Throughout basically all of 2023 I was telling people he would be a Dodger, and the fact that they made it happen and he is absolutely delivering on the hype in just the first year is just incredible to watch. He's made this team and this sport a billion times more fun. Hopefully he's lifting a certain trophy come October.

2023 he was given surgery and expected to have only normal success this season. But I thought it might be an overestimation for a pitcher to have a normal performance as a hitter after the surgery. But even that was an underestimation. He hit 29 home runs in the first half of the season alone, and his batting average was over .300. I can no longer find words to describe him. I'm at my wits' end. I'll devote the rest of my life to watching Otani.
