Your view on motherhood is so gentle and raw. So refreshing and reassuring in a place like the internet. Your videos always make me feel so cared for and warm. Lots of love from Germany💕
Jessica always provides such a safe, comfortable space on RUclips and we love it! We love seeing her family's updates. If you ever need something fun to incorporate into your routine, try our diverse children's songs. They're perfect for your family. #progressongs
I have never commented on a RUclips video before but I feel like I need to say thank you because I just had my first baby on Easter and oh man, your comment on dying a slow death made me feel really validated and less ashamed. I am finishing my graduate school finals this week and I needed so much more help with the baby than I thought. And now that it’s almost over I feel like I will still need the support. Saying some people will find new motherhood less difficult than you is so respectful but it also helps those of us who are finding new motherhood so difficult
Jessica, you make me feel so much more at peace and less stupid. I just found out my husband and I are expecting and I've just been BINGING your videos. I seriously feel so much better listening to your gentle advice. I don't feel judged and leave your videos feeling encouraged. I know everyone comments that you're like their older sister, IT IS TRUE, girl. You're a literal angel❤️
Having a baby in a pandemic made the support part so hard. I appreciated having your videos during the first few months of my daughter's life. Now she is 9 months and we are expecting baby #2. I am excited to have people come visit and HELP this time around. Woohoo!
Oh man, "surrender your expectations" has been the biggest learning curve for me. Everything is hard but it's so much LESS hard when I'm not fighting for what I want things to be and just letting them be what they are. Ten months post partum and still feel like I have to relearn this lesson all the time.
Do you have advice for post partum feelings?? Im not a mother but ive heard many stories and im not necessarily scared to have kids im just scared to be super sad for a long time
I’m currently 26 weeks and towards the end I almost started to bawl my eyes out while eating my lunch at work lol this already feels how I need to prepare myself because I’m scared I’ll be not nurturing enough for my baby girl. And I feel guilty for feeling that way because I know my husband is scared too and I don’t want us both going nuts over crazy things. 🤦🏻♀️ this is our first.
This is like the third time I've come back and watched this video as an expectant mother. For someone who is so excited to give birth but also terrified about how it might affect my mental health, your tone is so calming and encouraging. Thank you for putting out such realistic but uplifting content about motherhood.
@@capslovesit Also, take turns taking naps and don’t wake up at night at the same time, that way you and your husband can take turns taking care of the baby and be the support for each other.
These tips are so important. My two sons are 16 months apart, I just had my second on 4/20. I don't know what I would do with out my family helping take care of my kids.
Hey can you give us an update on how your sister’s baby is doing last I heard he was in the Baby aquarium. I would really love to know if he’s doing all right sending lots of prayers and love
I think you are amazing and hilarious and I love the way you inspire and help us mamas and mamas to be out there. I believe you make MANY women feel better about themselves and about motherhood.
I love your videos so much! First time pregnant girl here - I need some advice on having little to no friends/family as support. Me and my husband are inmigrants, and with covid we haven't been able to make many friends. We're also not able to go back to our country, nor family coming here. I'm a little scared we might go nuts the first few months. If anyone has some advice, I'll highly appreciate it 💕
I also had a baby as an immigrant with next to no friends, and none of my own family. I found some Facebook support groups from back home and that really helped. You'll be up at crazy times anyway, so the time difference won't affect you chatting. It really helped me, hope it can help you too. ❤
10/10 don’t recommend having a baby during a pandemic lol with that being said I’ll be having my second COVID baby near my sons first birthday 🤪 your videos have definitely helped me through both pregnancies and with this one being high risk for preterm labor especially. Your sister and your stories have helped a lot ❤️
Support is the biggest thing. Having a baby during the pandemic with travel restrictions makes it way harder. Try to plan ahead for someone to come help
Would love to hear you and your husband talk about delegation of responsibilities. I see SO many women post about this & not judging, you do what works for you. But I do think it's something you should talk about, preferably before having kids but regardless, still need to talk about it. I just can't imagine my husband not changing a diaper, idk.

28 weeks pregnant with my first baby - thank you, thank you, thank you for your videos ❤️

You got this. Your mama instincts are kicking in already.
@@ashleycnossen3157 thanks definitely hope so. I have lots of nieces and nephews I’ve been around as babies but I know it won’t exactly be the same
Support! Yes! I had a postpartum doula this time around and it was such a blessing.
This was very helpful and sweet! I had my first baby 9 days ago and am realizing how important the things you listed are.
Actual topic of video starts at 3:40 🙌🏽
You’re welcome

Aw thank you so much. I appreciate hearing that! Congratulations you will be amazing. ❤️
Number 1: support
Me and my husband: living alone in London with all our friends and family back home in Australia unable to travel because of covid
Might be a good investment to hire a postpartum doula :)
We are in Greece and my family is in Ireland, also can’t travel 🤧
@@emilybryant8461 I haven't been able to work since covid broke out so not an option for us. But we'll get there, it's only temporary 😊

I would have never gotten through being pregnant last year without you! Thank you so much for these videos 😘

Thank you. Im 6 weeks postpartum and needed these reminders!
I wish I had this video when I had my babies. My youngest is 1 and it still helped! Love you Jess!

LOVED this video! So full of truth and helpful for new moms
Love this concept!! I think these things are so much more important than any cool gadget you could buy! Thank you for the amazing video 🥰

Hi Jess - can you make a video about your babies transition out of the swaddle to the Merlin and then zipadeezip?
Hi
Your letdown face made me crack up! 😂 It always happens at the most random times.
Loved loved this video 🥰

Where was this 7 months ago when I was going to be induced! Pregnant ladies, LISTEN TO HER! Do yourself a favor me do what she says.
Mute!!! It’s my best friend for social media 😂
