Thank you Dan for another great video. I always look forward to your latest release. Seeing the expression on Caroline’s face when they arrived really showed the love your family shares. So awesome!
Your journey of rebuilding an old cabin is nothing short of inspiring. The dedication, craftsmanship, and love you pour into restoring this piece of history are evident in every detail. Watching you breathe new life into the old walls is a testament to your passion and resilience. It's truly heartwarming to witness such a meaningful project. And I am Floating Village Life.
Hi Dan, I'm so jealous...beautiful island, fresh air etc. Would love to see hikes with Lando around the island? Another dog to keep Lando company when everyone is away for a long period of time? 🙂
You really have a lot work cut out for you especially since you’re doing all by yourself But it’s going to be amazing!! It be great if you spend the fall and the winter that be very interesting to watch. I personally love watching winter camping on RUclips Great video like always looking forward see all of your future projects until then stay safe stay strong and god bless you my friend 🙏❤️✌🏼
The antlers look they were meant to be there. Another idea you could add into a vlog would be about the wildlife. The ducks, loons, birds, and animals you might see daily. Daily life with all the chores and thing that have to be kept up is a good idea. Glad to see Caroline and Matt. Dan is a good cook, dinner looks yummy. Thanks for the vlog.
we love your content and look for your videos every Sunday. I hope you will take this tiny bit of observation as a helpful tip and not a criticism. We adore you! So here it is - you say and um uh. and. umm, uhhh. so much that we have actually tried counting but we lost count at about 30. In broadcasting its called a "verbal tic". Only telling you this to help you become aware, in case you might want to stop doing it. Of course, if you don't that's your choice and I will watch you regardless! God bless ♥PS really beautiful drone footage in todays videos, I loved the fading sunset and the wave at the end.
Cool vlogue 😊. Be very careful while lifting the logs don't damage your back entire life is waiting for you one thing I want to ask you as you and your family are moving in many places in lonely areas have you ever countered any ghost or spirit while travelling if will you like to share it. Till then hav a wonderful 👍 time and you sister is coming convey my good wishes to her and her fiance for their happy 😊 days ahead. God bless you all. Love to sweet Lando ❤.
Awesome! I'm looking forward to seeing the cabin finished. And how you get your cabin ready for a winter on the island. I can't think of anything else right now. I did see someone mentioned wildlife content. That would be great, especially during the changing seasons.
Great video Dan! I am about to start debarking some logs to repair a trellis on my property (logs are for the columns), so I was watching your method intently!
Dan, A couple of things you may want to consider before you get to deep is a couple of good (to GREAT) saw horses. The ones you have look a little worse for wear!! A good solid saw horse will make the job safer (with a sharp draw knife) as well. There are tons of ways to make them and I’m sure our friend Mr. Google or Mr. RUclips will be only happy to show you how. Just a thought. Nice job so far!!
Happy birthday to Caroline & its beautiful gift you all gave her. Please make video of your daily routine in cabin your and Pete Jr living alone at cabin the wild life birds ducks fish grocery shopping and add your washroom kitchen cum living room and your workshop on the island .Add more raised beds for your mother with those logs and plant flowers which are mosquitoes repellent & it will look beautiful make out door covered sitting area which can be used in rain or shine
Hi Dan, Loved the intro to vlog. My memories of our cabin always had older items like the old coffee pot & the old yellow stove. Just classic! I hope you follow through on trying to stay the winter at the cabin even if it is a bit uncomfortable. I would love to see the wintery scenery and I think the winter challenges would enhance your already great vlog. Also, what’s with the delay in fixing the generator? Is it just accessibility? Have a great week. Dave
Split some of the ones you are going to burn and make a couple of benches to sit on in front of the cabin.
That's a great idea 💡

Dan, I agree we are having a very strange summer. I suppose you have to mind the energy because of a lack of sun.
Thanks
Thank you as a wonderful video

Thanks I’m glad you enjoyed it! The draw knives help out a lot with the whole process!
Awesome!
When you burn create biochar for the gardens!
Great idea will do!

Very interested in seeing what it takes to live off grid. Especially on an island.
Your parents need to finish putting the door on that little cabin they redone.

✌️👌
Don't carry logs, drag!
I need to rig up some sort of log cart to help with that.
@@danvanstralen put some roller logs under a pull slowly!

What lake you on?? We’re on Panache. You close to us??
Yeah we are pretty close to you guys, I’ve snowmobiled to Panache a few times during the winter.
👋💪🫶👍😘
Any fishing lately!
I haven’t fished recently but I’m definitely planning on doing more soon!
Yikes.
