This is what it's all about - having fun with friends! Sometimes, I would much rather watch the Japanese streeto videos than the high class, high budget American films, with cars worth probably more than what everyone was driving in this video. FUN. It's what drifting was made to be. Stock looking S-bodies, Laurels and chasers. Who cares how you drive it, or what you put on it, as long as you're having fun, who cares?
tokyo drift is movie bullshit.... this is as real as it gets... the thing is, few of this drifters hasnt been drifting for a long time...so they are not going that fast
@171rider Nissan Laurels, Toyota Chasers, JZX90s, JZX100s and JZX110s. Look for them on Google images, most of those big four door cars in the video were these.
He meant the Skyline GTR's which are usually seen in drifting. They can drift because the owners choose to change the differential or make it so more torque and acceleration goes to the rear wheels, hence, it can drift.
@supershard555 you might wanna do a lil research befor you just hop on a plane and go, the japanese embassy only allows U.S citzens to stay in japan on a tourist visa which is 90 days and if you over stay your visit it could get pretty ugly they'll most likely send you on a plane out asap or worst case they could send you to jail or banned from the country for 5 years..theres many visas you can get to extend your stay or even live there you just gotta look into it..
V etom video pochti vse voditeli nachenausheji... nu vseravno interesno smotret... horoshoje mesto...V eto mesto tolko priewajut trenerovatsya... a vse superskije driftery v drugih mestah gonyajut:)))
Drifting takes so much balls + you have to be willing to crash your car soooo yeah. RESPECT TO ALL MY DRIFTERS. Its a shame that that earthquake had to happin.
mid engined cars are terrible for drifting! mid engines are too hard to recover. front engined cars have a more progressive and more predictable skid. mid engine will got out easy, but with all that weight so far back, its very difficult to bring it back in. I reckon S chassis nissans are probs the most popular.
@Stronachh The white Laurel was a girl haha... I had a video with r34 gtr and silvia... they were going hard... but my computer got messed up...so i dont have it any more... Look out for new videos tho
@AtzengamerMemphis cant get them new only second hand as they make the jx160+ , not quite shore on the new one, and they will mostly guarented to have some sort of mods
@AtzengamerMemphis No man im from russia. But i lived in japan for a while. yeah men drifting is crazy over there, I know that you kan easy get a s14 in germany. I havent heard that there any big laws against tuned cars tho... Get a car from england, i think its easy to import from england, cuse they are already eu registered, check that out, plus its close its not gonna take long tim
I'm mexican and i live in denver, colorado, does anyone know how much a plane ticket to japan would cost? and if they would like the fact that I'm mexican and I'm over there kuz I'v heard they dont like gajins.. I would really like to check out the drift scene out there myself
@supershard555 Im russian but i grew up with a lotta black people, does it count? the tickets are like 1000-1500 from miami. what part of florida are u from?
@XxSNPKiiNGZz 240s are called silvias in japland and 240s are only 240s in the usa, the reason? the crappiest engine nissan put in a silvia is what the americans get. everyone else gets a 2l or 1.8l turbo / non turbo see sr20/ca18
the Nissian gtr series toyota supra honda NSX r the drifting kings of those companies, i think the honda NSX would be the best for drifting, more center of gravity, dont to mention its powerful mid-engine layout.
Actually the NSX's are younger than the Supra's. You wouldn't really drift with them because their engine are at the rear of the car and they're too expensive to be denting and scratching. If it WAS old, it wouldn't really make a difference tbh. A Twin Cam Corolla 1984-86 can drift without any problems.
lol, what's with all the "Japanese hate gajin's"? You guys need to stop watching movies lol, why would they hate you just because your different? lmao, do you people believe everything that happens in movies?
@poofthe No, They invented it... Drifting in the dirt isn't drifting it's rallying this Hudson fucker may have gotten a car sideways in the dirt but keiichi tsuchiya got a AE86 sideways on a mountain pass in 80's then people in America caught in the early 2000's and to top it off Japan makes better cars then America could ever dream of making. Nissan is rapidly encroaching on the big 3 car sellers in the states JPN owns. period.
LOL Nissian dafuq ahhaha. No one really uses NSX's for drifting coz they're old now. Supra yes but more commonly used in drifting are these cars, Nissan S- Chassis, Toyota JZX Chassis, Mazda RX7 & 8.
