The stakes of this situation being SO TENSE and the AI voice, as flat as possible saying "I'm sorry. The patient is dead 🙂" made me laugh 😂 At the same time, I like it. I think it was a good decision to portray an emotionless machine there.

Do the cool Star Wars lasers while you're at it, that was nice" Microsoft Doctor Sam: "Ma'am, seriously, i need you to--" Aurora : "And spray his chest. Just a spritz, like a light basting. I want them high beams on when he wakes up"
It makes perfect sense. Everyone on the ship, every passenger, every crewmember, is expected to be in good shape. The cryopods have never failed. They have a ship's doctor who, though in cryosleep himself, when he wakes up can handle the vast majority of cases. There's no reason to think they would need more than one. In fact, even one is probably unnecessary.
I don't understand the anger at Jim. I saw the movie. He told her to get inside the pod and he would make sure nothing happened. Aurora realized she would never see him alive again and refused. She did fall in love with him and wanted to spend the rest of her life with him, even if they were the only ones awake on the ship.

The worst performance and best performance in solution both didn't exceed a month before severe mental distress. This movie underplayed it. What they should have done was swap into it like 6 months at a time. one sleeps for 6 months, spend a month together, other sleeps for 6 months. They could have made it easily.

This movie set up a stage for a romantic relationship. However there are so many holes in the settings like treating space travelling like empty highway. 5000 people on board, and there is no contingency plan. No backup sleeping pots and ONLY one emergency pot. Come on

the twist is they had all the parts on ship to make 50 more of them.. just only one was active. If they just wouldve checked the ships inventory.. along with a book on how to assemble. They both couldve made homestead. but alas.. neither were smart enough to look.

He managed to heck Aurora's pod as well, with the tools/book available. I think once they discovered the autopod, and had the access from Morpheus, he was looking for possibilies too on the entire ship. He fixed the ship as well, so the guy was capable.

And when this one foreign director lost ,he was interviewed by backstage journalist about his loss and he said , What is it with you Americans all you want in a movie is Plot,plot , plot ,but no art. Meaning to the rest of us that his film had no story, just a bunch of strung together chance meetings, more like a bunch of commericals put together .

I saw this whole movie and I thought that this is perhaps the WEAKEST and must unconvincing performances I've ever seen by Jennifer Lawrence & Chris Pratt. They were not well suited and lacked chemistry with each other. Although they tried doing their parts and did an okay job of it, the said performances were severely lacking in emotional content and perhaps most importantly, it severely lacked and was not believable at all.
I respect that this is your opinion. My opinion however is the diametric opposite of yours. I would rate performance and chemistry right up there with CASABLANCA. On what grounds do you give your opinion ? Please provide a good example of good chemistry and strong performances.

Other than that, I dont think its meant to be some overly emotional drama. Its a sci fi movie, an easy watch not requiring much brainpower to process. They wanted to keep it light. Im not sure what actors could have played these roles and done a better job. She is absolutely stunning. His performance was outstanding as well. I think it was the script that created the awkward scenes and not so much the actors themselves. They were very limited with their options.
The plot point of her waking him up was BAD BAD and I think they could have come up with another reason to get her up without it being so sinister feeling. The potential for a really good movie is there otherwise.
