They were pushing Alternative music (amongst other musical forms) on the public, which were corporately controlled and there were people that hated it. so when he says "Fuck the alternative music, this is for real man!" it's political. Metal (except for hair metal) was always musicians getting together to make music that they wrote and played, not what the record companies manufactured and insisted that you listen to that instead

Yep. Me and some friends went to this show. October 26th 96’. Drove over 400 miles for this show. The whole day was amazing. Ozzy, Biohazard, Fear Factory, Slayer and Sepultura all in one night. Plus a bunch more. I’ll never forget it.
