We need a company to buy the rights for TS2 from EA and publish it as is, just with support for modern computers and systems

Additionally you need the 4GB patch to make it run on 64bit computers you can download Sims2RPC and it’ll patch it for you automatically can watch tutorials on RUclips.

Different team members at the time and their manager wasn't the overlords but instead the creator himself he worked on his own game...sadly he got too old so we are left with.....piles of shit
will wright was the original creator of the sims and sim city. he cared you can tell. he left at some point during sims 3 i believe which is why that was still good. he had no control over sims 4 which gives EA the right to ruin it lmao. he is making his own game now so that’s something to look forward to!!

@@UnapologeticYen This is one of the weirdest things people say. Will Wright had little if anything to do with TS2, he was pretty done with the game after his baby TS1. EA/Maxis was responsible for TS2, not Wright. Those companies have just changed for the worse over the years (remember when ppl thought Maxis working on the sims again would save the franchise in late TS3/TS4?)
You guys probably already knew this so it might come off as repetitive, but just in case, the person who gives you the computer with the Sims 3 game in this pack (Mr. Humble) is the same guy who is in charge right now with Life By You.

I think this is one of these packs like generations for sims3, where it seems like it doesn't add much on its own but when you actually play as you would with your households it expands and adds a lot to the base game experience

as a dancer i have ALWAYS wanted to put ballet in my sims 4 games :( i want my little kids to go to ballet class, maybe even just rabbithole, and to practice at home with a sims 2 esque ballet bar. or put a dance studio inside of gym lots, i tend to make yoga studios because theres no real dance in the sims

Yeah, they'd have to make it My First Ballet Stuff and make it a stuff pack, since they break everything into tiny, bite-sized, glitchy packs now.
oh in the sims 3 you could sign your kids up for activities, either scouts or ballet, and at the end of the cycle (like 8 school days) they would have a recital or a badge ceremony and it was adorable. if you were a ballerina you got gilt ballet shoes on a plaque to hang up with the kids name.

The ultimate collection is well worth it! Though I got the UC for free back when I was playing TS3 and I had to return Island Living bc it was so broken, so they gave me the Ultimate Collection as an apology!
Look for The Sims 2 Starter pack online. It's The Ultimate Collection with some of the fixes you need pre-installed. It's the best way to get the game now
I was so happy when I saw that you uploaded this new video, I absolutely love your sims 2 and sims 3 let's plays and I keep re-watching them over and over again! It always brings me so much joy. In regards to what you said at the end of the video - it would be sooo cool to see you play the pets pack on your channel! The one for the sims 2 and 3 as well, because they're both so iconic!!
Sims 2 seems like it had the best packs out of all the Sims games. I remember enjoying Seasons and Pets immensely with TS2, then having fun with them in TS3. But in Sims 4 it's like "all right well we have seasons and pets ... cool..." Honestly, though, I don't think I would delete Sims 4 and keep Sims 2 if I had to choose. The mods and custom content in Sims 4 are just so impressive and intricately done that having just the mods and the base Sims 4 game is enough for me. EA could never 😆
FT is one of my favourite Sims 2 packs! I really feel like having a hobby both gives way more fun gameplay options, and helps flesh out their personalities even better.
Oh boy I used to try and grind for badges all the time in Sims 2 as with the craft stations like the ones from Open for Business or the Sewing Machine and Pottery it'd give you access to more things you could make (for instance, pottery- no badge (plates) bronze (vases, tea sets) silver (pitchers, pots) gold (Amphora)). Pre sure you gain access to different things with fishing and gardening and sales too with those badges and then getting better cashier and restocking badges would mean you get better at those things and faster. So just to say: getting badges aren't just for show- there's legit game mechanics there too
Yes badges do have a great impact on gameplay. With fishing, you can use better lures to catch better fish, and with gardening, you can plant more variety, as well as better quality crops. Both gardening and fishing will give you hobby enthusiasm for Nature. Plus, the Nature hobby lot is the best lot to meet and make new friends, while fishing together❣
This is good to know! I just picked the game back up and was wondering what the badges were for! Man, this game was so deep and immersive.

After watching his TS2 stuff, I filled my TS2 with mods to make it look and function a bit better and started playing it again! It's well worth it...especially when you spend the time to add in CC that makes it all more high-rez. It's still not as graphically impressive as modern games, but it's less crunchy! There's a lot of videos on YT about what mods to get to make the game better and look better, too, I've found!

Started playing sims 2 because 3 started crashing. It's so much fun playing it as it's fulfilling creating a business empire with OFB.
P.S I made sure to make a small H&M outlet as it's hilarious to add Real World stuff intermingled inbetween the sims stuff 😂

The reason why the skills bubble was going faster and had little leaves going around it is because that's a feature from Seasons, eat season has a different bonus: Fall is boosted skill gain, summer boosted friendship gain, winter boosted family relationship gain,spring boosted romantic relationship gain.
You know, I've been playing TS2 and wondered about those things, myself!

The Sims 2 is superior.
Can't believe The Sims 2 is 20 years old this year. The pre-2010s was such a magnificent era for gaming as a whole and it's so depressing how games today just completely lack the passion and the detail that were put into these older titles all for the sake of trying to 'look' as next-gen as they possibly can or to turn a quick easy profit without focusing on the things that actually matter.
People return to games like The Sims 2 because of the sheer amount of detail put into every single mechanic of the game, how deep the friendship/relationship system is and above all, how unpredictable your playthrough can turn out. The Sims 4 is just a 'safe' easy cash cow which is a glaring reflection of what the gaming industry as a whole has become.
I forgot about this pack's specifics until watching you play, but a hobbies pack is what I've been wanting forever. We get hobbies somewhat in Sims 4, but not with any focused aspirations and rewards linked to them or special lots. That would be amazing.

The firfliess cathing is from season pack. I never played this pack but it seem hobbies add a bit of gamapley without taking to much time of other stuff we have to do with other packs. Its sound like a bonus thing just for fun.
The money didn't glitch, that's what it's supposed to do. It drops 4 money bags: 10,000; 7,000; 2-3000; and 1,000. You have to basically not control your sim for a few hours so they can drop because if they have an action queued up, it will skip the money and then it won't drop!
Also the peace of mind one didn't glitch either, it made all of her needs maxed and I believe static for a while.
One time I found a sack of money hiding behind a shrub in my Sim's garden, it must have been there for weeks in their in-game life because I didn't remember the last time they'd gotten a genie! XD

After watching so much of your TS2 stuff, I've reinstalled it, filled it with CC to make it look more modern, and lots of mods to fix bugs and make a few things better, and I've been losing sleep I'm playing it so much! There's so much to DO! And I can't just click on the bar to make the sim like...go to the toilet, themselves. So many things to do with them in a day, and lots to keep up with!
I loved this pack in the Sims2. You could have so much fun with friends at parties, and I loved the car. I used to have the parents and teens work on it together. Great video, Satch, and you're right this is what is missing in Sims4.

I personally enjoyed the Sims 3 futuristic pack. I really liked making the robots and upgrading them to do my house hold upkeep. I would love to see you play and give it some love. ✌️🙂
Yes, Into the Future does not get enough love...I also love the Plumbots, because they are futurist versions of Sims 1&2 Servos. I love fantasy and scifi, ItF scratches both those itches❣
I wanted the sims 4 to add sewing, I think it would be cool to make clothes, curtains, I think the hobbies could be expanded, I wish I could customize furniture by reupholstering… probably never happening I like the building of cars and the ballet
SO happy to see you playing my fave game again, your videos of all the older games are what made me enjoy your channel so much and they always remind me of things to do in my own gameplay that I've missed since Sims 4 came out.

A childhood friend of mine has it too, I can confirm, it takes up a whole big room in his parent's basement. 🤣
My Step Dad, who passed away a few years ago, was into model trains, he did the landscaping and everything. It was fun to do it with him. I was saying I wish they would do model trains and model cars in Sims 4. Free Time was a great pack, something for everyone. Pottery, dance, all this seems natural for a life simulation. Contests, clubs, ect, all really good for story telling, game play for all life stages.
Aspiration failure results in either the social bunny or the therapist 😂😂😂. Max motives are a good cheat to use to fill all needs.
Freetime is top tier. It's in my top 3. It offers more to do and enhances other EPs so well.
I remembered when you were just the RUclipsr who complained about the sims a lot and always had weird looking sims but now you're one of my all time favourite RUclipsrs 😂 love ya madness Satch

If I remember correctly if you become a witch an get up to a certain skill level with the free time pack you also get that secret free lot. I think because I remember going to a lot for it. I loved sims 2. I don't understand how😮 sim 2 was so far ahead of its time that it puts sims 4 to shame. lol as you say satch the sims 4 could never. With all this new tech you would think they could give some much more effort and make the game worth wild n worth the money. If mods didn't exist I think the game would have fell off long ago... Lol. Satch, when she wished for beauty, what happened was all the guys in the neighborhood were attracted to her. That's why you see all these Sims start to walk by. They want her!! Such a fun pack!
wishing for beauty makes sims of the sim's preferred gender walk around your lot more often and gives your sim double chemistry/attraction (the little lightning bolt icons) with everyone which makes it really easy to build relationships.
I like the woodworking bench and the flower arrangement bench in TS4 but i’ve had so many moms do the flower arranging and fathers do the woodworking that i’ve gotten bored with it. I wish there was more like toy making or pottery, etc. like there was in TS2

i had the sims 2 + freetime "limited collection," it was virtually unplayable on the pc i had at the time. the simulation lag was awful, and i could never open build/buy mode or the game would crash. it was easier play the sims 2 ps2 console on an emulator than the actual pc game.
Well these days computers are so much more advanced, you can play the ultimate collection with a ton of mods with no issues at all!

Hi anyone know where i can dowload sims 2 for windows 11 ?
I got mine given to me back when I returned the Island Living pack for TS3 when it came out and was super broken. They apologized by giving me the Sims 2 ultimate collection...but just google Sims 2 Ultimate Collection? You need a few mods to make it look good on a modern computer monitor that's 1920x1080, but that's not hard to find with googling as well. But TS2 Ultimate Collection works fine on Win11! You just need mods to make it fit your monitor (and some to make it look better, if you want that, lol).

I just bought a couple more packs for my sims 2 game but my pc keeps crashing every time I try to Install them :‘) Does anyone have any tips on how to fix this? I can’t find a solution :/
If you're using an intel processor 12th or 13th generation or windows 11 you might need to install some specific files but I can't explain that much in a comment so if that's your issue there are tutorials online 😊

What? No likes and dislikes are far from hobbies. My sim can like techno music so he'll listen to it.....that has nothing to do with his wishes. Like even though he likes techno there's no whim to want to learn how to play or produce techno music. It's just that he likes techno, end of story and the end of gameplay. Likes and dislikes in the Sims 4 is not the same thing as having a hobby

I think some other activities are closer to hobbies though, if they like piano they'll want to play it too
