    Used the elastic wrap a lot with my first born, there is nothing out there as comfortable as this! But yes, with a big Baby like my second, it loosens incredibly quickly. Then you better go with a non-elastic woven wrap or another carrier as schown. The ergobaby carriers are really great 👌

      I agree they’re super comfy! I never tried them with my first few bubs who were smaller but my boy is nearly 12kg and he isn’t even 8 months yet 😆 he made it saggy within minutes!

    I love your practical list! In addition to the pump/bottles/bags, is there anything else you find helpful for mom when it comes to breastfeeding?

      Hey lovely! Great question! Honestly I'm super low maintenance when it comes to everything, but let me ponder on it and I'll do another video on this topic! x

      They puke and poo on them so I’d get a few for those first few months - 5 maybe?
      The older they get the less u need ☺️ 3 is more than enough at 3+ months x

    This video is awesome! I’m a first time mum and my baby is a week old. Dude this is the most challenging most incredible experience in my whole entire life!!! Love being a mum so much ❤ and omg yes wondersuits and love to dream swaddles have been a saviour!! Also I have the spectra S1 (the portable one) and that has been amazing too. Worth every cent!

    How about kmart wonder suit? Are they different from bonds one? Because I see kmart one’s are much cheaper

    • @marissawendt
      @marissawendt  Год назад

      Kmart makes lovely ones too! But I’ve found bc I’ve had many kids it’s actually been cost efficient for me to buy bonds as they last longer (the quality) as i keep them for my bubs . I’m due with #6 and I still have them from my 5 year old

    Also just wanting to know how many wondersuits in each size to get for newborns to cover me for first 6 months ?
    Worried I will buy too many and that baby will grow out of them before I use them all lol if you can recommend how many of each size you think would be necessary that would be so bloody helpful to me hahahah ? X

    • @marissawendt
      @marissawendt  2 года назад +1

      It depends on how big ur baby is from birth, mine are usually 8 lb ish so 5x of each size is sufficient.
      When they’re in size 0s they’ll likely use those the most, so I’d have 10 for day/night total x

    How many newborn clothes my baby actually need?

    • @marissawendt

      In my opinion, I’d say about 10 onesies ☺️

    It is baby carseat not a capsule. You do not need most of what you mention, as you only went from your lifestyle , budget and wants and needs without explaining bit more.. It is risqué to say you will need , buy etc ..

    • @biancaf8708
      @biancaf8708 2 года назад +15

      In Australia we have ‘capsules’, that’s what they’re called in store and in our community. It’s the same thing as a ‘baby car seat’ just different terminology for different locations is all :)
      She is speaking from her experience, and she mentions that multiple times. No need to be a bit harsh, she’s doing a great job helping first time mums and it’s a wonderful video for people who don’t know a lot about essentials.

      Thanks Bianca 🤍 And thanks Kristine for your comment, you’re right! All a baby needs is a place to sleep, milk and lots of loving. But from my own experience these r the ‘essentials’ I leaned on during their newborn years ☺️
