62 yr old fan. Been watching MLB since the 70s. He is the most complete and best baseball player i have ever seen. So happy I've had a chance to witness him in my life time.
Bonds was better.
@@GreekboyyD first of all. All you can argue is he was a better hitter which everyone can't really talk about fairly since he doped. Secondly this comment said MOST COMPLETE which bonds was not especially when this dude is an ace pitcher smh. Go comment on some barry bonds videos :/
@@GreekboyyDjuice head Bonds
Bonds did not pitch
@@tonyswe9463 No doubt but still ripped it up.
The sound of his bat when he hits a homerun is something else
But he doesn't have Come-from-behind home runs or walk-off Home Runs. Most of his homeruns are not for the team and just for his records.
@@aboutme7810lol bro this is baseball not basketball one player can hit a home run but it’s about the bullpen and what they can produce as well.
I think also the baseball was damaged? Because I saw something floating like a little piece of it was ripped off when he hit it or something.
..truly
its cause its corked its so obvious (xd)
He’s been proving me wrong. He’s a really good baseball player. I always had some skepticism about his long term success but he keeps smashing. And 2 MVP awards. I’m rooting for you Ohtani!
Just really good?
Greatest baseball player I've ever seen
U never watched Bonds?

@@BigDaddy52525 maybe everyone know who's more than 40 year old people right?
no one saw him younger than 40 year old. He remained just records.
@@charlesallan-ks6gq This should get some bites.
I've seen better.
I know everyone says it, but my god the sound of the ball coming off the bat. Perfection
The number of views of Ohtani's home runs is in a different league. In the end, everyone wants to see his home runs.
Already MVP
Sandy Koufax is my hero for long times. I am very happy Shohei hit home run in front of him.
Best ever,goat, King
Wow, the sound of Ohtani's bat hitting that ball was incredibly loud. Not many hitter's who can connect like that!
@@ago7212 No, maybe hundreds, maybe thousands.
His swing is so beautiful I swear
Poetry even his poses after he hits them just so perfect 🥲

The sound of when he smacks the ball is just different, Sho is just a different breed.
Sushi 🍱
Very few had that sound. Bo Jackson is one of them.
The sound when Shohei hit the homerun just unique and stunning.
Yeah. It's the sound of wood hitting a baseball.
@@bostoncityofchampions6581are you that lame
According to a Shohei’s ex-teammate in NPB, his current bat is among the hardest in professional players with relatively a smaller sweet spot for putting the maximum power onto the ball, and not many players would use it because it’s too stiff, difficilt and painful when impacted. It’s really the sword for the hero.
But he doesn't have Come-from-behind home runs or walk-off Home Runs. Most of his homeruns are not for the team and just for his records.
@@kingkyrie5140 - No. It's literally the sound of wood hitting a baseball. It's not rocket science. Ohtani's home runs sound just like everyone else's home runs. Except maybe in college.
People are forgetting that this man is a pitcher who worked on his batting skills later. Just flawless
People are forgetting this man is pitcher with two UCL a third would definitely end pitching and each procedure weakens that right elbow. Dodgers need to be smart.
35号ホームランおめでとう!

7月3日に大谷逆転2ランホームランを放っている。彼がいなければドジャースが地区首位であったかどうかも怪しい。もしかして彼がアジア人だから実力を正しく評価できないのかい?
He doesn't necessarily have to be the MVP. We all love the way he plays. We're all fascinated by him. But he's definitely the MVP front-runner!
Sincerely asking. Why? R his statistics that good the season? I heard designated bats don't get MVP.
@@BigChibi-y2kHis stats are very good yes. He's tied for first in the NL in WAR, and that's with a huge penalty being applied to his defensive WAR because he doesn't take the field. His OPS (on base plus slugging, an overall stat for hitting) leads the NL by far, and is tied for second in MLB with Soto, trailing only Judge.
Judge and Ohtani are basically guarantees for MVP at this point barring injuries.
For National League, not just his offensive stats but his total WAR is league-leading. Plus, even if he's rehabbing his arm as a pitcher, no one can forget he's as good as anyone on the mound, too, so honestly that's just part of the equation imo
There is nobody else close that can take MVP from Ohtani IMO
But he doesn't have Come-from-behind home runs or walk-off Home Runs. Most of his homeruns are not for the team and just for his records.
@mlb mark my word! He will be the only 50/50 man in MLB history 🙏🏼
He's on pace for 50/50.
Na
@@BigDaddy52525 you’re right more like 50+/60+ man 😆
He is still struggling on fastballs in the zone. Got lucky dude made a bad 2 strike pitch. If he would have buried it in the dirt ohtani would be 1 for last 49 AB with 2 STRIKES. Hope he snaps out of it. Looks absolutely awful in last few weeks.
what is 50/50?
Beautiful swing
To be able to fill stadiums like that week in and week out. Wow. I wish my country had something like that
Dodgers has most stadium occupation in MLB for a number of years. Especially after Ohtani's joint this season, the stadium attendance is far higher even the ticket prices went up a lot. Dodgers fans even occupy most seats in visited stadiums especially in less popular stadiums, they often turned the visited ballparks into their home stadiums as most Dodgers fans occupied the spaces and floated the visited towns streets.
@@berryleung7288 do dodgers benefit though? Or is it resale?
Just a stunning combination of power and speed. Show The Way Shohei! LET'S GO DODGERS!

So Cool Shohei!!!!
Man he is different ❤
a true living legend..
from South Korea with respect 🇰🇷
It is happiness to have legendary Shohei Ohtani in the Dodgers team
1:24 His bat crack sound is so good that I want to use it as a notification alert
You can find collections of Ohtani's seasonal HR bat sounds sequences in last 3 years from RUclips or twt. Especially '21 &'23. They really sound like symphonies.
Шикарный бейсболист ❤❤❤
Shotime!!!!!! 🎉
I hope he gets out of this current slump quickly n this HR is a good sign of it.
His injury probably around 90% recovered he is throwing 80s MPH during training .
87mph+ more than a month ago. Ohtani told interviewer with shyness that he's still under a long way for recovery because he's throwing slow pitches like 87mph 😂 as a recovery pitcher(while most MLB pitchers are mainly throwing early 90s pitches during seasons) .
@berryleung7288
🤣 we can't compare normal pitchers to those top 10 pitchers like Ohtani . He's not 100% yet but he's throwing like a normal pitcher in the league , we'll see his control next season if he's ready . It's the dodgers management how they think 🤔 if they want to protect him or use him to his best abilities .
@@berryleung7288 He probably doesn't want to pitch anymore, he already going to make what his contract says even without pitching so why do more work for same amount of money
Sandy Koufax in awe of Ohtani, that's special.
He’s good
Yeah he’s alright
Yeah very ordinary, he should have got 50 homers, .350 batting avg, 1.5ops, 20 wins in pitching and below 1.5 ERA
Hes alright for a pitcher. 😂
No stuff
Yes, definitely good
ohtani pls win triple crown this year! go go go!!
GOAT MVP🎉
Judge better
Jude basura NY Mets > Yankees
Judge doesn’t pitch
I would say they go pretty much toe-to-toe.
Has shohei this year?
On Dusty night! 🥰Recommend watching Dusty introduce Shohei for MVP. Great story teller!

Koufax I think loved it.
Thank you. I was wondering who that was. I know I’m not worthy. I’m ashamed I didn’t know lol
I do not know who Sandy Koufax is. Is that bad?
Hes been struggling. Good to see him shine.
Ohtani is still struggling even in this game with facing 90s fastballs, he hit most out for HR last season easily even outside of box but this season he can hardly hit 90s fastballs for unknown reason(might caused by his recovery limitation).
He's hitting. 302 with 35hr's and 83rbi's with plenty of games left. He doesn't struggle...

First pitcher, now batter, next golfer. A 400+ yard, slight fade into center field!
Maybe Mookie will teach him how to bowl. 😂
Babe Ruth didn’t Steal Bases Like Shohei⚾️🧢💙

Most of you don't realize how great a swing this was give then pitch sequence and location. Keller hit his spot, manybe just a few inches high. All 3 pitches had the same arm slot. Many MLB hitters would of missed or rolled over on that pitch given the location. SO is on another level... best baseball player of all time.
Bro how does he make it look so effortless
He’s got Mamba Mentality
So looking forward to seeing him in the playoffs. Baseball desperately needs this guy on there biggest stage.
最近は調子を落としているが、それでもこの成績
ちなみに、大谷選手の本業はピッチャーです
1:24-1:25: Let’s just say that Shohei has just left Dodgers’ Stadium with that home run & it was a beauty. 🫶
So if I remind everyone that he's a pitcher I'll get top comment?

HELLO no. 35, 40/40 WATCH ! ! !

MLB is about to get crazy
오타니 최고~~~
For sure, it just sounds different when he connects then it does from average hitting in my humble opinion, he’s still a great player regardless.
1st at bat, struck out swinging at three balls over his head. His chase rate is off the charts.
You knew it was going to happen once the announcers were saying... he's batting.021 with two strikes... Oh my god! Never fails.😂
He's in a huge slump (for Ohtani) right now. He's too good to keep down, I predict big things in the coming weeks.
Finally! It's about damn time!
like a prime Tiger woods' driver shot, shohei is almost the best golf player
NL MVP ⚾️🧢☀️
There it is. ㊗️Shohei Ohtani's 35th 2-run homer🎉
Ohtani did this! Ohtani did that! Look at what Ohtani did! Let’s make some videos about any of the other guys that play the sport, please, MLB.
It’s a bird it’s a plane no it’s Shohie ohtani….
What if the current Shohei Otani and Sandy Koufax in their prime faced off against a dream legend?
Even Shohei, as expected, would have a hard time hitting a home run
Koufax was incredible but pitching and hitting have greatly changed since his day, im sure he could still strike out ohtani a few times, especially in the first couple ABs, but soon enough shohei would get a good handle on prim sandy, maybe not hitting 300 off of him, but doing far better than most hitters Sandy faced during his era
Irresistible force meets immovable object.
That fan running on the tarp chasing the ball took a chance. Probably kicked out of the stadium soon after.
Those fans would push their own kids aside to chase an ohtani ball.
Remember guys
this is a Pitcher under arm rehab.
Really? Nobody has ever mentioned that before
But I think we should never forget he is a pitcher.
Huge!!!
I don’t even watch baseball I just watch the 🐐
Ohtani is an outstanding baseball player .

I used to think Ichiro was the GOAT.
Now I know Ohtani is.
Most people opt for a single to get out of a slump, but a homer works too.
Even Sandy Koufax was even impressed by that one. And he was a pitcher!😅
