@@blbubble can you tell me if the love sea boxset has the special episode on it and what is the exclusive scene I prefer DVDs but I alo prefer having the complete set why is the last episode missing from the boxset?
You are making progress in adjusting your own behavior. That is extremely hard to do. So be proud of yourself and keep working towards the goals you set. You've already achieved change; so, you've proven you can reach the desired outcomes... There is no reason to worry about not liking any particular author even if they are 'popular' or 'everyone' is talking about how awesome they are. I feel like starting with MXTX is a bit of a thing because it does set high expectations. And, other danmei authors have very different quirks and skill sets. So, I DEFINITELY support your decision to buy only 1 book in a series going forward. Read the one volume, and then invest in the next one or two if you find yourself really satisfied with your read through. You are trying to budget and stabilize your incomes; so, it really is a wise change to implement.
Stars of chaos and guardian are two of my favorites and my first danmei! Crazy you didn't like them. They are kind of slow but when the romance happens it's so good
It also throws me off a bit when priest starts the stories off with characters who aren’t the MC. I actually got confused by that 😭 but I’ll continue stars of chaos and see if I’ll like it anyway! My type of danmei is more like Erha. I haven’t finished reading that one either, but I like stuff that just jumps to the point at the beginning and hooks you to the MC before it drags when going over any political or past events because I’m already familiar with the MC. Priest’s writing is different than the other danmei series I’ve read I guess
I enjoyed priest's writing, but I hated how the writer keeps you hanging and you'd think they'd satisfy you by the end but they actually just keeps you super frustrated by the end. tfw the genre is romance but sometimes there isn't even any result after all the slow-burn you're fed, made me stop reading their works.
I hope i can get as strong as you are . I admire you're strength i try to control my spending but always end up buying something.

@ I kind of like the non mc intro since we focus on the main couple so much we don't really see someone else's perspective
