    The Palisade does a good job taking design cues from the Explorer (C pillar), Lexus GS460 (grill size), and Cadillac (front has an Art & Science theme). They even mimic Toyota staying with a proven engine. Yet they take chances with the headlight design and interior layout (instrument panel). It's a fresh design with 'borrowed' themes. Looks good.

    Very good review. I was hoping they had corrected the Wind noise issue which we have on our 2020 version (it' really bad) by now, but it doesn't sound like it. I am very happy with my 2020 except for the Wind issue. I keep mine in Sport mode, it seems to help with the turning and acceleration. Love the new front. When is the "New Platform" coming out?

  • @anrivera1975
    @anrivera1975 2 года назад +5

    Like the new front, they still need to bring some changes into:
    1. Calligraphy version in black (no chrome).
    2. Better wheel design.
    3. Eliminate Wind noise
    4. Folding mirror for USA market
    5. Automatic sun shades.
    6. Automatic 2nd row up and down.
    7. Better engine, hybrid or electric.
    8. Better area for wireless charging for multiple phones.
    9. Entertainment on the back.
    10. Better driving assistance.
    11. Automatic self parking.

    • @romanseano
      @romanseano Год назад +2

      I think you mean Power / auto folding mirrors (because they do fold), and power 2nd row (automatic would mean it somehow knows when they should go down)? It does have the SmartPark, and rear seat entertainment is available: they're called Tablets / iPads.

    I own and drive a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe Ultimate here in Canada. Recently did a test drive for a 2022 Palisade Calligraphy to see if it was worthy and let me tell you it drove and handled like a luxury vehicle and I was very impressed. The drive quality and the ability to absorb shocks and bumps on the road was amazing and it was very quiet in the cabin, so much more than my current Santa Fe.
    The V6 engine was anything far from sluggish and was very responsive and when I test drive a vehicle, I put it through the ringer to truly test it and it delivered.
    Now with that being said, the new face-lifted Palisade still shares the same body framing and drive terrain so I am not sure why the reviewer is negatively reviewing the vehicle itself in such manner. This is Hyundai's flagship model and they have put in everything into this to make it worthy.
    She seems to be nitpicking items for the sake of it by the looks of it and comparing it to a minivan? Seriously?
    There are a total of 22 new features that has been upgraded into the new model from the previous year. Maybe do some research and a review of that and highlight the positive attributes rather than the negatives.

    • @MotorgraphWorld
      @MotorgraphWorld  2 года назад

      You have to drive the latest Santa Fe(TM) to understand what she's saying. The Santa Fe on Hyundai's 3rd generation platform goes like a dream. Your 2019 Santa Fe is on the same platform of this Palisade.

    • @romanseano
      @romanseano Год назад +2

      @@MotorgraphWorldNot sure what you're saying here. 🤔 We had a 2019 Santa Fe, now have a 2021 Palisade... They are two entirely different platforms. The Palisade was developed from an all-new chassis, designed for it and the Telluride.

  • @beekah6574

    Love the info on the drive/ridability because I am considering this for my family between Carnival and 2024 Santa Fe. A bit disappointing that it’s not a smooth ride considering it’s more spacious. I noted that you said the SF drives more grounded without the shake like this has. So much to consider. 😅

    Thanks for your honest thorough review. What do you mean by a "new platform"? Will there be any changes to the 2024 model? A mechanic did a review of the the items under the hood and under the car and he said it lacks insulation under the car, so it will be verrryyy noisy. It's in line with what you observed. Thanks!

    Great review! If this had 18" wheels and higher side wall tires, it would not be so rough on the bumps. Too bad they are getting rid of more analog buttons. I with that Hyundai and Kia would give us more powerful engine option, especially powerful hybrid options with a larger motor, but still keeping a strong engine. That way it won't feel sluggish, and can also save fuel in eco mode. Almost forgot to mention that rearview cameras that replace mirrors are not good for drivers that need reading glasses, but can still see far without glasses - that just doesn't work, especially in the middle mirror.

    Great honest review. Don't like the new grill. What is this about the new platform? Sorry to hear about the continuing wind problem . Wish they would have kept previous heater/AC controls. Easier to use than the new digital controls needing more time with eyes away from road. Was considering it to replace my TC van. Not sure now.

    The Telluride checks many more boxes for me on the interior and especially exterior. I don’t like the current grill design or the former at all. Also, I have always found it very unattractive how the rear portion of the profile is separated from the rest of the vehicle with the chrome line.

I want to know because I have a confusion to choose from Hyundai Palisade V6, Volkswagen Atlas sel V6, and Honda Pilot Elite V6, please give me the right information because I want to choose a V6 car which will run perfectly 500k to 600k km without any big issues

    I've been driving a 2022 Palisade for a week and I must admit I'm very disappointed. Acceleration is very sluggish, transmission is jerky, the seating position is bad for tall drivers as it doesn't slide back very far. Also it's too large to make a U-turn on the street.

      A 1.6 Turbo Hybrid would not be sufficient for this vehicle class size. Nor would the 2.5L Turbo be a good fit either as you would lose the 5000 lb tow capacity. This is why Mazda loses a lot of customers on the CX-9 in a lot of geographical locations.
