  • My Ocarina of Time 100% No Source requirement Speedrun from AGDQ 2020. Bonus glitch exhibition at the end (2:53:10)
    The 100% No Source Requirement category means that I have to get all the items, but I can use any glitches available to get the items without having to get the real item from the normal "source." This means the run makes use of many big glitches to get items in unintended ways.
    I'm really happy with how this run turned out, just a few mistakes and most of the important stuff went well, commentary was great, and the glitch exhibition was great. Hope you all enjoyed this.

      @Ultimate Supreme Leader I am completely in the camp of people who dislike the repetitive donations that often have cringe-worthy comments, believe me, but they can't just stop reading them altogether. Many people donate just because they're hoping for it to be read aloud on stream -- there would be a massive decrease in the amount of donations if they totally stopped, so they can't do it.

    • @WestonEvans
      @WestonEvans 4 года назад +33

      Well they’re definitely laundering money. The more obvious donations have comments turned off. It’s a bit of priming the pot as well to get the casual viewer bitties.
      Half the triple digi donos don’t even make sense. At the 1000 mark it’s shell companies cycling in. And then all the no name double digits that no one even looks at twice... it’s a pretty sweet racket from what I can tell. Not even a matter of what or why it’s a matter of whom.

      The constant repeating of a joke when people had a single positive reaction is totally an ASD thing to do, and considering the awkward kind of person being in the crowd most of the time (no judging, I am very close to that as well), it becomes a giant echo chamber of social pressure getting you to play along and people thinking they are extremely funny for repeating the same shit over and over again.

    My favorite thing about OoT speedrunners is they've basically mastered writing and executing arbitrary code in the game itself.
    Job interview: "What programming languages do you know?"
    OoT Speedrunner: "C++, C#, Java, Python, and Ocarina of Time"

    • @TheNetflixGamer
      @TheNetflixGamer 2 года назад

      @@sheriffaboubakar9720 Raid: Shadow Legends is a fantasy-themed, turn-based role-playing gacha game.[3] The game's story takes place in the fictional realm of Teleria, which has been subjugated by the Dark Lord Siroth. Players take the role of an ancient Telerian warrior resurrected to defeat the Dark Lord and restore peace and harmony to the territory. Players must assemble an army for battles in settings such as castles, dungeons, deserts and temples defended by enemies and possible allies.[3] Throughout the game, players accumulate Shards, vessels containing the souls of past warriors. Shards come in four types with different properties. The game has two forms of currency: Silver, which is relatively easy to come by, and Gems, which are a lot more difficult to acquire. There is also a cost in Energy for running any of the campaign and dungeon stages. Without Energy you can't progress in the campaign, it runs out quickly, and after the first day players will have to be very careful not to waste it.

    What really blows my mind is that he made this route for entertainment value.
    Like with all the lag from duping heart pieces and skulltillias? Normally you'd just reset, but he routed around it, just to have to broken textures.
    He spent time and effort on this route, instead of making the best and quickest route, just to make us laugh.
    Thank you ZFG.

    Child me who felt so happy every time he got another super valuable bottle would have his mind absolutely blown at the bottle duping and bottle adventure shenanigans lol. Heck, adult me is mind blown too! Also having watched the newer NSR routes (not to mention ACE) as well as the normal hundo routes with SR but that still use SRM to get items early for the sake of speed while getting items from their original source, I *really* appreciate just how awesome this custom route for this run is. Kinda an exhibition itself, showing what they had recently discovered in yet another pivotal moment in OoT speedrunning history, while also maximizing entertainment value by showing off the coolest stuff from the previous route that he had originally planned to do when submitting to GDQ.
