The most beautiful Caddy ever made in my humble opinion. I was actually invited to the NYC unveiling because I was going to buy one until I found out the price. If GM came with a base model starting at 50K there would be hundreds of thousands in garages today,

I've been driving an ELR every day for almost 3 years. Nearly all my commute is on electric. My electric is cheap and I get free charges when I can. I got mine with 32,000 miles for less than 25% of the sticker price. It's a good way to relax in bad traffic because it just is a chill drive. Active noise cancellation helps.

"No, hold mode won't hold you any closer". LOL! 🎶 As Elton John sang, "Hold me closer Tony Danza..." 🎶
I use "hold mode" all the time for 10 yrs in my now 150k mi Volt to optimize range. As far as I've seen this is the most well-engineered drivetrain on any car I've ever seen and it's sad that GM couldn't market these properly to communicate its benefits, besides your valid point about pricing. Seen nothing as good on the market since they were discontinued.

Have 10-20k saved for battery replacement and other fixes. Ive seen between 15-20k and read of 2 guys who purchased around that price and within 300 miles had to replaced battery quoted at 20k. But im pretty sure u can find refurbished around 10k or new 15k non-dealership. Used hybrid/electric cars is rarely a great buy because of this.
