Should I skip dairy?

- - Not if it has been part of your cultural and regional food system
- It is an important source of nutrients and diet diversity
- In developing countries like ours, cattle are an integral part of the farm and family.
- Industrial milk and dairy should be avoided, support small farmers and cooperatives
- If you are intolerant or don't like milk and milk products, its ok to not have them
- but don't shift to "alternatives" like almond/ soy milk
Part 3 of the "Should I skip..." series.
#dietmyths #dairy
The problem is not the milk itself but the way oxytocin injections are plunged into the cattle, I've witnessed myself; an even worse scene that i can't ever forget is the calves' legs being bound with ropes so that tho' they are present before their mothers i. e. the cows so the milk flow is induced, the calves' themselves cannot access it. I wonder the mother's emotional state on being unable to feed its calf for which its milk is made by Nature in the body. Don't those emotions affect the hormones seeping into the milk? And don't we as a more evolved specie have alternatives to the various nutrients present in milk?
Rightly said !
I agree with you
agree! I like Rujuta's perspectives but this video doesn't highlight lactose intolerance and like you said, the hormones being injected into cows these days as everything is now commercialized.. during the earlier days , milk was purer and hence good.. the purity of everything, let alone milk is highly questionable in today's world.. I do , however agree, that if milk /milk products suit one , then they could continue using the.. however, allergies to milk are very real
Aa gaye emotions ke ch#^#*de to give lectures but ek abhi bhikari raaste mein mil jaaye toh usko ghar le jaakar khaana nahee khila sakte waha emotions gayab ho jaate hai.
Completely agree… cows are not treated the way they were being treated earlier…they are tortured to such an extent that we cannot even imagine.Deadly dairy documentary is an eye opener in this.
Satvik movement and Spiritual health doctors recommend not to have cow milk, just coconut milk and products, why don’t you all experts come together ( have a session) and give us clear idea on this.
Very true. Spiritual health doctor like me also promote avoidance of milk. But as far as A2 milk is concerned, it is from Desi cow having hump on back... It is good in limited quantity.
Thank you.
Dr. Jitesh
Why you want to create scene??
To be vegan dey insist
She is asking to drink milk from cow that we purchase from a known person and not industrial milk. They are against industrial milk. If you are from a city you may not know but in villages and towns we know the cow and the family most of the time
The thing is they say to avoid because cows are tortured or injected with some medicines to produce more milk...but if you know the milk you are having is free from all the above you are free to drink milk...for reference see the ingredient list back of your milk packet...it only has milk solids induced vitamins
Very informative video Rujuta Ji. I'm happy to see someone who actually believes in our cultural and traditional food ❤
I truly respect you mam.. you bring lot to the table which is absolutely genuine...and related with core actually.
Thanks for this wisdom, So much sense in everything you said, the brand fads are all percolated by the industry who intends to make fortunes ..
What about..... Should I skip nonveg food. A valid question. All for whom who ask should I live a non cruel life
Thank you so much mam for this valuable information because I am getting confused about this milk thing from last 5 to 6 years because of the Internet now I really get the solution after watching your video and I really feel very calm thank you.
The Indian dairy industry kills over 1 lakh cows/buffaloes every single day and you are okay with that?
Your guidance cured me of pcod without medicine. I had just one teaspoon ghee everyday during my periods and it regularised on its own
Thanks for mentioning this comment. My periods regulated with dry coriander powder drink and ashwaganda too but after a while I stopped and my periods became irregular too
Pls reply how to cure PCOD without medicine and diet
You have not addressed the biggest concern here.Milk today is adulterated. Even local dairy shops cannot be trusted. What can be done for that...most people stay away from milk considering the additions of adulterated substances either added to milk or injected to cows and buffaloes. What is the solution to handle that??
You need to understand. That wasn't the topic of the video. You made a really good point my saying that, I totally agree but she was talking about farmers, like fresh milk and its products not sold in markets. You are right by saying many of them cannot be trusted. But the farmers who sell the fresh milk can. And that she said it shouldn't be avoided and it has been a part of our culture for centuries. In the case of solving, these business have power. So I think its better if we sought out fresh and unprocessed milk. So it's better than having stupid almond and soy milk, bc these are the milk that shouldn't be trusted not something that has been part of our culture.
Unfortunately she talked ONLY about "Expensive" Almond milk and surprisingly never spoke about the most healthy Coconut Milk.. i regularly make my own coconut milk (which takes hardly 10-15 mins and is completely adulteration free) .. i know for a fact that Milk and especially Ghee sold in mkts are highly adulterated.. agreed Gau Shala products could be pure but again "Expensive" as called by the madam
yes actually
Exactly
@@kushalshah1477well said ...she's propogating milk ...she's living in the ancient past 😂
But but but I have seen tremendous health benefits after skipping milk in my diet. My husband's gut issue got resolved as well. The argument presented here sounds good as it promotes support for local dairy market but mind you India's local milk is all full of chemicals now and doing more harm than any good.
Another myth burst.... thanks. Should I skip tea pe bhi ek session rakhna specifically with all the alternatives please
You are simply awesome ..mam...thanks for being there for all of us ...
What you speak in your videos is really very true... and practical. .. thanks for your informative video and your presentation in bindas style.. I like it. Warm regards from Assam 🙏🙏🙏
Maam i really respect ur opinion.. and kind of agree with ur point of view in terms of yes Locally waste product of cows r used and small scale farming could be ethical.. however if we look around the reality is changing fast… i see more and abundoned cows and buffalo in cities so dont know how u can justify that in terms of ethics..
Too good and much needed information. Thank you so much
The cows nowadays are not A2 means with hump on neck.
We middle class consume A1 milk which we get from hybrid cows...
This is dangerous for 70-80% population as A1 milk is produced by injecting estrogen and other hormones which directly comes our way through milk.
That is the reason of lot of hormonal imbalances these days if we directly consume milk.
Milk derivatives like dahi, ghee are good but direct milk is big NO ( only for A1 type).
Thank you,
Dr. Jitesh
@ Dr. Jitesh Are milk derivatives like dahi, ghee made from A1 milk okay to use? Thanks
@@ahussaini4048 Thank you for asking the question. Derivatives are made by fermentation, so it doesn't have much toxic effect as fermented bacterias are most likely same in A1 and A2.
You can refer my channel video for more info about my work and I'll be posting the video on this topic soon 🙏🏻
Thank you ☺️🙏🏻
@@jiteshrane8791 thanks for your reply! Can I have your channel name please. Thanks
Hello, what about these tetra pack milks available in the market?
And so are the hybrid fruits and vegetables grown with the help of chemical fertilisers and pesticides. What can be more harmful than the tablets we are popping for nutrients’ deficiency or treating our lifestyle induced illnesses. People can support small scale farmers instead of saying no to dairy.
Indeed candid explanation... thanks a lot
Thank you for your good suggestion.
Wonderful thank you ...I always continued having dairy, carbs, sugar everything with all the trends coming passing
You are such a eye opener ma'am love you❤❤❤❤
Thanks.. Very informative.
Commercial dairies , even in India don't have all milk products made from free grazing and antibiotic free animals, also the milk we get is highly processed , it's no longer just pasteurised...is it really good to drink such milk and consume such milk products...
Beautifully explained.just loved it.
But the main question is...do we really get pure milk n milk products?.... everything is so fake n harmful for health.
😁😁😁really mine also same question..
Small scale farmers actually give pure milk instead of marketed ones.
@vegan nimmi verma exactly
You dont need milk. Youre not a baby cow my friend.
As long as you don't buy the tetra packs of milk that don't spoil for months, you are safe. Other dairy products like butter, ghee, curd and paneer can be made at home if you are concerned about quality
Love your talking, 🤩 thank you for sharing this information
Fantastic 🤗 Thankyou 👌🤗🙏🏽
Thank you for this very reassuring talk.
I love watching Rujutha ji's very informative videos. But I also ignore some of her advice on food and food products. Specially this particular video on 'Milk'.
Ma'am you are the only one who is providing the right information and guidance to right kind of diet and healthy lifestyle and based on Bharatiya culture 😊🙏🙏
Very good video.
Your talk on sustainable is very good.
But now people like milk with labels like 'no human touch'.
Now a days I met many people who are saying they don't know how to do curding .
Thank u so much for the lovely well explained. All in details I have just fallen in love with your explaination. Drs just have too less time. And i am totally confused with my life with my diet now i am strictly without too nuch oil nd spice in my dish it mke me sixk i have ibs for the past 10 years qnd childrwn r too ged up of me running to diff dr. Very good pointam u have discussed a ayurvedic Dr. Once TLD me d same thing only human drink other animals drink n TLD me to stop any milk stating its not at all required even for my babies
Mam you are always convincing to me , to others i don't know .The way you speak is really impressive 👏
learnt so much from your videos madam. thanks a lot.
Thaanks for the information mam . The only thing we need in discussion is about use of hormonal injection (oxytocin) to increase the milk production will have inpact on our health like hirsutism , menstrual irregularities etc ?
Rutuja Mam,You are absolutely great Indian dietitian, we all Maharashtrians Proud Of You,Love You.
I live in kolkata. In my place we don't get local dairy milk. We only get industrial milk.. What to do mam.. Please advice
Should we eat frequently as you previously suggested?
Thanks a lot mam 🙏🏻
Eye opener. I have been in guilt for drinking tea. Was trying hard to leave.
Superb excellent, veryyy informative, thanks a lot sister
Consuming dairy and meat is not the issue, it's the adulteration.. Govt takes no to minimal steps to stop adulteration
I have drop out the milk and it’s really help to control autoimmune diseases and thyroid problem.. I am having curd , ghee instead of milk
Very lovely messge mam so true we were on the wrong side almost getting diverted so sweet of u god b with u
Thanks a lot mam ☺️
Thanks for suggesting dairy 🥛 & dairy products as it’s the integral part of Indian diet & for People like me who do not like others milk like soy & almond .
@richa garg Please understand the inherent cruelty in dairy. Men hold her with ropes or in a rap* stand and insert their hand in her rectum to stabilise her cervix and then insert bull semen into her vagina to make her pregnant. This is done just two months after she has delivered a baby. If this were done to a woman, what would you call it?
Thank you so much for sharing the valuable information. I'm allergic to 'Milk protein' (not lactose) so I have been advised to avoid all the dairy products including cosmetics having milk content. I would be deeply grateful if you can share some insights or produce a short video on this someday for people like me
Please strictly avoid milk as milk protein can't be seperated for you.
This allergens basically came from the A1 milk which we get from hybrid cows. A2 cow are desi with hump on back.
Please visit my channel for more info(will soon make video).
Thank you.
Dr. Jitesh
Ravi ji - you are completely normal, the animal milk is not meant for us anyways it's for the baby calf anyways. It's natures gift that you are sensitive (lactose intolerant) to animal milk.
@@jiteshrane8791 A2 milk is again an utter nonsense. The only milk which is appropriate for humans is it's from it's own breed. Will you drink tea if it's made using human milk?
@@KL-td8dj I'm not lactose intolerant, I'm allergic to MILK PROTEIN. Most people (including me) considers both as same but actually they are different. I understood this at later stage so I can't even take lactose free milk, otherwise it was much easier. Only way for me is to go for vegan.
Vegan May live longer . Make cashew milk at home . Cow milk has growth hormone to grow like cow
But Quality of milk is questionable in today's scenario...because milk is no more supplied the way it used to earlier.... the cows are also injected with antibiotics & hormones to increase the milk production to meet ever rising demands of masses
How about the hormonal injections that are being given to the cattle for good milk production? Doesnt it harm us after having it?
What u r saying is reality of past. Today milk production is a business. People get milk by injecting chemicals to their cows and buffaloes.
Beautifully explained
Mam all your videos are very informative
These days we get so many other types of dairy milk like A2 ,organic and all..what are those? Please can you help me understand that
Rujuta, you’re so grounded. That’s what I love about you. कोई हवा में बड़ी बड़ी बातें नहीं । शुद्ध सरल भाषा जो हर आम आदमी को समझ आ जाये 💕💖🌈🌈💖💕 And yes food and pharma lobbies exist to make बकरा out of gullible people….
और social media ने तो पागल ही बना दिया है! हर कोई हर टॉपिक पर coach बना हुआ है! How to run your business, how to get slim, how to exercise, how to gain confidence, how to speak in public, what not to eat, why this and that food is bad for you… the list is infinite. And utmost annoying to anyone who can think for themselves
Thank you mam 👍🏻😌
Very nicely explained
Thank you Rujutha.. I always follow all ur posts and videos.. my daughter is 8 year old and she is having a bad hairfall.. I was wondering if her diet could be the reason.. can you pls suggest something for her??
Same hair issues with my 10 year girl
Grt mdm your approach is what our inner mind says 🙏🏼
Mam you are just awesome! I feel so proud of how you hold up our culture and heritage! You always give us perspective on how to make health and food related decisions a it is very easy to get swept with the "so called trends". You always remind us to eat what our dadis and nanis ate as per season, local availability and culture. Thanks for this video as well! ❤♥Also.. your take on animals not wearing clothes, using insta had me LOL!
🤣
I eat ghee everyday. It has changed ny life. My siblings dont and they have pain in their knees and back. We eat yogurt made at home and it has helped my stomach.
Amul, mother dairy and Patanjali - are they not industrialized milk ? ....I always get so much digestive issues after drinking milk in any form.
It’s not about the milk, the problem is with the packaged milk. Problem is for those people who can’t tolerate lactose that cause bloating.
I agree that milk has been a tradition in India however I too want to argue on the quality and adulteration in milk
Thank you mam
I want to know if we can loose weight without exercise as I am unable to move because of some accidents and so how can I loose my weight by diet
THANK U SO MUCH FOR THIS 🙏
coconut milk is not more costly than dairy milk.
Which milk today in market, will you suggest to people
Hi ma'am..what about people with some specific medical conditions like autoimmune disorders? Will diary increases inflammations in their body?..I am so confused now as my doctor and dietician strictly told to stop diary completely to reduce inflammation...
Thank you 🤗 i like your way of talking
U have good great knowledge diii
We consume animal milk in the name of religion, metal conditioning, to satisfy our taste buds, etc ... without knowing the suffering of another mother and baby go through.
Hi. Could you please give tips on how to get nutrition if you are lactose intolerant.

Thank u for the lovely session. However, I do have a question. Doesn't restricting dairy affect hirsutism?? Would u clarify??
Do we get pure milk
We get contaminated milk
I am very confused as to what are we suppose to do
Do watch what the health and Physicians committee podcasts to get latest research Info can be misleading See the obesity n diabetis in India Seriously we need to reconsider what we eat
Hi Maam . Can you please guide if someone is diagnosed with MS or psoriasiatic arthritis what diet one should take.
Our grand parents and parents are way more healthy than us (youngsters),bcz they don't read calories before eating and they eat everything but not junk and outside food...moral-live and eat like them and enjoy life

What about seafood along with dairy.. can we take curd on the days we eat fish? Pls throw light on this. Thank you
Cows milk or buffalo milk which is the preffered one ?
Mam you have indeed moved way ahead and above in conceptualizing good health and fitness. Instead of superficial knowledge you give us valuable insights to understand health in a positive perspective. When a successful learned lady like you sees sustainability in that village scene of cow and school boy, the world is flooded with adds like..' packet doodh safe sabse, khule doodh ko band kar abse '...I am definitely not against Amul...but the comparison is misleading.
Thanks ma'am for being such a beautiful soul 💗
You should not just be against Amul but all the dairy farms infact the mere idea of stealing milk from a calf.
WATCH DEADLY DAIRY ON YT.
Do v get pure milk
All contaminated with antibiotics
I am going to start my diet as per your instutions from tomorrow
Most people buy packet milk which is a type of industrialized milk because pasteurization improves the shelf life of milk and reduces its contamination. Processing milk industrially to also reduces (toned milk) or removes fat (skim milk) more effectively than can be done manually at home by simply removing the top layer of malai.
I have come to understand that a lot of food related advice depends on who you ask. So many people swear that they lost weight and reduced sugar levels by completely staying off dairy, rice and sugar. Ditto for high protein diets especially for vegetarians and vegans. we are told to have so much sprouts and beans to reach the 50-60g of protein rather than dals that one gets gas.
Another annoyance is the divided view on which food goes with hypothyroidism. For e.g, Flax seeds were considered a health food till the news got around that it is not good for those with thyroid issues. Ditto for pairing X food with Y. The conflicting views of different nutritionists is one of the major reasons why people find it tough to make right food choices for their specific condition. As a result weight loss, particularly for those suffering from weight gain due to slow metabolism and hormonal imbalance continues to be a frustrating challenge.
