Watch me aquascape this tank which was previously invested by algae... This time round, I used EPIC filtered water (details below), peace lily plant which used to be a potted household plant and super simple setup that is easy to clean and maintain. The lily plant helps so much with keeping the water clean and clear. What do you guys think? Comment below!!

Will the plant rot? Because i see a lot of people recommend to put the root only....

About how much did it cost for everything? The tanks look great!
Thank you, cost was 0 for me as I had everything already, just a matter of reusing what I had. Brand new would be around £50 incl tank, plants and filter. Lighting will cost the most. This lighting is around £80
Try putting male and female Dumbo Bettas in a 100 Gallon Planted tank with lots and lots of plants, Nature Aquarium type/ Biotope with Red Tiger Lotus Lily Pads on the water surface. 12 Female and 4 Male.
You'll be surprised with the results.

I was wondering if bettas can be put inside this tank without cycling?
Hey the water needs to be cycled beforehand for 2 weeks, or you can add API quick start or other brands that help make the cycling process faster.

No unfortunately over time most of them rotted
How long aquarium should get cycle?? .. I dint know abt this I left a betta into my new aquarium ... Its not having food n not moving sitting under the filtrer
Hello, for a new tank, usually around 2 weeks of cycling. He must be in shock of the water parameter. You can add a API quick start liquid to help it cycle faster with good bacteria

@@emmmuck I haven’t tried Peace Lily myself, but I have grown similar plants like Spongium and Pothos in aquariums. looking into what actually causes root rot, I think a lot of people misunderstand that it’s not necessarily just the presence of a bunch of water that causes it. Root rot as I understand it is caused by various fungal infection that occurs in low oxygen conditions in soil. Key operating word: soil.
Basically, when you read something that says overwatering is the cause of root rot, it’s not just that the water itself is rotting your roots, it’s the combo of water with all the organic muck in soil just sitting there that creates all the anaerobic bacteria, molds/fungi, and/or excessive ammonia that cause root rot.
With that said, pretty much none of the terrestrial plants I have had partially submerged in vases or in aquariums have had their roots rot. I’m gonna guess because gas exchange ensures there is oxygen in the water, and there just isn’t the same stagnant mess of organic muck sitting around in my tanks and such.
