The only reason the Egon/Janine relationship was never allowed to go anywhere? *Harold Ramis* hated the idea (he evidently only ever meant for it to be a gag and the actual chemistry between the two and the resulting shipping was completely by accident), and since the actors had creative control over their characters, it was vetoed. This is why it was totally dropped in Ghostbusters II for a Janine/Louis relationship.
One of the few mistakes Ramis made as a writer. Someone should have made him watch the Real Ghostbusters cartoon series, and he might have realised how wrong he was. Janine falling for an emotionless guy like Egon is so much funnier than her liking a nerd like Louis. Louis is too similar to Janine in personality.
@@Rocket1377 I think he did. No Ghostbusters project could be done without Ramis, Anyord, Reitman, and Murray's approval, so he at keast had to be aware of it.

I really hope Rick Moranis is back for GB Afterlife (maybe after some reshoots...?). If not, it would be a shame and he would be sorely missed. He's hilarious in both movies.
Rick Moranis was the best for ghostbusters 1 2 . When my mom got me dvd of ghostbusters I felt so in love with it . The actors and actresses were so awesome. I hope Rick comes back if he doesn’t that’s ok .
I saw the trailer for the new Ghostbusters and it seems that Janine ended up with Egon after all. Since unfortunately Egon is no longer here I think it would be so sweet if her and Louis reconnected after so many years. They have a history and he's always been part of the Ghostbusters team.
1:40 I just noticed after years of watching this movie that Dana puts a piece of gum in her mouth. You can almost tell from subsequent shots of her talking to Louis that Sigourney basically had no choice but to do it to stop her from breaking character and ruining the scene. LOL!
LOVING that you guys are keeping the channel alive and well. If possible, with more original content on the brand. We all are so anxious waiting for the new movie haha
I can understand why some wanted Janine and Egon to get together, which could have worked, but I don't mind so much if it didn't and it was just sort of a gag. Plus Louis kind of deserved to get a girl anyway. xD
I know Annie Potts was in Ghostbusters 1 and 2. It seemed like Jannie was a different person in Ghostbusters 2 to me. I preferred the original Jannie looks in the original first film over the second film.
The cartoon series explains this. She made a deal with a demon to make herself more desirable to Egon, and her appearance and personality was supernaturally altered as a result.
Wow, from speeding up his daily exercise and defending our supernatural situation busters in court, reminiscing about our honorary Ghostbustin' problem solver. Stay safe everyone!
I don’t know if anyone noticed this, especially if you only know about this franchise, Power Rangers, particularly PR in space. Janine’s red hair looks so similar to Astronema’s short red hair. Both of which looks good, but Astronema’s red hair to me only works with her full leather catsuit. 🤔🙂👍
