For those looking for a source, geranylgeraniol is found in highest concentration in seed oils. It is also found in carrots and tomatoes, which is not surprising since it is a precursor for carotenes and carotenoids. Of all the seeds, annatto seed contains about 1% GG.
Seed oils are largely demonized for bad health effects. Is that wrong because of GG?

Good info but you would need to eat an ounce of annatto seeds a day to get about 300 mg GG. Not easy and not cheap as well. Only twice cheaper than this guy's product.
I eat sunflower seeds and take flaxseed oil for GG.

great post, Bruce. Thank you for this. After decades of research we still must tiptoe around the NIH in order to publicly share natural remedies and supplements which can affect cures. My VA primary care physician asked recently to share a list of the daily supplements I take with his staff of nurses and interns. He himself cannot prescribe them but he realizes the absurdity of it.

Inhibition is not 100 % of mevalonate or cholesterol synthesis. So the GG is there and CoQ 10 is not low. The idea is to lower circulating cholesterol which is decreased by three mechanisms 1. Decrease cholesterol synthesis, 2. Increase entry into the liver of LDL by increasing LDL receptors (#1and2 with statins or Bempedoic acid) and decreasing reabsorption of cholesterol (Ezetimibe). The effect of water soluble statins is mostly on the liver through specific transporters.
Wow, sounds like I need this. Glad he didn't retire before studying this compound. I have not taken a statin but I didn't know how he could cause diabetes or muscular dysfunction.

Geranylgeraniol 25:49 (GG) is sold on Amazon. I am 72 and on a statin drug. A week after starting GG, my leg strength improved amazingly. Now I do not struggle to get up from a chair!
