- This is the new 2023 Hyundai Palisade, Hyundai’s new flagship SUV. Yes, you might have seen the new Hyundai SUV through the New York Auto Show, but today we are at Hyundai Palisade House located in S. Korea to show you the Korean Spec Hyundai Palisade. I am really excited to give you this update because I currently am driving the 2019 Hyundai Palisade, so I will be comparing this new 2022 Hyundai or the new 2023 Hyundai Palisade against the pre-facelift model. At the Palisade house, we had two Palisades, one Caligraphy, and one standard model. And I was very surprised by how different the two new Hyundai SUVs looked. So, let’s dive in and show you everything you need to know about the new 2023 Hyundai Palisade, the flagship SUV from Hyundai.

Flagship doesn’t care about that. It would compete too much with upper trim Santa Fe’s. I’m sure in time they will have some sort of hybrid palisade at a hefty premium.
Yeah may be we can expect that in up coming model if, that is not a face-lift too.
With the current market seems they dont bother about hybrid and are not able to keep up to the demand for current models in North America
Would not be suprised if they follow up with it. So far Hyundai has been struggling to meed i5/kona demand.
They won't it's still sells more than they can make. After vw atlas redesignand when the toyota grand highlander releases mid 2023 they will. And sales start to decline. That will be just in time when the first palisades and tellurides are off their leases.
Looks amazing. Toyota, Honda, Chevrolet and Volkswagen should take a note, they have the most boring designs in the car industry right now.
I prefer the boring vanilla design of Toyota 👍

Hyundai did exactly what was needed for a refresh even though they still could've soldiered on with the current design. Both this and the Telluride are still selling like hot cakes. I was leaning towards the Telluride before, but I think Hyundai did a better job on the refresh compared to the Telluride which lost the distinctive amber DRL signature. Thanks Charlie for sharing the lesser trims. I agree with you on the wheel style. I still prefer the mid range 20s 5-spoke design on the pre facelift (SEL in the US).

Just being assembled in montgomery alabama USA for tellurides is already a deal breaker for a korean brand cars.thats why once its built and assembled in USA that are branded in japan and korea,those cars will have lots of LEMONS due to usa employees works only for salary compare with koreans and japanese that have quality control and most have passion,obedience and discipline when they build and assembled their own brand car.

I like that blacked out grill, can't wait to see what it looks like on lighter colors. We are at the end of our lease with ours and that puts us right on time for the release of the refresh so can't wait.

I watched the video but I may have missed this. Does the 2023 have wireless Apple CarPlay? Does it have power folding mirrors like the current Telluride? And can you get the Caligraphy trim with the 8 seat configuration? Thinking of coming out of sports cars/sedans and moving into an SUV for the first time. Regarding the 2022 models I like the exterior of the Telluride but I like the interior of the Palisade. Since you spend the majority of your time on the inside I kinda lean toward the Palisade. My experience with the Hyundai dealer network has been more encouraging and I like the fact that they provide maintenance. The power folding mirrors might be a deal breaker though.

I really like the seat extenders. I thought the ones in the '22 Telluride are useless. I was seriously thinking about upgrading to the '23 Telluride with all the new tech but the '23 palisade takes it a step further. Hopefully you get to do a similar video with the Telluride and hopefully discover a few things we haven't seen yet.

The Calligraphy model is looking quite premium without the premium luxury pricing. If I was in the market for a SUV, the 2023 Palisade would be at the top of the list.

I decided to go with the new jeep grand Cherokee overland. I wanted a more reliable vehicle. Here in America, you don't see hyundai's and kia's lasting more than 5 years. Once they get their reliability up, they will be a worthy contender.

@@AsianPetrolhead Hopefully they will. Still in North American market Highlander is big player cuz they have a hybrid. I did my own research with customers, most of them like and prefer Palisade or Kia but when it comes to make a last decision they choose Toyota Highlander cuz they have hybrid model which is worthy with new gas prices in our region.
Interesting the regular model has left side cut out for quad exhaust but neither car has it

The biggest disappointment is that the 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine has only (200) horsepower.😡 Hopefully the turbocharger would be (bigger and more efficient) than before or the supercharger would be (electrified). 🤔

My plan is to trade-in my 2021 SEL trim to 2023 calligraphy but due to this market adjustment dealership mark-ups and other fees they put just to make the car more expensive now,i can't justify doing it anymore.i already paid $5k mark-up before and now for the 2023 calligraphy it will have $7k markup.i will probably just wait to a new redesign in 2025 then
