I love your videos! I'm a new mom with a 2 week old! All my family is on the other side of the country so all this is helpful! Baby girl had a melt down lastnight and I was in tears. And your voice from your videos came to mind saying " I'm doing a great job". So thank you again your videos are so helpful
I just had a baby so I can tell you all my must haves lol. My baby is 6 days old I love the swaddleme pods (and I do wish I brought them to hospital but I didn't bring them!), Ekouaer Women's Nightgown Cotton Sleep Shirt V Neck (Amazon), a robe (I brought an old cotton blue robe it was a lightweight one for Spring,) Earth Mama peri spray, I did bring 2 depends for going home and that worked out great :) I brought home like 4 or 5 pair of the hospital mesh panties they're still in my drawer at home I just use depends at night and regular maxis during the day. Hope I helped anyone reading this! :)

i brought adult diapers like depends to the hospital and they were wayy more comfortable than what the hospital gave!

I liked what the hospital gave me a lot but i saw someone talk about adult diapers a few weeks after i had my baby and i wished i had bought them
I keep hearing that depends are the way to go in terms of comfort and convenience and I’m ordering some today. My daughter and I can match lol
Maya Chaoui yes! I loved what I had at the hospital but when I got home it made me feel more “normal” to have the depends! I wore post baby leggings with them and you couldn’t tell! They are the best!

I'm so glad I found your channel Jess.. I have 6 weeks until my bub is due. I am already a mum of two, but they are 9 & 8 yrs old and it seems like another lifetime that I was a mumma of a bub. I have been feeling so nervous about going back into this phase of life, however your videos make me feel at ease and like "I can do this". Just wanted to mention Neosporin is not recommended particularly by dermatologists because it is known to cause allergic reactions. If you run out of mupirocin or bactroban given by the physician, plain Vaseline would be a safer option. This goes for any surgical site, or wound.
Awesome list! The boppy pillow is always great for momma to sit on, mostly after a vaginal delivery. 🙂 multi purpose things are awesome! I'd also add for muslin swaddles: great blanket, swaddle, nurse cover, throw down to protect baby from any surface during diaper changes, car seat cover, burp cloth, protect kiddo from sun I'm car, throw on the floor for tummy time, etc. One with 2 strings on each corner was given to me and it's the best! (You could always sew strings on the ones you have.)

I don't know why I love these videos so much 😅 great concise list! I would add a wrap carrier like the Solly is really helpful for the first couple months. I found them easier than ring slings. Another thing I'd add is a white noise machine, and I LOVE my SnuggleMe organic. Can't live without it! My second baby is 2 months old now and I already kind of forget those early days. Haha

Love this video!!! I am currently 35 weeks and having my baby shower this weekend! For our little boy on the way, how many sleepers/comfy outfits is a good amount? I don’t want to have piles and piles of clothes that he grows out of right away but I also don’t want to be hunting for something to put him in when we have to do laundry. Suggestions? Thank you for all your helpful tips!
Motivation in a Mug call your hospital check what they provide it varies a lot. on the sleepers I recommend gowns or sleep sacks in 0-3 months size instead of tons of newborn size footies have like 5 or 6 newborn size things that's what I did with my first and they only fit him for a week my second only wore that size for a month and with a third on the way can't tell how long they'll be in those but heck my second was in gowns almost constantly easier diaper changes

I’m really sorry, but snacks for your loved ones? I’ll have enough to worry about while I’m in labor besides if my family is hungry. They can worry about their own snacks. (Husband is the exception - hospital bag will have snacks for him too.)

$47 for a one piece, $19 for a headband 😂😂 I’m not ready lol I was looking on h&m and it’s like $19 for three onesies 😂😂 does that mean it’s not good? I confused
Well I’ve heard that the double zipper onesies are more expensive but easier when it comes to changing the baby bc you can zip up the baby or from down to up . It’s also about material as well . Just do your best , I’m sure you’ll do great !!
