I heard a Dota 2 commentator say it best back when Dota had a league structure like CoD-when a team plays anything that doesn’t mimic the structure of the end result (major/minor championship), the product suffers because the matches don’t matter any more than qualifying to a qualifier of another qualifier to an actual tournament.
If it wasn’t for the watch parties I’d only tune in during majors
I do only tune in for majors pretty much, watch parties are boring because idc about the opinions of half the people on them

I only recently got into comp cod the past 2 or so years so I don't have the old experiences to compare but I enjoy watching the online qualifiers. Scump Watch Party makes it fun.
I’m an optic fan but honestly if it wasn’t for Zoomaa and the watch party crew over there it would be boring to watch. I find scumps stream so low energy as well as I don’t like the fact they don’t really call out optic when we make dumb mistakes. They always just say “that’s unfortunate” or “unlucky”. I feel like the flank crew calls everyone out equally even faze who they are a part of. Even octane who is a part of LA Theives was blasting the roster on the flank stream yesterday. The stream feels very authentic and more like the old days. I think scumps watch party is too professional and kinda like a broadcast not a watch party. I encourage you to come over to zoomma’s watch party next weekend. Vibes are immaculate

@@Broodjemetbeleg yeah man, me and a ton of optic fans feel that way. 85% of zoomaas chat is optic fans we just prefer his watch party. It’s nothing against them. I’m sure people over there are having a great time I just don’t enjoy the watch party personally

No, they need to ditch these stupid fucking qualifier matches and add more tournaments. This 5 weeks of bullshit could be wrapped up into a quick group stage at each major
imagine if faze just started streaming their matches like its a 2k back in the day. honestly they might as well they will still shit on everyone
They just need to make tbe matches matter more. Everyone makes it. There needs to be a cutoff. Regular season games across all over sports hold significantly less weight as playoffs as well, BUT they have a cutoff. Giving the matches a little more meaning. Wether thats going back to the old ways, or adding teams and limiting tournament entries, they simply just need to give more value to these matches. I enjoy them weekly, but they truly dont mean anything.

i stopped watching online games, only pay attention to the top match ups...
CDL is wasting players talents and time, doesn't give them anything to look forward too.

CDL makes it boring 2016-2019 CWL/MLG was great and more randomness. 5-6 Open events , 2 seasons with 2 regular LAN playoffs plus champs
The cdl has been boring for a long time now. The last game I watched it full time kind of was vanguard haha
These matches are for qualifying for champs not just seatings for majors. So every match does count in a way well at least for the bottom teams.

It’s not dead if the people saying it’s dead are playing it and constantly spreading how dead it is making more people want to try or play again
COD is dead. The player charts have been consistently dropping since covid calmed down. They spike up every year after Activision force pukes a game out their money hungry gullets. But still, the core values of what made cod great are GONE. SBMM and a lack of a competent anti cheat have diluted cod into nothing more than a weapon levelling simulator. Spawn, run, die. Maybe get a decent 10-15 kill streak but thats it. There is no feeling of reward or progression. I was a hardcore cod player since cod fricking 3 and the shit thats been getting put out the last couple of years just reinforces the reasons why i stopped playing. Anyways, stop buying it stop playing it there is literally no point. You’ll grind and spend your money just for them to release a new game and completely forget about the previous ones. If you ever hear someone say “cod is the best” or “there isnt a better fps then cod” then that person has a very narrow view and has probably never dabbled in anything other then spawn,run, die. CS2, R6, Apex, Tarkov, The Finals. All better fps games with an actual sense of reason and progression. #BoycottCOD

This whole video is a faded ass take. The franchising system has 0 reason for the failure of the league. It's a non competitive league. That doesn't take advantage of the true money they could be making.
Bring back tournaments year round. These matches r pointless. Bring back tourneys and bring back open bracket so random teams have a chance to play with the pros
saying these matches are pointless just isn't true. They are boring though, LAN matches/tourneys are much more entertaining to watch
