This was a fun one to watch. I'm 51 and it makes me think back to how I learned to fish. A small wooden pole with a metal spike on the end and two wooden pegs on the sides that you wrapped the line around. Everything was brought up hand over hand. I miss those simple days!
I grew up in Clark SD. Never did any walleye fishing while I lived there as a kid, but did fish Northern Pike on Lake Thompson. I remember seeing trees in lakes often around there. I live a couple hours east of Clark now but will have to try to get over there sometime!
I fished the same spot from the boat early this summer. Only difference was the big eyes were not there that day. Good to see you and Jordan catch some pigs.
@@user-gk9rl4lw7c not very well. We actually tried and just couldn’t get fish to swim underneath our feet in three feet of water with ten inches of ice. The fish were really spooked by noise and light and I really think a tip up is the best way to catch these fish.

Same, haven't seen that done. Makes a lot of sense.
No such thing as a trophy 🏆 walleye.....it's either an Eater or not an Eater. (Minnesota taught me reality.)
