It boggles my mind that they seem more worried about someone who stole something being able to keep it than having a person that paid real money for something having access to what they paid for. It's ludicrous!
they are deeply and tragically committed to the idea of full no-limits PVP. At some point they will have to accept that there is lots of simple ways to deal with stuff like this but they require that SOME limits be put on where and how PVP can happen.
I'm not a fan of crafting sub gear because technically we're not getting it back for free. You will have to grind in game or pay for resources in order to craft it again. Not to mention a base or crafting station too. In essence, paid for items then become standard in-game items. EDIT: They should've made all the armor and weapons account locked cosmetics that are applied. Not actual armor sets and guns if going down the crafting route.
Idk, I prefer some kind of cost associated with it. It would seem a bit cheesy to just be able to respawn your gear over and over forever for completely free.
@@tee4222 but you can do that with ships via insurance claims. A rifle or set of armor is nothing compared to recovering a Javelin for free. In my edit, CIG should've made all the sub gear skins and cosmetics that apply on top of items. Not the actual gear itself. I believe that would've been the better and easier route.
@@leader_one well, that’s one thing we know is going to be completely revamped. But yeah, in the meantime, it would seem appropriate to have a wait time like the ships.

The way they looked at each other and the stammering from Jarred on the whole ordeal means they have FUCK ALL idea about how this is really going to work.
there is so many simple answers to this problem but CIG makes up convoluted answers to solve it that they even dont understand. Subscriber gear/unique purchased items are a marketing thing and devs dont care nor is it a priority for the project from what i have gathered
Hell fucking no I am not gathering resources in order to "craft" my PAID gear that I lost to their dumbass bugs/glitches. The fact that they cba to make it account/soulbound is telling. Death of a spaceman will be a PITA if intruduced before all the issues are fixed.
@talon5902 yes this is the thing I don't understand: We can always claim our expensive ships, with lots of firepower, missiles, bombs but claiming some small arms and body armor is a problem? (Of course, I am happy we can claim our ships, I don't want this removed)
You don't own anything in this game. These are digital items, not physical items, so what you own is a license for these products, and the ownership of the digital goods are subject to whatever terms and conditions the sellers wishes to update them to. This is generally the distinction in law within most parts of the world, and when some country changes its laws to vary too much from this idea, companies that sell digital goods stop selling them there. They can literally turn your spaceship into a pony that can't fly and dies if you take it outside if they want, and there's no legal recourse for you. Hopefully the people still spending $100m/year on this screenshot generator will realize this before that happens, but I have no reason to think they will. This is why I say we need to take more control over this game's future. No matter what they have promised us over the years, the only thing stopping them from doing whatever they want with the ships and gear we have bought is their good intentions, and I think they have done a great job of proving they are not to be trusted.
@@preechrthis is incorrect in CIGs case, and EU would be the first to slap CIG and force them to label ship sales as concept only because they were not advertising at point of sale. But nobody will sue so it doesn’t matter, and cig will not alter as stating they can remove your access to your pledge at will can result in all funding dead that day.
@@larrymitchell6470 your last statement is true. CIG is somewhat restrained in what they can get away with because, as you say, if they go too far they will lose funding altogether. Well, you said if they take your ships or “remove access” to them… If I am paraphrasing incorrectly let me know. They are constantly pushing the boundaries of what they can get away with. Selling OP ships only to nerf them immediately, releasing fake sales videos of features they have no intention or even ability to ever offer, selling a backlog of concept ships that will take decades to deliver, etc… Not only can they do whatever they want with “your” ships and the servers they live on, they are actively reducing your tolerance for doing so every time they lie and get away with it or nerf another incomplete ship again in a “game” that’s 90+% incomplete despite 13 years of “work.” The rest of your comment is either just how you hope the law works or you have some interest in making people believe your claims. World of Warcraft has the Bind On Pickup and Bind On Equip since the beginning and works quite well. I just don't see why item recovery and ownership is a problem. CIG is only shooting themselves in the foot missing out on more revenue.
We didn't pay to get "the chance to keep" the item or "just craft it if you lose it", sorry but a paid item should be available at all times in our inventory. As a player I don't have to think or worry about "how hard it is for a computer to run a set lines of code" in order to keep the servers running properly. Seriously, what the F? They are seriously considering paid items to have, at some point, a barrier or cost in play hours just to recover/get what we paid? this is not normal and not quite sure if its illegal. An online game is a service, and on topp of that, we pay to access the game and have extra stuff at our disposal from minute 1, having to pay ingame or having to go gather materials, even 1 single tree leaf or a single pebble, let's be clear, I paid for it and it must be accesible at any point with no extra hussle we are not responsible of possible game bugs resulting on duplication or stuff that's their F job to solve not our concern. They are totally making it sound llike its our fault cause some asholes abuse a flawed system....Why get 70€ armor if I can just buy it or craft it ingame, whats difference? both options need to be crafted but one options is 70€ cheaper....veeery chaotic...
They can do it for ships, they can do it for gear. Just put an insurance kiosk down and let us get our pricey sub gear back. Shouldn't be all that difficult.
That was their plan until they realized you could give me your paid gear and claim more yourself. They always have to make mountains out of molehills. God damn just make the gear unlootable and return to inventory upon death. Fucks sakes
The whole project seems to be only based on conversations at the coffee machine and "maybe it would be cool if..." No serious decisions, no clear idea if things are possible, only approvals from the marketing team to ensure that the coffee machine will be working for years to come.
It's not that hard to figure out once items are no longer in the owner possession upon death it starts a 24hr clock after that 24hr has passed if it's not in owners possession it deletes and go back to there starting location in there inventory they already have this in rented ships just apply to subscriber gear and done
This way Chris gets to keep his fetish of punishing player's upon death gives you a chance to go back after items lost . And also keeps people from duping pledged items . I can tell you right now if it's blueprints every one is going to grind out and make 5 copies of there favorite armor to keep so they have backups
i was told this week by CIG concierge support not to rely on my buyback roster because everythings subject to change and they have the legal right not to honor buyback...CIG is not an ethical company at all *honestly I have been waiting for the inevitable lawsuit about lost subscriber gear/purchased gear
Fully agree myself and everyone I know rarely use any of our items due to the chance of loosing it. At the very least have a 12-24hr claim timer on any account bound items. Boom duping now stops in mass.
The best thing is that I lost complete armor sets twice when dying in my hangar . That's the first time I had this issues in a landing zone. I lost a lot of armor over the process of the last 3-4 patches.
The gear being bound to your account is the only way imo. As in, non-lootable items. I bought them, I want them always to be available, and not having to craft them. After all I bought the gear, I didn't buy a blueprint.
100% agree, just bind armors and small-arms to the account-character directly, don't let them drop on death and simply have them back as soon as you respawn. Maybe even don't allow them to be dropped on the ground, or despawn then when you do, making them reappear in your home inventory.
@@bncthiccboi7552 Who is talking about respawning with armor already worn by your character? I am talking about it being returned to your home inventory, if you died and respawn on a medship you'd not have access to the inventory back at Area 18.
@@leinad3305 still not a good idea, so there is no punishment for dying u should lose weapons and armor for dying and have to craft it or go back to it. You all still see this game as single player instead of multiplayer
Looks to me like they haven't made any progress towards a solution, at all. Why should I have to craft the item at all? (Why not just return our items on death, to our inventory? If looted/stolen, do 24 hr delay, then de-spawn and return.) This solution is too complicated? de-spawn and return items on death/loss, leaving only regular items on the corpse.
The entire situation just makes me sad, we are waiting for a way to reliably and without the issue of using bugs, dupes or exploits to get our stuff back. Since November '21 with 3.15 there has been only silence and more or less vague answers regarding that issue. I'm with the project since Kickstarter, and at this point i'm just burned out, if you bring up the topic on the Spectrum, you get swarmed by white knights. I they stop pretending and actually work on that issue before i die of old age.
UO Solved this with rare af “Blessed” scrolls before the year 2000. Items blessed by a one time use scroll could not be looted and they spawn on you. However, you could sell them.
I basically melted a ton of my sub items cuz..well, they are useless now. Too likely to die to a random bug. Better to use that money on ships or something.
Items sync isn’t hard and games have done that for decades. You can even do a biometrics lock to make them not sellable or usable by others to fix dupe issues. These guys are just dumb.
Ships cannot be placed into inventory but for some reason personal gear can be put into other inventory. Glad to hear Camural is also on the reversal of 3.15 for player items. Should be simple as stated to lock personal gear and weapons to player account. Allow all other loot in game from NPC and loot boxes to be added to player inventory and then transferred to inventory for temporary account lock. This should be so easy.
how hard is it to add an extra tab in the armor shops for real money bought equipment which you can rebuy with aUEC ? they are overthinking this way to much man.
I think they need some sort of magic scifi 3d printer service that lets you duplicate items so long as materials are available along with original equipment. This should also allow you to 3d print rare items as well, but anyone who doesn't have the free voucher has to pay credits to copy it + the market value of materials in the system you're doing it in, meaning that you might want to go to a system where those resources are plentiful if you want to mass produce rare equipment for sale. Should also post a buy order whenever the materials aren't available, creating a some missions for traders.
Easy fix - as we basically buy skins on the store anyway give us the blueprint for an un-skinned basic version that we can craft and additionally a account-wide unlocked 1 click menu solution that let us apply the skin we bought to it. if we die and loose the item (or just drop it on the ground) others can loot the basic unskinned version of said item. (so basically a normal 0815 knife or whatever). Problem solved. Not 100% immersion but it works. Chris wants more immersion? use item decay (wear and tear) and make the paint fade away within 24 hours if anybody but the owner keeps the item.
One glaring problem for them is I will be able to use store credit to acquire gear and get the blue prints melt the gear and grabbing every item in the store over time I'll have everything with only a $10-$15 buy in
How about a degradation system, that way of it's looted, the armor will degrade then become unusable if it's bound to another account after it's claimed. Idk, I'm spit balling here but I completely agree, I don't even use my sub gear because a random bug kills me and the body makers don't work. So truly what's the point of spending money if I have to wait until the next patch to then die randomly again.
I don't know why it just doesn't just go back into your home hanger inventory when you die. Idk why that's hard to do. Just make it permanent in your inventory. You put the armor on, and the icon for that item just stays in our inventory permanently.
It's "Simple" give every subscriber item it's own unique generated item ID. When an item is recovered the item with the id is placed into inventory any item outside of the inventory with that ID is deleted.
How about real-money purchased things aren’t stealable. Yes, I mean ships too. When you lose access to your real-money purchased gear, you can spawn a new set. If you pickup or “re-own” a duplicate of that item back into your inventory, the older copy gets removed.
I use sub gear all the time. I’m at peace losing items until a next patch. Makes my body an interesting to loot encounter. Also, I don’t die that often. Maybe once every 1 or 2 weeks 🤷🏻♂️
If they don't want to call it soul bound or account bound or anything like that, they could go with Gene-Coded or something similar. Genetic lock, boom futuristic space sounding.
they just can't figure out how to implement mechanics around item loss & re-acquisition outside ingame gear shops. tho I can think of a couple of ideas...
This issue is so annoying and no white knight can defend it. Concierge said almost a year ago that they’ll be bringing in a kiosk for this. This is ridiculous. 90% of the store bought gear gets lost due to server errors lol what after 4.0? Everyone depends on wipes or patches to get their gear back. Currently we have to melt and rebuy if possible if it’s lost and I suspect the acct reset was done away with because this is how most players were recovering gear they bought. So whack.
I don't kind losing in game items specially cargo but not pledge store items. Maybe make them unlootable and some way for the player to retrieve those items.
Literally happened to me when I started playing recently. Got the Citizencon starter package with the Archangel armour and Sniper Rifle set, but lost them in less than 2 hours from an FPS gunfight. Just waiting for a reset or wipe so I can have them back. I don't understand why that since it's irl purchased armour, they just can't come up with a mechanic where the item despawns or self-destructs on death and then can be picked up at a Lost and Found or something. Do they want to create an in-game economy where those irl money armours are just sold and passed around in game if they're stolen or scavenged? In which case, why even have them cost real money since someone can just find somebody in game who has it and pay UEC for it?
I can see why some are upset (and legally justified in some countries). I hope they make a major deterrent from claiming ships or gear eventually, or it will back the argument of just more pay2win. Not all like looting games where you have everything at stake, but some do and if that is what it is, they have to tread carefully.
You want to know how we could force them to get this fixed quickly? Start buying armor sets, losing them in game, filing a ticket, and then when they respond that there isn't a way for you to get them back, you ask for a refund. Repeat this at nauseam.
Selling armor and guns is a bad idea at least until the logic and process is 10000000% complete. Now adding blueprints to recover items promotes cloning and duping. Why open up to that rabbit hole. Any other instant recover turn items into god armor (even if cool down is applied). Just sell paints for said items the a player NEVER loses.
When they state that they're excited about potential game features but don't want to give me any information until a later date... It sounds more like a Christmas wish list sometimes and less like a business plan
I'm just selling back all my gear. There's no point in having it if you lose it to a glitch like i did. One more reason to hate this game. They can easily bind it to your account, but they refuse. If i could get my thousands back, I put into this game I would. The development teams have made me hate this game with everything I have. There is zero love for this game in me anymore. Especially after this years CitCon.
One thing I'm noticing is that the critical people at CIG are getting younger and younger. Lots of big, new ideas and very little stability or follow through. This seems to be accelerating with more staff turnover. Not that young developers aren't talented, but I don't think enthusiasm and new ideas are an acceptable substitute for strong product management or design experience.
@805Peej a game studio working on such an ambitious and huge project like Star Citizen, needs experienced people. People like John Pritchett. Of course, it is fine to give young people a chance too, but they need to have experienced leaders around, who can guide them, people they can learn from. The problem is: CIG is removing experienced people and replace them with cheap, young and inexperienced people, who find no one to ask, no one they can learn from.
@@805Peej The experienced people have left, only cheap yes men interns and the cult leaders are left. Stop fooling yourself not 1 of the 2 "games" are ever seeing a release. @@CamuralI don't think experienced devs would work there unless in dire straits. CIG is a place you can work your ass of at for 5 years and end up with nothing to show for it except a Roadmap Roundup saying your feature "has been temporarily removed" until they can get their shit together. Outside of a few disciplines like art, in terms of getting another development job it's a toss up whether it's better to claim you were at CIG accomplishing nothing for years or were unemployed. The pay is bad, and they make you move to Manchester and work in an office like it's 2018. I can't even imagine the frustration of trying to get anything done in a studio that operates like they do - I'd probably grind my teeth to nubs and retire via massive stress induced heart attack.
They're gonna wait, just long enough so they won't have to make the kiosk... And will just turn it into blueprints. The thing I'm more worried about, is that there's a very real chance that they will monetize the crap out of the higher insurances. This means that people who have bought multiple of the same ships can and will pay real money for high level insurance and thus circumvent the inconveniences of losing their ship through ramming. This would also make it extremely annoying to wage war on an Organization which consists of players who solely rely on premium insurance payed with real money in turn losing the downside of losing a ship. It's late, hope this is somewhat cohesive.
Character reset worked fine... Bring it back! There is little to no strain on a server with it implemented.. Might be untrue their statements about impact caused by character reset on back end.. lies... just so you cannot get your gear back is what it is.. And get back in servers when you are shard locked.. its evil..

They have no idea because they never had a strong, solid concept for this game. The vision changes on a whim. The fact that they're considering this aspect of the game 10 years after they started selling the gear is a big indicator.
If you make it soulbound, and a Pirate loots, they can get a similar default armour / gun / thing, that is of a "normal" skin and capabilities insteadl... there, problem solved
crafting wasn't part of the original concepts. just get rid of crafting , we dont need another minigame system when there's so many core gameplay loops unexisting. its so much easier to have a reclaim system, omg its just so much BS
They always stumble over themselves to put a simple solution behind a complex system, and always use that as an excuse for not having working basics in the 13th year even after they've spent multiples of a normal game budget. Here we are with a barely functional barebones mess with very superficial game play when you're not falling through the planet.
why not have it kinda like tarkov . you die (purchaed items you claim in your hanger for and they are 24hr delayed which removes the original from game) for anyone stealing from your body will see a item mark like a tick for example that basically means they are pledge so you know you will loose it after 24hrs
When a person who normally doesnt stutter , suddenly stutters its an indication he is lying. What the matter Lando , the lies getting to you.? Also looks like youve been digging into the comfort food, things not so sunny at BS headquarters anymore ?
i wonder what happened to their idea of "star citizen is for everyone, even family-people who don't have much time". this full-loot always-pvp-bullshit doesn't reflect that at all and currently i'm just hoping someone builds a game like SC but as singleplayer. i don't mean squadron with that. i want the trading, the mining etc
If the UEE has the technology to 3d-print you a new living human body upon death, copying the armor it was wearing should be a trivial feat by comparison. If you don't want dupes, then say it self-destructs when the owner dies. There is no excuse for not solving this ridiculously simple issue.
Item recovery is great but how about ship recovery? In the patch today I lost my Mercury Starrunner, Prospector and A2. Two patches ago I lost my Hurricane and Constellation Andromeda. Before that I lost a Carrack. They have 10x"d ship prices and hugely nerfed payouts. Every time I play it feels like I'm going backwards. But every time I play No Man's Sky it feels like I'm going forwards at a huge rate. Better ships, better weapons, better exo crafts, better base, even a better base aboard my carrier. It's been weeks and I'm nowhere near running out of interesting new planets, plants, animals, caves, ships. There's absolutely beautiful places, clouds, storms, wind, smoke. My only complaint is flight control in VR but SC doesn't have VR at all. The only advantage SC has is realism but that's broken with every ludicrous bug and every time I have to again spend hours putting the same components back on the same ships again and flying or claiming them all back where I left them - pure wasted time. Why am I playing SC at all?
Can't have infinite cash items that can be rtm'ed or player to player sold in game cause that is a means to real money trading or getting in game money from repeat selling flair items. There needs to be a cost to losing your shit, look at eve they have rare ships that will never be back in the game and if they get blown up they are gone forever. Not saying SC needs to go that hard but there should be a cost or account cool down or players will buy flair and sell in game.
Problem now is that the game is unstable and it's too easy to lose your shit at zero fault of your own, so they should just have an account reclaim option for now till 1.0
Don't forget, it's just an alpha and we are all "testers" when it comes to enless bugs, ridiculous gamedesign and all other. But when it comes to item recovery and payout balancing, it's "we can't have exploits!"
I guess it will be much cheaper to simply buy a new one from npc instead of crafting it with recources -.- It's a shame that there will not be an option to get it for free with a certain cooldown when lost -.-

Thats very goverment style of thinking xD
@@arkansasturin8144 its ran by a lot of europeans. They absolutely LOVE big government so its not at all surprising.
they are deeply and tragically committed to the idea of full no-limits PVP.
Oh no, you have to play the game
@@tee4222 why? This game doesnt need to be a second life simulator.
Yay, item recovery coming soon™. The soon™ being any time between now and the heat death of the universe because it just has to be a part of some unnecessarily complicated all-encompassing system like usual.
Dead wrong buddy
Money always talks the loudest. Stop buying all sub gear and melt it all and they’ll figure it out fast
Hell fucking no I am not gathering resources in order to "craft" my PAID gear that I lost to their dumbass bugs/glitches. The fact that they cba to make it account/soulbound is telling.
Death of a spaceman will be a PITA if intruduced before all the issues are fixed.
Claim ships claim items ?
@talon5902 yes this is the thing I don't understand: We can always claim our expensive ships, with lots of firepower, missiles, bombs but claiming some small arms and body armor is a problem?
(Of course, I am happy we can claim our ships, I don't want this removed)
Real money bought stuff better be there. Its fraud if not
You don't own anything in this game.
Literally not fraud but ok
@@preechrthis is incorrect in CIGs case, and EU would be the first to slap CIG and force them to label ship sales as concept only because they were not advertising at point of sale. And currently when you “pledge” there is no notice they will permanently take your stuff that opens them to lawsuits if do.
Selling OP ships only to nerf them immediately, releasing fake sales videos of features they have no intention or even ability to ever offer, selling a backlog of concept ships that will take decades to deliver, etc…
Not only can they do whatever they want with “your” ships and the servers they live on, they are actively reducing your tolerance for doing so every time they lie and get away with it or nerf another incomplete ship again in a “game” that’s 90+% incomplete despite 13 years of “work.”
The rest of your comment is either just how you hope the law works or you have some interest in making people believe your claims. Its also possible I didn’t understand you, so if you want to take your time and try again I’ll read it.
Actually, legally, they CANNOT tirn your spaceship into a pony that doesn't fly. There is such a thing as false advertising and wilfull lies. They'd get thrown into court and the case wouldn't last a week before they'd close shop.

We need a dedicated button IN THE MOBIGLASS to recover all the gear we bought with our money!!!
Then it’s pay to win
World of Warcraft has the Bind On Pickup and Bind On Equip since the beginning and works quite well. I just don't see why item recovery and ownership is a problem. CIG is only shooting themselves in the foot missing out on more revenue.
But, but, but it doesn't work like REAL LIFE insurance!!!!! /sarcasm
Oh no you have to play the game
They can do it for ships, they can do it for gear. Just put an insurance kiosk down and let us get our pricey sub gear back. Shouldn't be all that difficult.
That was their plan until they realized you could give me your paid gear and claim more yourself. They always have to make mountains out of molehills. God damn just make the gear unlootable and return to inventory upon death. Fucks sakes
Or have item degradation and put a timer on claiming paid gear.
100% agree on accountbound gear.
I think they're just making it up as they go along.
The whole project seems to be only based on conversations at the coffee machine and "maybe it would be cool if..."
No serious decisions, no clear idea if things are possible, only approvals from the marketing team to ensure that the coffee machine will be working for years to come.
Detective Camural on the case ! thank you 🙏
It's not that hard to figure out once items are no longer in the owner possession upon death it starts a 24hr clock after that 24hr has passed if it's not in owners possession it deletes and go back to there starting location in there inventory they already have this in rented ships just apply to subscriber gear and done
This way Chris gets to keep his fetish of punishing player's upon death gives you a chance to go back after items lost . And also keeps people from duping pledged items . I can tell you right now if it's blueprints every one is going to grind out and make 5 copies of there favorite armor to keep so they have backups
I just want it back period. Thanks Cam!
being allowed and enabled to steal entire ships but drawing the line at cosmetics is a weird take by some players.
i call them delusional
i was told this week by CIG concierge support not to rely on my buyback roster because everythings subject to change and they have the legal right not to honor buyback...CIG is not an ethical company at all *honestly I have been waiting for the inevitable lawsuit about lost subscriber gear/purchased gear
Sounds like BS.
Fully agree myself and everyone I know rarely use any of our items due to the chance of loosing it. At the very least have a 12-24hr claim timer on any account bound items. Boom duping now stops in mass.
I honestly just melt my armor when i die and cant get it back, and rebuy it again.
this is the way^
I will go and cancel my sub store until they get it sorted out
imagine paying for items only to have to "craft" them whenever you lose them by going on stupid errands.
Do yall hear yourselves? If ur in combat with another player org and u just respawn with armor and guns😂 u guys shit on the deva but ur worse
If looted/stolen, do 24 hr delay, then de-spawn and return.)
This solution is too complicated? de-spawn and return items on death/loss, leaving only regular items on the corpse.
Can’t believe it’s taken them so long to get item recovery implemented. Let’s us use our store bought stuff without worry!
4:00 exactly I have 2 sets and some weapons, but I always move in the default set since 3.14 too
Items sync isn’t hard and games have done that for decades.
You can even do a biometrics lock to make them not sellable or usable by others to fix dupe issues.
These guys are just dumb.
Yeah, real funny. The big laugh they had when asked. I, like many others, don't buy anymore. Bait & switch.
The incompetence is insane, people melt those things, you'll never gonna be able to use them. 3:56 so true!
They need to be taken out of business.
The confidence in that body language speaks volumes lol 😂
How about add a transmog system for subscriber gear only applicable to the correstponding armor class light, medium, heavy, clothing etc done
I have a set of armor with LTI. (It came with my Talon LTI token.)
I only run about in my space suit now lol dont bother with flair shit tbh xD
Yup, that's the safest thing to do. Don't buy ANYTHING.
Making shit up as they go along, with no clear "comprehensive design document" or anything the like whatsoever.
Its because they just thought of it right then abd there.
Why not make it a skin you apply to the item so if you die you you get thr skin back and just have ti buy the item back in game
They will string you along until funding dries up and do a classic rugpull.

I'd support account-binding, but sounds like CIG has taken to copying EVE's mechanics these day.
@Camural see how eve works. Noone use rare and unique ships!
Noone will use unique things or ships. They will be stuck Forever in someone hangar.
Why can't they do like.y glasses I dye I get them back on my now live body or in inventory.. a set also remains on body I've noticed
Have a friend know you out, loot your armor. Claim armor at the kiosk. Legitimate salvage. Repeat.

Character reset worked fine... Bring it back! There is little to no strain on a server with it implemented.. Might be untrue their statements about impact caused by character reset on back end.. lies... just so you cannot get your gear back is what it is.. And get back in servers when you are shard locked.. its evil..
The fix for sub flair is so obviously easy... make them skins you apply to items you own.

Woooo shoutout to SCUM!!! Hidden gem!
I agree. No crafting was one of the reasons I got involved in this game.
They always stumble over themselves to put a simple solution behind a complex system, and always use that as an excuse for not having working basics in the 13th year even after they've spent multiples of a normal game budget. Here we are with a barely functional barebones mess with very superficial game play when you're not falling through the planet.
Way to make most boring and pointless multiplayer space game.
if looted it should just give the looter the base set of what ever they looted or base armor if the particular set is special...
why not have it kinda like tarkov . you die (purchaed items you claim in your hanger for and they are 24hr delayed which removes the original from game) for anyone stealing from your body will see a item mark like a tick for example that basically means they are pledge so you know you will loose it after 24hrs
When a person who normally doesnt stutter , suddenly stutters its an indication he is lying. What the matter Lando , the lies getting to you.?
Also looks like youve been digging into the comfort food, things not so sunny at BS headquarters anymore ?
i wonder what happened to their idea of "star citizen is for everyone, even family-people who don't have much time". this full-loot always-pvp-bullshit doesn't reflect that at all and currently i'm just hoping someone builds a game like SC but as singleplayer. i don't mean squadron with that. i want the trading, the mining etc
my brand new copied account is still missing paints and old gear.
But when it comes to item recovery and payout balancing, it's "we can't have exploits!"
smoke and more smoke cig
I guess it will be much cheaper to simply buy a new one from npc instead of crafting it with recources -.-
It's a shame that there will not be an option to get it for free with a certain cooldown when lost -.-
