Love seeing you guys work together. I've had a SX Prestige Telluride on order since January. Is there any word at all leaking out of Kia of when we can expect to see more 2023 details? I'm not interested in the "offroad" version and Kia has been completely quiet on every other trim. We know some of the things it's getting but we don't know what it will look like, will it have the massaging seat and heated 3rd row (my bet is no on both), will the Moss Green carry over with the new green coming out. I don't know what's benefiting Kia to keep so quiet...unless they are rethinking the DRLs. Haha. I can dream.
The redesigned front end of the Palisade 'almost' makes me want to switch my order...I think the refresh was more effective in that regard versus what Kia has shown.

We had a 2021 palisade limited and loved it but it was too much for a family of 3. Loved the space but hated the mpg so traded it in for a compact suv. A ton of high end features for sub $50k. I always hated the non wireless CarPlay though. We also had a 2022 Elantra sel with wireless CarPlay and I loved it. Now we’re back to wired CarPlay. The maps from Hyundai/Kia suck plus it doesn’t calculate the route based on traffic like Waze. That’s my biggest gripe but overall love Hyundai/Kia.

I've read from a few different sources, the reason why Hyundai group can't have wireless Carplay/AndroidAuto in their bigger screens, is due to a license agreement with TomTom (probably a non-competition clause?). The smaller screens don't have navigation, so they can have wireless projection in there... Hopefully they can sort it out in a future contract revision!

My buddy has a '22 Palisade. It has a smooth comfy ride and pretty much all the basics covered in a 3-row CUV. It is not a truck by any means, and off-roading is a joke as it sits just as low as the Sedona minivan its based on. However he got it for $34K and I think that is a fair price for what it is. However in no Universe are you getting a "GLS for $30K less". I went to unload something while it was idling and I could hear a faint rattle from the exhaust. A 2022 with 10K miles. I have a 2011 Jag XJ that was $87K a decade ago. That is about $120K today. Almost 12 years and 100K miles and NOTHING on it rattles; as you'd expect as it represents FOUR TIMES the level of resources a Palisade does. A GLS is built to a similar standard and it is impossible for a Palisade to be in any way its qualitative equivalent. It is a Hyundai product. Never forget that.

I hope its better than my 2022 Caligraphy. The auto drive fights you when you try to drive, glitchy radio...and at 1980 miles, the interior pieces rattle. Was my first new car, and really dissapointed.

There is absolutely NOTHING about a Palisade or GV80 that even remotely comes CLOSE to a GLS.
The Palisade, Telluride and GV80 at their best are Jeep Grand Cherokee beaters.
    Nothing more than that tho.

Dual sunroof so that junior could sleep peacefully and comfortably at the back without the sun in the face, while the lovebirds/ parents could enjoy a little sunlight for their road trip ✌😀 and of course soft music for the front roll only (quiet mode or whatever they call it disabling the rear speakers, genuine design imo👍👍)
Yes one giant roof could adjust the blind but too much fuss too distracting to do while driving. Also it's for vents and lights as said in video... also one giant roof might affect overall rigidity therefore might compromise safety or ride comfort/ too much flex in body etc yes they could make it just as sturdy with a giant opening on top vs two smaller ones but definitely 💵💵💵
Right now I think this is already the best bang for the buck, this or the Telluride 👍😀❤

Compare the Hyundai with a Highlander when they each have 100K miles on them. That’ll be fun.

I actually like the look of the Palisade more than the Telluride, but I think I'd probably go for the Kia since it has a more aggressive look. The Palisade would wind up making me feel like I have a station wagon at some point. Although, right now I'm in a Kona, so anything is an improvement. I'd also only go as premium for either car as whatever comes with a sunroof. Maybe leather seats.
