Came here from Dan Suzuki :) Best Video about how to set up the graphics. Thank you for your work sir! Helped me aaaalooooot finding my perfect settings. Greetings from Cologne, Germany 🖤❤💛
I can't quite remember where I saw it but you can edit the renderer.ini and set NumDynamicCubemaps manually without having the huge FPS penalty. Like setting it to 10 won't affect the FPS that much while still giving the awesome shadow depth. If you change it in-game, this will set the value to 100 in the ini. That's why there's such a big performance penalty.
Dude this is huge...I wish someone would have done this before! Its super useful Any thoughts on doing the comparison with some of the other settings like heat haze? Thanks again for the Info...gonna turn off dynamic objects
Hi, totally new to iRacing. You were of huge help, I didn't understand why my 12900K and RX 7900 XTX performed so badly. Some RUclipsrs state you should lower, what you show here, totally pointless settings (like Two Pass Trees) but leave out huge impact ones. Still the game seems super CPU bottlenecked, getting 90 fps with most on high and GPU load at 55 % (at start in back of full grid). Thanks again, this must've taken a massive amount of your time.
Thanks man. I’m trying to dial my settings in as I just upgraded from a 60hz 28” to a 34” 100hz ultra wide. I fixed the stutters but still have some FPS drops on complex tracks. Pretty sure it’s something most people deal with so as long as it isn’t affecting me I’m going to leave it alone.
Cool video. I guess the dynamic cube maps basically mean the whole scene is rendered 6 times to produce realistic reflections. I wonder if there might be any config options to change how often they are updated. It was not that unusual to do that back when I was working in game dev. I imagine it isn't so bad with a single monitor, but tripple screens or VR, I can see how it might tank your PC. I only just got a 1 year sub from the Steam sale yesterday ($30). I heard bad things about the IR compared to RF2 and AC but I actually really like the handling and feedback is decent too.
Latest model of computer parts. The computer won't care if you set the most setting even at the highest setting. But thank you you have done a work that is not available for iRacing.
mega video, thanks Tyson. Gained 20 FPS from the recommended iRacing settings. Funny thing though, I got more FPS by turning mirrors on over off. Though that a bit strange, but hey. Thanks again
This is awesome. I’ll personally stay with class 1/max because I got the performance and I only drive on a single screen but if you’re shooting for 240fps and more on a high resolution screen I can totally see how this would be even more helpful
Great work but, I notice big dips in FPS from track to track. It's hard to see it in 720 on RUclips showing track shots. A better quality video upload would show a better visual effect from comparisons shots. Still good info thanks for all the hard work.
Duuuuude! by odin, if it doesn't bother you.... when you have time in your schedule... could you make a video of this "UPDATED" (if really necessary), thank you!
Hi, you can tell me how I should put the max GPU and the max system memory, I have 1 intel i7 10700k, 1 MSI trio 2080 TI, 16 GB of 4000 mhz ram, thank you very much. Aldo
I have a weird sort of issue, I get really good FPS with the G9 between 120 lowest to 240 plus but and I’m starting to think it’s just an iRacing thing is the track in the distance or when you’re in a turn the image in certain parts looks like it’s dropping to like 30fps. Even with the readout at say stuck on 240 FPS. The cockpit is not affected, just in the distance a bit, I’ve changed the directX11 app ini file for track update rate from 2 to 3 which has helped. But it’s still there just not as much. If anyone else has experienced this and solved it, please comment. Thanks
Hey! super nice video! very usefull got a question - do you CAP frames 1-2 fps below your monitor HZ and do you use V sync in NVCP ? i got a 3090 and i feel the stutters are a problem ... :/ cant find a super balance.
@@Quirkitized Thx, butalways fullscreen, also adjusted lots in nvcp, i must say though im very picky, so i think peopel trying my rig wouldnt notice but i do :P
@@NesterowiczRacing I had a similar feeling on my computer, until I upgraded to my AMD 5600x, I gained huge FPS, and everything is so smooth now, I'm super happy (running a EVGA FTW3 3070, no overclocks, MSI b550 Tomahawk, 4x8GB Corsair 3200 ram)
best graphics setting video ever on iracing still valid on 2022 july...
how this video has just 1406 views, this deserve one million

Thanks I’ve been searching for this info and got back 40 fps by turning off mirrors and dynamic shadows
thx subscribed
Nice... Now to find a 6800xt or a 3080 somewhere... :(

Vsync might show grayed out but all games played in Windowed mode in Windows 10 will have vsync forced on.

I cap my fps at 240. I dont use vsync or gsync/freesync. Stutters can be annoying, hard to isolate. Do you play windowed? Try full screen.
