The only thing I don't like about the Perseus is its price at $675, but I got mine for $305. Which I think is a way better price for what it offers, so I can't complain there.
It looks cooler, I like top bridges, and big guns are cooler than missiles. I also like more manageable (smaller) ships, because realistically what if someone needs to run to the other side of the ship to put out a fire (by the time this is actually out that'll probably be an issue)
polaris is just too big for me, I like the hammerhead's size, but it requires so many people that there's no reason for me to have it, the perseus however is on my radar
The Percy is probably going see a lot more action. Most people can get together with just a small group of friends which has got to better suited to the Percy. My buddy has one and we can literally put 4 people together at best. It'll be a lot cheaper to operate too
I originally was going to draw the line at crew requirements with the Perseus, also at size, the polaris it more of a big group / clan / org ship in my opinion, people still thinking they can daily drive it solo, I highly doubt it it will be so with the final balance changes, a lot of ships require crew to get the most benefit out of a ship, think perseus, hammerhead, carrack, redeemer, starlancer, hurricane, the list goes on, even the industrial ships, the more potential power a ship has, the more crew it requires. The only reason I still have the Perseus and Carrack is because the perseus is original concept and the Carrack being a red alert variant, for most of it I actually removed everything larger, I was going to draw the line the 600i which had enough firepower for the pilot but after the rework also enough utlity (essentially a smaller carrack), but engineering made me rethink a lot of what I'd want. I'm now at the point where I only pick ships that I can utilize most of myself, so fighters (gladius, vanguard, ares, hornet) perhaps I'll get a hurricane again because I also still have a gladiator which also requires crew for the turret, albeit it there it's an extra instead of a neccesaty. If I could get a refund on both the Polaris, Perseus and Carrack I would, and then just be a gunner for someone else's Zeus, I'd stick with the andromeda as my biggest ship and the handful of fighters on the side. To reword it, the only reason I still have them is cause otherwise it would just be store credit sitting in my account.
Had an opportunity to try out Polaris against an Idris. I cannot over emphasize how important it is to scour the hull off PDS to nuke it. Being this is the case, I see Perseus fighting with that doctrine in mind. Turret gunners murder PDS with the heavy bespoke ballistic cannons as the pilot waits for opportunity to dump a hot load of torpedoes. Not necessarily against capital ships, but against all ships really. Way I see Polaris now is that the trick to using it is working out how to bring those torpedoes to bear and you have many ways to go about it with your crew from just having tons of snub fighters where pilot respawns on medbed to pick up a replacement craft every time they go down, to trying to slug it out. Perseus only has one choice. You slug it out and go for throat like a nanny dog who smelled an unsupervised infant.
once capital ships are a little more present in the verse, people will realize that sticking in a formation and allow the PDS to overlap its fields of fire, missiles and torps will be more of a first strike with fighters type of weapon, as fighters die off, the big guns will be doing more of the damage. so moving ships into and out of LOS of enemy guns depending on shield levels and damage will be a capital tactic. fighter tactics against a fleet of capitals will be hard to win. remember, capital ships are going to be flying bricks.
im still rocking the Perseus hands down. its not as big of a ship to maintain and less players to get to max firepower. i know the polaris will have more "fire power" per player. but its whole draw is torps. and thats not going to be a end all be all. you fire a torp and win. its going to be slow like the a2 bomb and we just going to shoot them down. i can counter your big torp with a little bike just camping you waiting for a torp. and what happens when you run out of torps? you lose so much fire power. over half
thats a valid point, im still rocking the Perseus though but it is nice to see they did make the Polaris into an actual capital ship and and just not a big fat Retaliator
The S10 torpedos will likely 1 hit cripple a Perseus, if not outright KO. You can hide with a bike nearby if you want, but the Polaris is covered in quad S4 guns and PDS now, plus however many fighters u cram in the hangers. A Polaris will just bum rush a Perseus, and at close range let off 4 S10s. Even 1 gets through and you're toast. Perseus only has 2 defensive turrets, and lower front is a blind-ish spot. When all guns are trying to stop the torps, the Polaris rolls by and pummels you with S6 guns and missiles before it passes. Rinse and repeat. The only trick the Perseus has is maaaaaaybe operating as a standoff sniper vs hammerheads so fighters can get close to bigger ships. 1 v 1 pre-engineering the Polaris is simply too much of a brawler, especially considering the blind spots of the Perseus S7 guns.
@marcuswynn89 that's only sorta true. My torps gotta catch you. And my S6 can shoot at your engines. And the Polaris is already expected to be the faster capital ship. And I can send something like a Scorpius Antares to EMP you....
@@foxhoundusmc Perseus is a tank. Its armor is said to be able to sustain S6 guns to the face. Even though the Perseus is smaller than the Polaris, it has much more armor. The Polaris is mostly shield.
People keep forgetting that the Polaris SCM is over 200 m/s. Read it. The Polaris is as fast as a fighter. There is no strafing this ship. Catching up to it will be HARD. Running away from it is not a thing. Idris killing technique: Go at the Idris at full speed. Tank the 1 railgun round it will shoot with the Polaris capital shields. and At 1 km, dump 4 torp in the Idris face. If the Idris is not in full battle mode with manned turrets and escort fighters in flight, it will die.
@@Derzull2468 It is absolutely happening. If a 'small org idris' is operating and not prepared at all and get blindsided by 4 size 10 torpedos they deserve that loss. A prepared 'small org idris' will never lose to a lone Polaris, those torps will get shot down and the Polaris will never win a straight up brawl with an Idris without torps touching. This is kind of the entire point of the balancing of the ships. They are not meant to do the same thing and be 1-1 equal to each other. They both have entirely separate use cases. The Idris is a brawler, the Polaris is an assassin. The Polaris has to catch the Idris off guard and delete it to win. The Idris just has to be prepared for the initial strike in order to win. Similarly, a solo'ed Idris with its railgun could likely kill the hell out of a solo or even manned Polaris that is unprepared and eats a free railgun shot or two. This is how combat should work no? That whoever gets the jump is more likely to win? What about this above scenario is "not happening" to you? We also still have no idea if the Polaris will need a dedicated torp operator or not, the Idris as "pilotable" now currently enables the pilot to have control of the railgun.
They seemes to have been working on the Polaris for years and the Perseus is expected to have a single year dev time. It is pretty obvious which one is getting more love from papa CIG.
Thats because the Perseus will get a lot of the same assets from the Polaris. So in a sense, they devloped the Perseus at the same time as the Polaris, they just need to put the package together
My first thought when I hear “hundreds of Furies” is, who the hell will want to risk his life flying them? Isn’t Death of a Spaceman a thing? Those things are death traps.
PDCs which are standard on capital ships, can easily take out torpedoes since they're slow. You need a combined force to lower the shields, take out the PDCs, then pound it with torpedoes.
I foresee Capitol size torpedoes moving faster than people realize. I could be wrong but I bet they’re gonna be a lot faster than the Retaliators torpedo. Can’t wait to see it up close 😅
The issue the Perseus is gonna have against the Polaris its health compared to the Polaris. While it has heavy armor for a sub cap it’s probably gonna struggle at best alone, not having capital class armor is gonna be a problem.
Okay, before I finish the video: Hot take: Do you want to be effective with a crew of 3, or 6? Do you want a bigger Redeemer or a bigger Carrack? That's how you answer which is best for you. Everything right now, engineering, weapon power, balance, will all change. But the roles and crew needs will not (save NPC AI you can hire, maybe). Things like torpedo speeds and effectiveness will all change. For a little more: Now really is NOT the time to be theorycrafting on which ship is best. The only thing you can count on is ship roles. And even those might shift a little. Imagine how you would like to play the game, focus on what style of combat appeals to you, and get a ship that matches that. Even if it seems to suck right now. CIG has done a very good job iterating on everything over time and tweaking things to make the game fun. But a lot of systems haven't even been added to the game, so some stuff will just suck or be unbalanced until all the systems get in and can get tested and balanced out. It will be a long time. Or if you really want, buy the best ship for your style as the game is right now. Just be ready to melt it and buy something new every couple months, and be prepared to spend a lot more money to chase the meta until things settle a few years from now. Buy the Polaris to zoom around and enjoy the new hotness. Then when the Percy comes out, melt the Polaris and get the Percy and have fun zooming around and going pewpew. Problem solved.
I like the idea of using the smaller torpedo ships to attack and occupiing the idris to make room for the polaris to strike. But there is a different option. Hammerheads. Can be equipped wit 8x S5 scimitar smissles almost same dmg then the stalker S5 torps. And it is designed to fight fighters. Would be a nice addition to the attack fleet but need even more people at least 5 ( 1 pilot and 4 gznners for the sides ). If you have less people the Connie Andromeda could also ve usefull. Floating in a bit of distance and bombard the idris with rattlers II missles. The cluster missles could clutter up the gunners hud with tons of red icons so they dont know what to shoot first and also confusing the PDTs cause they have to deal with all the cluster missles. Chaos and Confusion are old and very effective war strategys. O7
@@marcuswynn89 Thats why i recommended the Rattlers II. Cause Each of those Rattlers is loaded with 8 little missles and if you fire 4 x 8 = 32 mini missles that should block the PDT´s. Would need some testing to actually see if that works but in theory the PDT´s fire at the first missle that is in range. So maybe a rattler volley or 2 should be enough to occupy the PDT´s long enough. As said. maybe a thing to test out :)
The Perseus and Polaris are designed to work together if you look from a naval point of view. Especially in a fleets. The Polaris is at low crew ship sure soloing no
I love both ships and thats why slowly, over the years, I put enough money into the game to finally own both of them. A Capital Ship plus a Capital Hunter. Its the ultimate combination. By the way since you dont know cargo very well - The Polaris's cargo capacity is not surprising - in either a good or bad way. Its pretty much exactly what you would expect. Ill run you through some ships to give you an idea of what big cargo haulers can do. Caterpillar - 576; C2 Hercules - 696; IronClad Assault - 1,152; IronClad Cargo - 1,536; Merchantman - 2,880; Hull C - 4,608; Hull E - 98,304. Ya, the Hull E is rediculous lol
Hammerhead, Perseus and Polaris are three different types of combat ships. Only one is a capital ship with a dedicated purpose, the other two are sub-capitals, also with their own narrow focus on exactly one job. Hammerhead: area-of-denial ship against fighters. Currently not working at its full potential, it is a game changer in space combat if you bring one to support your fighter squadron. Requires a crew of 7 to be used properly (pilot, 6 gunners) and may require two more players once engineering gameplay is implemented. Perseus: heavy gunship with capital-class weaponry. The Perseus will be a deadly ship versus medium to large ships and, if used in groups, also may take down capital ships. It's main purpose however is to escort other capital ships for extra firepower, including the Polaris. Comes with a very small crew of 5 for now. May require 2 more players once engineering gameplay is a thing. Polaris: capital ship and a dedicated anti-capital ship platform. S10 torpedoes are big damage dealers versus capital ships, while everything else provided as armament is meant to deal with smaller ships. Requires a ton of players to operate at all. Skeleton crew is perhaps like 10 players, but you may require up to 20 to man every turret, provide some protection against boarding and again, engineering gameplay will come with its own requirements. I have all three in my hangar for the very reason each ship has its own identity and place in any given fleet or small scale engagement. It depends on the mission what ship I'll pick.
I think once the game is more finished it will all come down to manpower. 20 players in a polaris could be used to crew 3 Perseus, wich would melt the Polaris
@@494Farrell That could've been a slip of the tongue if they are decided to upsize the Perseus to be bigger and deadlier, just like they made the current Polaris bigger, deadlier, and an actual Capital ship vs its original concept as a sub-capital.
I'm impatient to see what the Perseus will be 🤩 But, if you comper a 100 people fleet VS 30 people fleet of course it will not be fare from the star, at least VS 60 it will😁
Interesting perspective. I think it depends on a variety of factors which ship you prefer. I have both and will adapt it to the respective gameplay. It probably won't always be easy to fully man a Polaris. Both ships are very effective, especially in fleet formations, and have both advantages and disadvantages. But in the end it's probably a shame. Thanks for the great video and keep it up. Greetings from Switzerland.
3:59 Agree that ideally you'd want to launch a torp as late as possible... BUT, let's not forget these aren't rockets/missiles and not quite as easily evaded... Not sure how they work right now, but they have worked like that in the past AND cig mentioned it also. So the Eclipse is really the only ship I can think of right now, where that's intended behavior, everything else is meant to rely on the torps being good.
I can see the polaris being more on the outskirts of battle, waiting for perfect moment to rush in, shoot torps and get the hell out of there as fast as possible.
100 furys... 100 players+14 players or at least 6 or 8 players in the polaris then 1 player in every torp ship... that is a lot of people with a single objective. All that coordination its pretty difficult. That is the same reason i still prefer the perseus. Dont misunderstand me... the polaris is a tremendous ship but its also i think an organization ship. So for a ship that i gonne to use frequently i think that the perseus has more chances. Its easier pick 3 or 4 friends and coordinate them than 6, 8, 14 or more (counting the fighter pilots inside) And i dont wanna talk about economy but for sure the polaris will be expensive. A lot more than a perseus. Any way there is no way to compare these two but if a had to choose... perseus is my answer. And something else. While the Polaris has a decent load capacity, those who think they can use it to transport any type of cargo keep in mind that wherever they go they will be seen as a threat... and that doesn't exactly mean they will be avoided. There are those who will try to "eliminate" said threat to continue with their quiet affairs. It happened to me just a few days ago, I arrived at a mission and there was a Polaris and a few hundred meters away a landed Argo. As soon as we arrived the argo took off. Normally I would have ignored her and let her go, 99.9% of the time I don't attack anyone unless they attack me first... but being a polaris one doesn't have that luxury, much less trust oneself. I really liked the video, I love the polaris but I wanted to shed a little light on the reality of what the polaris represents.
With people I prefer the Polaris, with a theoretical AI/Blade crew I prefer the Perseus. The Perseus just feels like it would be agile enough to enjoy flying while still being powerful.
Kinda wild how engineering is kinda a dreaded update for the entire community with with "we'll be able to have fun with such and such ship until enginerring then it will be to much of a pain to run and scrounge people together all the time" etc. Makes me think they gotta re think it significantly since everyone is basically trying to get there last bit of fun in before engineering. That's just.......not right

Great video but it does remind me how much the fury MX annoys me instead of adding all of the missiles they should have just loaded up a few torpedoes instead
I hope they stick to actually making a size 7 gun for the perseus. Feel like knowing CIG they will just slap the size 6 from the polaris onto the perseus and call it a day.
I hope they revert the dumb idea of making it bespoke. We dont know what the meta will be, imagine its a bespoke laser weapon but then ballistics ends up being better or something
To different roles... Perseus is a slow, very heavy armored escort ship that punches up in class. The Polaris is a small agile Cap ship with recon and light strikes, until they sort it all out no one really knows tho. Just what we have been told. Enjoy any ship you want and have fun in the verse.

I have the Perseus and Polaris, but I am also sitting on a hammerhead and CCU from hammer to Polaris.. so my choice is do I just up the hammerhead into a 2nd Polaris 😅
I dont understand why people arent excited for multicrew combat ships. Just because you dont make money? Even dualing hammer heads and stuff is super fun. Polaris and perseus are gonna be awesome
I feel like the polaris will be a good escort ship that can fill the rôle of capital ship for smaller patrol. The perseus will shine as a destroyer, but will need an escort.
I think the Perseus will still be a great escort ship as with a min of 3 crew you have a pretty good weapons platform and in order to get the same relative firepower you would need 4 crusader Ares Star fighters. Combat wise you can bring most of the Polaris guns to bare with about 5 people and it lists 6 as a min with a max of 14. But the Polaris is a much bigger ship, and has allot going on even without engineering. It will be interesting to see if the Polaris can punch down with its torps or if its more for strikes against Destroyers and up depending on the speed and agility of the torps the idris might be small enough to dodge them most times, making the smaller torps more effective and with 20 size 5's, more agility and 4 size 7 weapons the Perseus with 3 people might be more effective even if it is meant to be be gears towards corvettes and other large but non-capital class ships. Still waiting to see the finished product but I like the improvements down to the Polaris.
I think Polaris could punch down to sub capitals with its torps, it’d only take 1 to either severely damage or destroy a hammerhead or Perseus. Polaris is faster than Perseus (currently) so a torpedo drive by at point blank would be doable, and devastating.
@@User-gx3sr I would be surprised if the Polaris is faster than the smaller and lighter Perseus but hopefully the Polaris will be able to debut this year and give us some idea's on how the larger torps work. I know compared to a size 5 the 9's are not very nimble and it can be tricky to land a hit on corvettes with them so depending on how much different the larger Polaris torps are I guess we will see and of course, subject to change and there are not many missions at this time where capital ship combat even comes into play.
the Perseus need more small turrets or maybe a pds system to protect itself, the armor and main guns are fine, no problem there, the torpedoes ... well maybe a one size up, but not needed THAT much honestly, just the small anti-fighters / anti-ordnance turrets aren't enough the bottom one should be moved in the front, under the point of the nose
I think the Perseus will be more effective in direct combat, and the Polaris will be the better patrol ship ambush and multi-roll. so if I know I am going directly into a big fight maybe the perseus if I am unsure what I am getting into then the polaris. Think the pursius will be much harder to kill of the 2 in a sustained fight. but that is all speculation.
all idris models will be released at the same time the javelin will come after that. also you could show up with 100 furries landed in the bay and another 100 hovering above them giving you 200 furries inside the idris.
Bud the Idris M is owned by players right now. Original backers who purchased it way back when own its. Its currently included in the $15,000 pledge pack.
According to a leak , the Polaris mght have automatic AI guns. If the s10 torp is slower than the s9 torp, will be a joke, as will have a speed under 120m/s, With a minimumum lock distance of 5km for launching, it will take 50 secs or so to reach a stationary target , the target can simnply shoot them down or run away at scm speed. Countersmeasures can also be used on torps. From their initial tactical over view, the Polaris would go in fast , launch torps, get distance, reload, rinse and repeat. But this is pointless as cant launch below 5km, the torps (and all missiles) ignore launching ship speed and go straight down to their max speed, not hitting nything trvelling faster , even if launched right behind them at the same speed. Aswell as missiles beiong totallyunrelistic , big ships have no armor to absorb blows of light fighters.
You can dumb fire torpedoes. And if the torpedos drop down to a slower speed than the Polaris that launches them, won’t they simply blow up the Polaris right on launch? 😂
I think that the Forward facing firepower on the Poly is more than the Percy. The Capital shield and upgunned nature i believe will give the polaris a "higher" total "Health" pool, even in the future when the Armor gets added. Assuming the bespoke x4 size 7 guns on the Percy aren't completely nuts in terms of raw DPS. POLY has: 1 x S6 frontal, x2 Quad Size 4, x2 quad size 3 turrets facing forward. Just seems to me like quite a bit / maybe even more than a Percy's total dmg. Potential facing forward. Im just speculating tho .... Lets hope CIG does not fuq em both up in the future.

@foxhoundusmc it’s gotta catch me first
@marcuswynn89 that's only sorta true.
Your scenario would mean a single person flying a Polaris all alone can destroy a small org in an Idris in one pass. Not happening.
@@Derzull2468 yeap, that's just copium, that would essentially be p2w.
@@castlewhale4746 That's what you told yourself when you bought one?
@@Derzull2468the Polaris pilot can not control the torpedos. It requires a dedicated person at the torpedo console.
Great video. On the Idris M, John Crewe did mention at citcon last year that the M,P and K hit would all drop at the same time when SQ42 drops.
Can’t wait to see it up close 😅
lol that wouldn’t make too much sense
I've got both! though the I'm looking to use the Polaris more like a Mobile Base and the Perseus as a coop ship for events with friends
with them saying the s6 guns on the Polaris being able to kill cap ship and the Perseus with s7 i think Perseus will be able to kill Polaris easy
That’s what I’m thinking
@@marcuswynn89 and you can have 2 Perseus for same crew as 1 Polaris
@emu1113 it’s always better to bring more DPS
The issue the Perseus is gonna have against the Polaris its health compared to the Polaris. While it has heavy armor for a sub cap it’s probably gonna struggle at best alone, not having capital class armor is gonna be a problem.
@@justbuyintime5157 yes but with s7 ballistic cannons i think you can kill the main s6 gun and with just s4 i dont think it will have the dps
Okay, before I finish the video:
Hot take: Do you want to be effective with a crew of 3, or 6?
The problem is the torps are still too slow though the pdt will reload by the time the S10’s get close
CIG did confusingly call the perseus a cap ship when they announced it as the next ship in development.
I'm impatient to see what the Perseus will be 🤩
But, if you comper a 100 people fleet VS 30 people fleet of course it will not be fare from the star, at least VS 60 it will😁
Me too I just hope it ain’t slow
They need to make ships with smaller radars harder to detect missiles and torpedoes especially at longer ranges like a real radar.
Never buy a ship that is not in the work. Its a good advice.
I like the 30km first strike opportunity.
Who will fly those Furys? Surely for the same number of people you can crew multiple Polaris ships
I can see the polaris being more on the outskirts of battle, waiting for perfect moment to rush in, shoot torps and get the hell out of there as fast as possible.
Got both ships and have friend and Family to fly these at the same time.. But these thing will be server killers.
Definitely got the Perseus, I wish to fly in glorious fleet v fleet combat with my fellow nomads! Never forget Worlds Adrift!
I got the perseus and the merchantman. Dont know yet how im going to play it ill need an org someday
you can join the Valoriant empire! Its the org im in
With people I prefer the Polaris, with a theoretical AI/Blade crew I prefer the Perseus. The Perseus just feels like it would be agile enough to enjoy flying while still being powerful.
Listed scm speed is 92m/s
Kinda wild how engineering is kinda a dreaded update for the entire community with with "we'll be able to have fun with such and such ship until enginerring then it will be to much of a pain to run and scrounge people together all the time" etc. Makes me think they gotta re think it significantly since everyone is basically trying to get there last bit of fun in before engineering. That's just.......not right

Team Perseus here😊
Great video but it does remind me how much the fury MX annoys me instead of adding all of the missiles they should have just loaded up a few torpedoes instead
I hope they stick to actually making a size 7 gun for the perseus. Feel like knowing CIG they will just slap the size 6 from the polaris onto the perseus and call it a day.
Man I hope not
I hope they revert the dumb idea of making it bespoke. We dont know what the meta will be, imagine its a bespoke laser weapon but then ballistics ends up being better or something
They should pull the size 7 from the javelin and use that, size 3 guns on top included.
I couldn't choose so now i have 2 of both i like the low crew count of the perseus but the polaris being a cap now makes it far more interesting to me
To different roles... Perseus is a slow, very heavy armored escort ship that punches up in class. The Polaris is a small agile Cap ship with recon and light strikes, until they sort it all out no one really knows tho. Just what we have been told. Enjoy any ship you want and have fun in the verse.

I dont understand why people arent excited for multicrew combat ships. Just because you dont make money?
Even dualing hammer heads and stuff is super fun. Polaris and perseus are gonna be awesome
The problem with multicrew ships is they are easily killed by a single seat fighter
i think if i need a fleet to fight a idris. why not just bring another idris
Thought the perseus was bigger. Maybe it gets a size increase
They both look awesome. If I had the money I would just buy both 😂
I feel like the polaris will be a good escort ship that can fill the rôle of capital ship for smaller patrol.
I know compared to a size 5 the 9's are not very nimble and it can be tricky to land a hit on corvettes with them so depending on how much different the larger Polaris torps are I guess we will see and of course, subject to change and there are not many missions at this time where capital ship combat even comes into play.
the Perseus need more small turrets or maybe a pds system to protect itself, the armor and main guns are fine, no problem there, the torpedoes ... well maybe a one size up, but not needed THAT much honestly, just the small anti-fighters / anti-ordnance turrets aren't enough
the bottom one should be moved in the front, under the point of the nose
I think the Perseus will be more effective in direct combat, and the Polaris will be the better patrol ship ambush and multi-roll. so if I know I am going directly into a big fight maybe the perseus if I am unsure what I am getting into then the polaris. Think the pursius will be much harder to kill of the 2 in a sustained fight. but that is all speculation.
Where does 1 million dps for the turret come from? I seriously doubt the turrret does that. Probably less than 10k

Two of my favorite speculative ships.
The only thing keeping me from the Perseus is a med bed and cost factor between the two. This doesn't make sense from a metrics standpoint.
Why not get a medical rover for a med bed?
@DemiGod.. you can, but I feel it should be standard for that size classification.
I played a few hours with te Polaris, Turrets are terrible in the Polaris and the ship is bad in PVE against a few small ships.
Just ram whatever ship there is right now, in game, with the Polaris, at full speed, instead of using torps. it's gonna survive anyway.
I'm still choosing Zeus over both ;)
Zeus is trash lol
I've also heard the same rumor about fully automated point defense turrets but for the perseus.
You can dumb fire torpedoes. And if the torpedos drop down to a slower speed than the Polaris that launches them, won’t they simply blow up the Polaris right on launch? 😂
How are you guys feeling about funding these ships. What’s more profitable slavage / mining / trade? Or is it constantly changing
Crafting and extraction
The Perseus will change too in design.
I’m sure it will hoping it gets at least one PDS
its crazy the is no enemy for the polaris if it comes out
Lets see what they do with the Perseus, maybe they upgun it to s9 and it might grow like 20-40 meter.
In a head to head battle, the Perseus will get SMOKED!
depends opn the toprs hiting . Just now they travel slower than SCM speed and need 5km+ launching distance
Im just speculating tho ....

so pretty much the same but adding a couple size 3s on top? i would like that
I am EXTREMELY disappointed that I will not see the Galaxy in game any time soon. The reality is it might be several more years before we see the Galaxy flying. This is getting ridiculous now to the point that I think Chris needs to be removed as managing director. But that is a separate issue. I'm focusing now on the Perseus because I think it would make a cool pirate ship. Supposedly, we will see the Perseus soon in 2025. With the way things are going though, we'll be lucky if we even see the Perseus in Star Citizen.
