Love your videos so much!! I don't know if you have thought about this but it would be cool/helpful to have a "Dad/Partner 101" or something video for the nervous dads/partners to be as one can feel kind of useless. Best ways to support and just the role in general. Thank you so much for your presence on YT and Instagram, always a joy
Same here! I loved your Think Pretty series Jess. I've watched it so many times now and I recommend it to everyone that might benefit from it too. Anything like that would be so darn nice ♥️
I have issues with mental healt, sometimes it’s just nice to watch videos and see you doing the best you can - your videos on PPD are wonderful, but honestly I enjoy every single video you make! It’s kind of like research before I actually need it :) All the best wishes for you and your family
I get so excited to see that you've uploaded a video! Expecting my first (it's a boy) on Feb. 27th, but I genuinely feel like I have the mentality of it being my third... my bf and I are so simple and just really feel the need for only the basics and this was SO helpful in determining those final "must-have's"! Thank you so much for your kind, open, non-judgmental, and authentic heart. You are so loved! ❤️
I would add to this list: physio ball for bouncing baby to sleep and wireless earbuds for watching shows or listening to podcasts/books/music while baby naps on you!
I loved the muslin swaddles for the NEW newborn phase. Once my daughter discovered she could rub her face and eyes ALL THE TIME (around 1 month+) , she was also strong enough to accidentally pull the muslin swaddle up over her face and scare the crap out of me (nothing like waking in the middle of the night to a baby who has covered her face up with her own swaddle). I switched to the velcro swaddle (swaddleme stage 1) and it was amazing. I had tried the velcro swaddles for the newborn phase but it just wasn't necessary at that time. When it came time to give up the swaddle I left one arm out when I swaddled for about 1 or 2 weeks then just transitioned to the sleep sack, I didn't bother doing phase 2 or 3 of the swaddle me, just used a thrifted sleep sack! ......just a tip for any of you who have a baby hulk that breaks out of muslin swaddles.
love the video, my baby is on the way and due in just under 6 weeks! I just want to say that loungers are not safe for baby to sleep in! they are not regulated and have no safety standards and babies have died in them. they are a risk for positional asphyxiation :( follow the ABC's of safe sleep (alone, back, crib/bassinet/play yard) to keep your babies safe! (if anyone reading this would like to learn more the AAP and FDA have released statements on positioners and loungers and safe sleep).
Such a good list! The only thing I didn’t use was a nursing pillow for nursing but I did use it for propping baby. We have the baby jogger city select and I like it because you can add pretty much any infant seat with their adapters. The main thing I used was my Ergo ❤️
It's so funny how we all differ! This is my 3rd baby and there I think was only one thing we agreed on. Otherwise I don't buy any of those things :) To each their own! Hoping this baby likes the same stuff my other 2 did! But not counting on it!
Copper Pearl make amazing blanket/swaddles! I cannot reccomed them enough. I hated muslin swaddles because they have zero stretch. I cannot figure out why everyone reccomeds them. Copper pearl Are so soft and stretchy and hold perfectly tight when you need that.
Jess, how many bottles do you recommend having? Also how many nursing bras are helpful to have? Just a couple or more? Thank you so much for putting this together! It was perfect timing for me.
Thank you!! 🤍 First time pregnant person here, I’ve loved your videos for years and now I’m so excited to watch these with a being in my belly and to support your shop!! Realllly vowing to buy all of the items I need from your shop and not Amazon. That means something to me and little things are what I/we need right now 🤟
People do. The busy lifestyle of a lot of Americans doesn't make cloth diapering seem like the easier option even though it's cheaper and just adds a couple more loads of laundry a week.
Hi Jess! I am 8 months and have not completed my registry (my friends and family are bugging me about it lol) - I am just very go with the flow type Z person. This video was really helpful and I appreciate all your tips. Thanks!
Not a parent or planning to be one for quite some time but I was talking about swaddles to my bf yesterday and mentioned that some have velcro and he goes "like a straight jacket?" 😂. Edit: there are ways to do pottying without diapers, called EC (elimination communication). Also there is cloth diapering 😊. Just wanted to add because not sure how many people know about EC.
2:58 I didn't get a breast pump and for me it's a waste of money. Untill now (4,5 months after delivery) I haven't needed it. I had to pump 1 spoon almost every breastfeeding only for the annoying Colief but I changed it very fast bcs it wasn't working for my baby anyway.
For us we used diaper changes to wake up our baby for feedings and cold wipes weren't too bad. I was given 1 and sold it. I luxury not necessity would be change pad cover liner so you don't change the cover every time it gets poopy, just the little washable liner.
you’ve talked about your hard time overseas, how did becca handle nannying during that period? I saw on the VGMC site she was there?! Did she come after? ❤️
Hi Jess! I just recently found your channel and I've been binge watching all your videos. Me and my husband want to start trying soon, so I'm trying to learn as much as I can. I've also been doing lists of essentials so I can budget, and this video was really helpful for that. I'll be watching your other essential videos for sure! ❤️ Love from Argentina
I also will have two under two in May. I don’t have personal experience with this yet, but my friend with 3 under 3 really loves her Zoe stroller. zoestrollers.com/collections/doubles/products/zoe-twin-stroller?variant=31104784924706
@@themarieolsen thank you so much! I’ll look into this one. All the blessings to you as you prepare! I know go back and forth from nervousness to joyful anticipation ❤️
Look at the Mockingbird stroller! They have a double now as well as single. I’ve had friends use and say good things about them! They’re also customizable color/pattern wise, attractive looking and more budget friendly than the other pretty looking ones :))
I came searching for this video to see if you owned a Sakura Bloom Onbuhmio carrier.... I was on the website and the carrier model for the color Flax looks so much like you!!! my mind is blown haha!
I just tried it and it worked at checkout - the discount was added just before i needed to add the payment method. Did it not work for you at that point?
Jess is the most authentic and kind youtuber there ever was ❤️ I’ve never seen someone so non-judgemental and just truly loving
Wow 😳 this is the nicest thing to see as a start my morning. Thank you so much Emily!
So true😭🤍
So true!
This, for sure!!
Totally agree
Could you do a video on retaining your identity after becoming a mom? I love your videos and facebook group!!
Man that’s a difficult topic and definitely something that should be discussed!

"We like her alot"🤣🤣🤣
Not about to start a family, but I love the videos. It’s truly like having a friend that you can talk about everything with
Thanks for the videos
Aw really? Thank you!! Is there anything you wish i would talk about that would apply to your life right now? ❤️

I just want to say the Facebook group has been such a great help as a first time mom. All the mom's are amazing and have great advice.
Don’t know where I would be without the Facebook group. I’m a FTM and 20 years old and I have learnt so much from the group
What group are you referring to???
awww, Jules is so cute! 🥺
Thank you!!
The hair grab! 🤣
I absolutely love your outfit. Where did you get it? Or what brand is it?
Would love to know too!

Thanks so much for including us adopting parents!
Which nursing pillow is this? The link doesn’t work anymore in the description
Can’t wait for the hospital bag and postpartum videos!
You made me laugh out loud when you said “This is baby Jules, we like her a lot” 😂 Of course, she is your baby! 🤣
Yes it was hilarious 😂
currently in the midst of baby fever but i am 15 so i am a mommy vicariously through these videos
i’m 15 too and i have been binge watching so many different teen mom videos, and different nursery hauls!!! baby fever is so bad rn
Currently 5 months pregnant and freaking out over what to buy :P this is so helpful!! xx

You are so cute i absolutely love you..always makes me smile to watch your videos god bless u jess!! Xoxo
Why don't people use washable cloth instead of diapers
Cuz a newborn needs like 10 diaper changes a day
People do. The busy lifestyle of a lot of Americans doesn't make cloth diapering seem like the easier option even though it's cheaper and just adds a couple more loads of laundry a week.

I just got the mockingbird stroller and I'm obsessed!!! As for a bassinet, we are doing the playpen option! Love it!
Question: I’m a size 16, will a breast friend pillow strap securely around me? Thanks
The mocking bird stroller is a good pupa baby vista dupe. Less quality fabric but same functions
Baby is due in less than a month. I'm about to make my final mass purchase from amazon registry for 15% off.
What’s the link to the Facebook group I can’t find it when I search it 🥺
Please a vid with breastfeeding essentials and general 101!!! 💜💜💜💜
You might wanna change your tablet’s password now😛
I love your videos. Thank you for being so authentic.
I’m so here for those hand movements. ^.^ so jazzy!!
Every single one of your videos is a breath of fresh air for me. You seem so genuine and kind, I’m thankful for your videos!
Love your videos, always! ❤️ Thank you 🙏
Could you do a video on travelling with babies/kids?
I’m also on the hunt for a double stroller! We will have 2 under 2 in May, so I would love anyone’s input on their favorite one!

Thanks for the video - I love your outfit ❤️
What a great idea to help people who would just start making a random list of things to order.
🥺🥺❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love this video jessica! Cant wait for the next ones! much love to you!
where is your lamp from?😍😍
I came searching for this video to see if you owned a Sakura Bloom Onbuhmio carrier.... I was on the website and the carrier model for the color Flax looks so much like you!!! my mind is blown haha!
I just went to your IG and it WAS YOU!! :D
Jess! Where did you get your set?
Boho Beach Shop in New Jersey! It was a Christmas gift! It’s on their website :) i tagged their Instagram in the description box below the video ❤️
Where is your outfit from? Cute!
You’re amazing
Love! FYI - the BUILT BAR discount isn’t working.
So weird! I just emailed their company to see what the issue is. I’ll let you know what i find out ❤️
I just tried it and it worked at checkout - the discount was added just before i needed to add the payment method. Did it not work for you at that point?
Yea just placed the order and no discount was applied. I emailed them to cancel.
Just got the cookies and cream built bar, can’t wait to try it!❤️
