Excellent video showing the multiple dimensions behind prosecution, as well as opinions from both sides. I didn’t feel like the video pushed either agenda, and at the end of it the only conclusion I came to was that the system is messy and imperfect, like all human systems. Thank you for creating high quality non-partisan content.
I spent ten years in prison for defending myself and my property because of a prosecutor. The prosecutor lied to the jury by changing witness testimony and evidence presented at trial just to win.
This is a well done video that exposes how the court system really runs without pushing a biased agenda. There is a huge need for reform. This video articulated how the prison system was able to evolve into the modern day slave trade!
herosfootsteps123 Prisoners are slaves and they should be, the Amendment XIII “ Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction. Section 2. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.”
"One of the biggest challenges in malicious prosecution cases based on the filing of criminal charges is prosecutor immunity...... There are, however, limits to this immunity. If the person bringing a malicious prosecution suit can show that the prosecutor acted outside his authority in the process of instigating or pursuing a criminal case, the immunity will not extend to those actions in most jurisdictions. If the businessman can prove, for example, that the prosecutor paid a witness to testify to certain things or created false documents, the prosecutor probably would not have immunity, because those actions would be outside the scope of the prosecutor’s job.
I didn't even know you guys had a channel until October when you tube's algorithm put the Morrison V Olson video in my queue. I have now watched like 10 of your videos and they are all great. To whoever at the Fedsoc that puts these together: you deserve a big fat raise.
This was really good. I think the point one of the last guys makes is something we should not only apply to debating the power of prosecutors, but also our politics in general. There once was a time where we could disagree with others, but assume in the end they wanted the best for America. We believed they were dead wrong, but we didn't question their patriotism or love of this country. Now that's no longer the case. Even if I think some of these professors and former prosecutors are wrong, I'm sure they'd have a decent or thoughtful explanation as to why they believe what they believe, regardless of whether it comes from statistical or anecdotal evidence.
If people can’t get justice in court then they’ll get justice out of court. Prosecutors and their wives and children would do well to remember that. I’d have NO problem dispensing justice if a situation demanded it.
The prosecutor failed to prosecute the perpetrators responsible for illegally assaulting me. I have no confidence to believe that the prosecutor has an interest in seeking justice for the victims of crime.
So essentially a prosecutor can use logical fallacies and methods of warfare that the military uses and be immune from civil action? And on top of it getting public funding from the public who is essentially their employer? Wow!
I think the proper remedy for this is for the judiciary to put their foot down when prosecutors step out of line. Judges have a lot of power too, sometimes direct power over attorney's in ways that can do a lot but many Judges fear the prosecutor.....I never understood why some people viewed being Attorney General as better than being a District or Circuit Judge but I am starting to understand it.
nateo200 I have learned the chess game that both lawyers and judges engage in and it has links to the philosophy of masonry. Judges and lawyers are the chess masters and the public is the pawn. The Bar Association is a brotherhood and basically a guild. The public has been dumbed down so much that they can be brought in not knowing much. The government is a corporate entity and only has administrative jurisdiction. First the lawyer and judge need to be shown that they are unethical and also biased and prejudice when it comes to the rules of the court as well as the standards of conduct created by the Bar Association. Both the judge and lawyer must be disbarred and once that occurs, torts can be filled for damages as they no longer have immunity from the public. It’s not just the prosecutor but also the judge and the unethical behaviour as logic and ethics are related. The public is taken to the wrong courts when it comes to administrative offenses as the police only have administrative jurisdiction. What you could say is that war crimes are being done to the public without any lawyer or judge doing the right thing.
I can show you hard facts! That is starts with the prosecutors and ends with a plea deal! & prison profitability is also a huge and unrecognized priority in AZ. Victims rights however is just a process to try and keep victims quite and compliant to whatever the prosecutors want to do!
If 95-98% of judicial misconduct complaints (against judges) are dismissed, the only ones not dismissed are filed by other judges & lawyers, what are the true rates of prosecutorial misconduct complaints by citizens that aren't dismissed?
Wow! This is so enlightening! Prosecutors can also walk all over victims too! Victims Tights are the myth! It is intended to keep victims quite and compliant with what the prosecutors want to do! Including disregarding a young 21 year old girls life! I can show proof
Let me tell you the story of Indian Joe ,who was my dad's friend who was accused of killing his girlfriend. Indian Joe retained a lawyer and fought the conviction. When Joe's money ran out so did his lawyer. Not being able to retain another lawyer Joe was convicted of murder and was giving the death penalty. My dad always talked about Indian Joe who when the money ran out was really never served justice because back then your voice was never heard. To this day I want a new trial for Indian Joe, so justice will be served. Now it possible Joe could have been guilty or maybe not.The world will never know as Joe stood in the court room all alone against a system that was not set up yet to help the little guy. As today we are better equipped to help the little guy.
Slightly better at helping the little guy as things are more complicated than then when it really shouldn’t be. The same logic and processes are there but have many more cogs in the processes.
Umm! This is not what they do! Pinal County Stare of Arizona. They have the power to not prosecute! 2 Cartel members involved in my nieces murder were not prosecuted for my 21 year old nieces murder, despite the fact one of them, who had been arrested for the murder of a 23 year old 4 months earlier, led them to the body! That’s not Justice!!! Not for my family! Luis Hernandez sits in prison for life, who is a serial killer for the Cartel and they have concrete proof of 3 murders that includes shooting an 18 year old in the head 9 years earlier! But murder is so expensive to litigate is what we were told!
LOL. Jessie K. Liu telling us about prosecutorial misconduct? Liu's picture is next to that term in the dictionary. I cannot believe Lie hasn't been disbarred yet. He has applied the law unequally depending on political party or whoever has connections. It is revolting. If not for being immune to being sued Liu would be under the jail. Everything Liu has done in the legal field are examples of why he gets moved around so much. This is the type of federal employee that gets shuffled around until they retire or hopefully they leave. Jessie, have you ever just considered shaving and becoming a male prostitute? Wherever that is legal of course.
Disappointed that there was no mention of the case regarding Rod Class and his challenge in the US Supreme Court regarding plea agreements where he won. This could be seen as sophistry being used. I have a hard time thinking that someone intelligent enough to produce this video would neglect and leave out vital information like that especially a ruling from the Supreme Court.
I can tell you that is not true! 1-2-2015 all prosecutors fired for unethical practices in Pinal County in Florence AZ and we had just entered our nightmare of my Susan Ronquillo my niece who was 21 years old. Pinal County was able to keep this hidden for a tremendous amount of time, not a bleep from the news or anything else. It created a lot of the mess in my nieces murder and eventually over 20 other cases. Probably mail County had an all or nothing access computer! So Sealed Records we’re viewed by prosecutors because at the end of the day! They were on their honor not to click that file! As if there was any honor in that wild county at all

yeah i agree
I spent ten years in prison for defending myself and my property because of a prosecutor. The prosecutor lied to the jury by changing witness testimony and evidence presented at trial just to win.
A very important topic! Robert H. Jackson's thought's always immediately come to mind when I think of the power of a prosecutor.
This is a well done video that exposes how the court system really runs without pushing a biased agenda. There is a huge need for reform. This video articulated how the prison system was able to evolve into the modern day slave trade!

No immunity if they violate rights
Thank you for a neutral presentation!
@@scotthardy6485 Could you please elaborate on your thoughts?
I'm sure if you're a defendant in one of the 60 yearly documented cases of prosecutorial misconduct, it doesn't feel quite so infinitesimal.
The prosecutor failed to prosecute the perpetrators responsible for illegally assaulting me. I have no confidence to believe that the prosecutor has an interest in seeking justice for the victims of crime.
Great video opened my eyes to how and why, only one solution....

Great 👍 vídeo useful information
Curious if the Prosecutors are also protected when violating victims rights?
Let’s talk about Seeking Justice4all
I can show you hard facts!

How do you get justice against one who lies to superior court in Pennsylvania?
