Yup, all the clothes newborns rly need is those footie onesies. Preferably the ones that can be unzipped from the bottom. They are great for night time diaper changes.
2:37 how did you get your baby who needs his arms up to be able to have his arms in a swaddle like that using the zip swaddle ? My little potato absolutely detests her arms being swaddled inside a swaddle traditional or not( using a similar no technique swaddle just zip style) she must have it up in the air and free. She was like this ever since the day she was born, when a night nurse swaddled her using a cloth and swaddled her arms in, she yelled 2 minutes later. I bought a zip up swaddle and she wasn’t having it at all. When did you start using the Solly wrap for your baby, age and weight wise? My little one is 6 weeks and feels about 7 pounds.
He didn’t mind the Love to Dream swaddle since it let his arms be up, but I did transition him out of it pretty young! It’s a weird transition because he did wake himself up with the Moro reflex a lot for a while, but I know whether or not you swaddle, all babies will have to grow out of that reflex at some point. So I figured no point in delaying it haha I’d say if your baby loves to have her arms free just go for it! Whenever we have another baby, I might go arms free from the start 😊
Landon was 7 pounds at birth and I want to say we started using the Solly within a couple weeks of him being born! I felt so nervous at first because they feel so fragile but as long as you wear them safely (high up and always making sure air passageways are clear) it’s safe to use when they’re tiny 😊 It took some trial and error for me to master it but eventually it becomes second nature! Congrats on your baby! 🤍
@@elizabethrosecross that’s a really good point. It’s also super interesting how some babies are very particular about certain things too. Ooh I see. Mines was 5 pounds at birth and her neck muscle usage is getting better but not quite very stable or strong at the moment, so I am slightly hesitant about using a wrap for that reason.
@@dear868 Oh I know, makes you realize that they really are their own little person even when they’re so tiny! Landon has always been really good at letting us know when he doesn’t like something, and lately he shows it by growling 😂 I totally understand wanting to wait on the Solly, I’d probably feel the same!
Great video! My baby is almost 3 months now. One thing that I'm glad I got was plenty of newborn clothes because so many people told us "you won't need newborn clothes because they'll outgrow them quickly." Well she is just starting to outgrow her newborn clothes at almost 3 months so I'm glad I got plenty of those! 😂 I also love that little light!
@@elizabethrosecross I think I'm going to transition her to 0-3 month clothes now 😂 it's bittersweet but I'm excited because she was born a month early and was 5 1/2 lb at birth so I'm so glad she's growing!
Ohh it’s so hard to put away their tiny clothes. I’m pretty sure I cried putting his newborn clothes in a box 😢 But I totally agree, it’s such a joy to see them growing and healthy!
I'm 5 weeks pregnant
I hope my baby turns out to be as cute as your baby!
Did you have your baby yet??!

It’s the Solly wrap! 😊

Cute
About how many sleep swaddles do you recommend purchasing for the newborn stage? I'm due in late April :)
Congratulations!! That’s coming up so soon 😍 I only had one but two would have been a lot more convenient!
