I love this song. My son went in the Air Force in June of 2016. He works on KC-10 planes. All of you that go in any armed service should be commended. I truly wish you the best. I miss my son, he is stationed 21 hours away from where I am. But all of our service men and women are indeed a special lot in so many ways. Already i will say Thank You for your service. Be safe.

Wow .. My father passed away .. Retired US Air Force Korean War Veteran .. and in the rain stood Airmen of The USAF and I was seated by myself . Unfurled the flag and displayed it to me . and with grace folded it , and one got down on his knee and presented it to me " On behalf of a grateful nation " .. I could barely raise my head . I was thinking .. These Soldiers that have elected to serve our nation. Honored my father and I felt honored as well .. Me so undeserving and on that long 1000 mile ride home after the conclusion of the ceremony .. My Flag sat beside me and I would look at it all throughout the drive . I am so grateful for all that have served and continue to serve . Thank you for preserving my freedom and the freedom of this nation .. ..

Found a way to illegally enlist at 17 in The US Navy WWII in the Pacific theater . My father served in The Forgotten War " Korea " . My two cousins volunteered . Signed up and became Marines in Vietnam .. Most of my family has served .. I didn't , and seeing the pride that beamed from all of them .Of not solely being made into Men .. but the pride of serving and willing to die for the freedom I have .. and that respect will and never leave my heart for any soldier . Losses in WW2:
USA - 470 000 men
USSR - over 28 000 000 men
You, gyus, havn`t a faintest idea about the meaning of "hell".

1) Over 16 mlns of that number was civilians, because hitler`s troops conducted on our territory nothing shorter then genocide;
2) Did you heard about such thing as "Blitzkrieg"? USSR was the only country able to stop german`s version. How long France lasted against it? 3 weeks. Of course - it was costly. Just to show you the effectivness of that tactics - there`s another numbers: Japanese Kwantung army in Manchuria - of almost 1,5 mlns soldiers - 200 000 dead, 600 000 - POW, USSR`s forces, that pulled blitzkrieg against them: of almost 1,5 mlns soldiers - almost 10 000 dead and wounded. Time of campain - less then 3 months. Territory, relieved of Japanese - larger, then Western Europe.;
3) Germany lost almost 8,5 mlns of soldiers. Their comanders also "threw conscripts at enemy lines despite being outgunned"? Loss ratio: 1(Germany) to 1,3(USSR). Only 30% more - not that bad, especially - if we`ll look at results of France or Japan (see above).
