are nice sometimes. I'm getting old!!!! LOL Thank you for watching and God bless.
Yes! It's snowing and I'm off work so was looking for something 'normal' to watch. Thank you.
Glad one person finds me "normal." LOL Thank you for watching and God bless
@@RonPratt 😂😁😂 I always love that you are not afraid to bring God into your conversations. I've been reading God's word virtually every day since I was 11. Now 70. Best guide to life even if there is a difference in beliefs.
When even the Sheriff knows you by name... it means you're doing a great job. the man could have kept driving, but he stopped because he wanted to help out.
He is a credit to his profession. Thank you for watching and God bless
Doing a great job and being safe. It was nice of the sheriff to help 🙏 all involved and to your family and employees. Happy New also from Oxford Ms
Same to you! God bless and thank you for watching.
Nice pull Ron. When I saw the situation I knew exactly how you were going to do the pull. Beautiful.
Good call then. Thank you for watching and God bless
Looks more like a utility boom truck than a chipper truck to me. I love the optimism of you telling the Sherriff Merry Christmas like you wouldn't likely see each other later on in the night at some incident in the middle of nowhere because there's always multiple incidents on and around Christmas.
It was fairly quiet around here briefly. Thank you for watching and God bless
@@RonPratt Oh no, Ron used the "Q" word...lol.
a good afternoon from the Netherlands :)
Hello and good morning from US. Thank you for watching and God bless
Thanks for another video, Ron.
Thank you for watching and God bless
A John Anderson fan !! Makes me want to pull out my anthology cd and listen to Chicken Truck.
Glad you caught it!!! Hope you enjoy the Just a Swingin' track as well. I do.... Thanks for watching and God bless.
Woah the Sheriff reminds me of your Dad by looks!
Many people have said that they resembled each other. Thanks for watching and God bless.
When you see "I should" in the the over-video text, you know it's going to be an entertaining video. #nobodysperfect
I also admit I an urge to start pulling some shackles as he was starting on the straps. Sadly, I wasn't there ... and liability issues if I did help lol
Thanks, Ron for sharing some of your day with us.
God's many blessings to you!
Yep, I've been watching Ron's videos long enough that I felt the same urge. But hey, what he did worked so there's that. ;>)
Excellent job as always!!
I appreciate the support. Thank you for watching and God bless.

Get's on scene...doesn't call the sheriff but the sheriff shows up and just works with Ron, this is how you know you deal with top shelf folks in the area pure and simple.
He is a great guy and genuinely cares about his community. Thank you for watching and God bless
Great video Ron thanks for the video God bless you and your family I love you so much please post two times a week a video
Thank you and I would love to be able to do that, but there aren't enough hours in the day. Thank you for watching and God bless.
