I think the simplicity of the first one also has to do with the art styles, because the comic is hella detailed and the donghua (I don’t think I spelled that right forgive me y’all) is much more plain and one dimensional.
The transitions were so smooth ｡ﾟ(ﾟ´Д｀ﾟ)ﾟ｡ I love that his sword is pretty much a dagger/letter opener for us 😂
