I bought the 17 on 01/01/23 and cooked no less than 15 meals on it. Today is 13 days later and I just ordered the 22. I love this griddle. Note: I sold the 17 to a friend today to recoup some cash and I am sure he will love it.
How long does it take to preheat up to 450?
I got a 17” e series recently in part because of your videos. I have used it every day since I got it. Thanks for the videos!
Mine will be delivered tomorrow. I'm so excited! Thanks for taking the time to show us not only the unboxing and cook, but seeing it in different locations give me ideas and a better perspective. Would LOVE to win that 17" for my RV!!! Great video.
THANKS!!! I was hoping you guys would appreciate the diff looks 🙌🏾
Nice video Doug. I just bought a 17" for my daughter to use in her apartment, then saw your video. Given the space she has, the 17" might still be the best size for her. Word of caution.... Use a properly rated extension cord (or best, none at all) when using appliances that have a constant high amperage draw (typically those that generate heat). They can melt the cord and cause a fire.
Another great looking and great performing Blackstone griddle. That two zone cooking is a game changer.
🙌🏾
Just received this as a house warming gift 🎁. I am so excited 😊
great video, super helpful on helping me make my decision before buying one to take on the road with me!. thanks Doug!
Yeah Doug, you did that, Full meal all in one shot. You rock!
Doug, the 22" is much more impressive than I imagined! You definitely don't need a stove. Mmm...I could smell that glorious food. Thanks for sharing 💯
💌❤🥰😚🙌🏾😍
King Doug Of Air Fryers 😊👍
🙌🏾❤💌☺
Thanks for sharing. I like this griddle because you can take it any where. All you need to cook outside your home is electric extension cord and for camping or tailgate all you need is a battery generator and the party continues. 😎😎😎😎
Doug you got me wanting one of these and making preparations for it right now! Thanks so much for showing us how to set up and work it!
dude these things are thee bomb! I have the steel version of the 22 and it's one of the best investments period!
Great information. I was really curious about the cart features, so thanks for showing that.
Thanks so much, I was hoping u guys would appreciate that
Awesome unboxing Doug. Your meal look delicious. Blessings
Thanks hun 💌❤🥰
Will be getting this soon, my only option for apartment patio. Looking forward to it
Me too 😆
@@raidergil6005 got mine today, looks great. Can't wait to use it.
Thanks Doug, I will be getting one of these soon.
excellent review and demo.. I want one.. i am gonna get rid of my propane griddle.
I knew you would love it !! So impressed with your video of it !! Had to take a sec and pause watching it so I could leave a comment. Since you are now experienced at putting the cart together, to save my hubby some headaches, I will gladly let you assemble my cart. ;-) Thanks again for the video and your time making it Doug ! I completely agree with your comments on the griddles. I plan on keeping the 17 and the 22. I admit the 17 did get booted to the dining room when the 22 arrived tho but it is not heavy to move so all is good. lol Sincerely, Sharon Heart
😂😆🤣💌🙌🏾
I just got the 17 inch one....hard to find! Nice cook Doug!
I just bought the 22 inch. I have been wanting one of these for years!! Very difficult to find. Can’t wait to use it!
Now that's some good looking dinner !
Great vid..very helpful…I was on the fence but you convinced me to get one 👍🏻
Hi Doug! You sold me, and I bought it. What was the little stopper that you were using to keep things from sliding out of the back? Where can I get one?
Doug, whenever you have dual zones, they split the wattage not to exceed, in this case 1600 watts. 800 w 800w, or 1200w 400w, and so on. usually applies to 110/ 15 amp circuits.
Ahhhhhhhh...ok (that's kinda a bummer)
Wow.. Nice griddle. 🤗🙃😎 Food looks delicious 😋.
❤💌🥰😘
Loving this video you beat me to it mine will be here tomorrow stay doing it big
Ok I think I need this e series in my life. 😊
Dude thank you for the stopper tip. That was my only complaint with the drip hole being so huge.
Man I got the 17 when the 22 was out of stock, I wanted that cart!!
dude the 22 is the way to go! I feel like the 17 is just too small. the 22 is great for a family of 4. I have a buddy that has the 28 and tbh it's too much, unless you are going to be feeding 8 people or more everytime you turn it on
Woohoo! I get mine delivered tomorrow. Can't wait.
Nice thorough review brother! I just picked one of these up at Walmart last week and absolutely love it. Was just surfing through some videos related to this particular griddle and come across your channel good job.
Thank you. Great job.
Aluminum throw away pans fit in grease pan easy to clean more time for a cold one btw I have the out door propane grill model
This is so funny to me. I just bought this machine and made I exact same meal....
WOW
I just got one . What are those hooks on the back leg for ?? Is a paper towel holder ?
I see you got the Bertello Pizza oven! Thought you didn’t believe in them…lol….hope you make videos using it. The 22 inch Blackstone is awesome…have to get me one! Thanks for the video!
I didnt, but I figured why not try lol I can use propane charcoal, or wood....sounds like fun 🤷🏾♂️
It is amazing…love mine! Use propane and wood at the same time, holds temp that way and tastes amazing! Have fun with yours! 😊❤️
Do you still like it? It looks amazing!!!
Love it
Very nice! I really like the size!❤️❤️
Would have got the 22in over the 17in if it was for sale back when the 17 came out I could use the cart only place I can use the 17 in the kitchen is right next to the sink the lid hits the cabinet so I still have never used the lid which is fine but the cart if it was smaller for the 17 and foldable would be an awesome addition nice vid look forward to more cooks on this and you might need a bigger shed or house the kitchen gadget collection is growing rapidly lol
You're right about the cart. I had no trouble once I figured out that you had to slide 3 nuts into the appropriate slots on each leg. And they have to be at the proper heights for the corresponding holes. The directions were not clear on this. Once I had that taken care of .. no problem with the rest. Also I noticed that the bottom of your tray has a broken spot. Was that there when you bought it?
Can you change the self or get another shelf
My question is, how sturdy is the cart? If I'm making smash burgers, will I need to be concerned for the cart over time?
Hi Doug I'm wondering if you still use this grill, I had never heard of it but am considering it?
I still use it, I will be doing a video using soon too
@@COOKINGWITHDOUG thanks I’ll be looking for it
Thank for the great review. I noticed the digital temp gauges were in mirror image. Bad ergonomics. Harder to read. Not here but huge mirrored electronic panels brought us 3-Mile Island.
Where do you get to flapper at? For the Blackstone
Great review...I will have to try that combination of foods...made my mouth water to watch! Can you share where you purchased the stainless steel topped folding table you had next to your grill (in between the grill and your outdoor storage unit made by Keter @18:48 in the video) I need one of those!
Thanks so much 😊
Stainless steel portable table

You have to keep the lid close the temp stay up
Can u put a link where to get that stopper pls. Love the video
🤷🏾It was already in the description
But here ya go
flat cutter/stopper
amzn.to/3yg5YCk
Ooooh! I so want one!!!
Does it sear ? Let’s say for a steak ?
Yum!! Thanks!
Is the cart worth it or should I just stick with the griddle
The cart comes with it, the question is DO YOU need to use it
More please 💥💥💥💥💥
Where do I buy that stopper....please
Great video !! Do you have to use oil when you cook on these ceramic coated griddles ? Thanks in advance
No
Did the stopper that you put into the grease slot come with the griddle or did you rig that up?
NO
I've been wanting to buy it, but did it come with the tools?
Just picked mine up from Walmart
Thx for Including the dimensions and wattage, was just trying to Google that and couldn’t find it.
I have 22" how do I get the prep cart it sits on brother?
How much smoke does it put off indoors?
I've had the 17-in for about 5 months, and the non-stick surface has already came off. I have only cleaned it with water and paper towel. I'm about to purchase the 22in soon, but I'm scared the same thing will happen to this.
My 17 nor my 22 EVER experienced what you just mentioned 🤷🏾♂️
@@COOKINGWITHDOUG I'm not sure what happened to mine then 😂
Where do you cook ur rice ?
I don't think Doug is much of a rice eater, but he also has the instant pot
Dope, dope and dope! Mmmm! 😋 🤩🤗
💌❤🥰🙌🏾
Hi Doug, love your videos. I cooked on my 22 e series yesterday for the first time. I put 4 almost thawed hamburger patties on it. I preheated to 500. I put the burgers on and the lines went down halfway and I took the temp and mostly around 300. Some spots were in the 200's. I got some searing but nothing like what I have watched on RUclips. Man is that normal? If not I will have to call Blackstone.
Thanks for the help
I know it’s been like 2 years. But do you still stand by the fact that the 17” won’t temp drop as much as the 22” does? I want to buy one of these for overlanding/car camping and don’t want the temp drop as I’ll be doing a lot of steak.
Dang just purchased the 17 in. I really like that cart and need it to put my griddle on. I cannot use the lid unless I cook on my kitchen table. But they want too much for the cart. I hear you don’t need the stand, so maybe you can sell it to me for a small purchase. Love your videos
I'm 22 and I never had ever wanted a big boy purchase until now
Mine came with some thing that they are calling a “rear brace“. It shows it in the parts list but doesn’t show you where it goes. It may somehow incorporate into the accessory rack but I’m not sure. Did you experience this?
I think I got the last 22 in from Walmart for $197, they are now $267. I received mine last
Tuesday.
Can u still close the lid with the grease stop inserted???
No :(
Do you use soap and water on the paper towel to clean it after each use or just water on the paper towel?
Just water and paper towel yes
Can you use cast iron cookware on Blackstone grill
Sure but why....just use your cast iron lol 🤷🏾♂️
I forgot to ask ya,,, after you have done your cook, how easy is it to do the cleanup on it??? do you just wipe it down and that's it ? or ........ do you remove the flat griddle part and wash it in the sink? What about your lid, do you remove it also and wash it under the sink as well ?????
Rewatch towards the end of the video because I show it being cleaned. Never in the history of appliances has ceramic been hard to clean and both griddle and cover can be removed a placed in your sink if u like
Hi.
Mine did not include the cutting board mentioned on the box...
Where did you get the grease hole blocker?
flat cutter/stopper
amzn.to/3yg5YCk
Thank you
Does the shelf on the prep cart fold down or slide in?
No..just a standard cart
@@COOKINGWITHDOUG Strange - I thought it did. Thank you.
It's not strange that a rolling cart does not collapse....MOVE ON WITH YOUR DAY!
@@COOKINGWITHDOUG FYI just watched another RUclips video showing the shelf does indeed fold down on the 22” E-series.
where can you get that grease stopper?
Nice 👍🏼
Good job bro
Do u have to use the e series spatulas or can I just buy the stainless steel ones?
Metal will DEFINITELY scratch ceramic, so no u don't have to use E-series but DEFINITELY something hard plastic or Silicone instead
All of a sudden my 8003 is displaying temps in Celsius - how do I go back to Fahrenheit?
Nice
How evenly does it cook? (on each 1/2 of course)
The grease catch pan can get knocked off pretty easily. I knocked mine off several times! Possibly a well placed stick on neodimmium magnet on the base will make it more knock proof...
I haven't had that problem 🤷🏾♂️
Doug, does this griddle automatically come with the rolling cart?
I would not use it
Yes the 22 inch does YES
It happens with them all! All brands
That’s awesome. Are you selling the 17?
As stated in the video a giveaway is coming, I don't need anybodys cash
What's your sister's social sauce lol I am planning on buying one now. Thanks for the review
Will the 17 inch fit this
U answer it thx u heard me lol
The side table/ledge most definitely goes down, you pick it up at a 45 degree angle and it will "unclip" pull out slightly and it will turn down.
I noticed that after the video, I'll just delete that part from the video but not really using the cart so me even putting it together was a courtesy
Question for you how do you deep clean the griddle?
🤷🏾♂️ Google it
We've used this griddler for a variety of items including steak, fish, vegetables ruclips.net/user/postUgkxMcXT6_MuT0hB3ejyGQQHaeof9bwoWPUf and mushrooms and it's been great! Gets that great smokey flavor when using high heat or sear. The grill works amazingly simple and very low smoke for what it is. Heat gets up fairly quick, especially on closed position. The griddler side is fairly simple, better for eggs and pancakes rather than any cooking. Use the flat plates with the grill side if needed.Cleanup is easy and having heat on both sides is great for cooking a large amount or panini press. This definitely gets hot though so be careful with the sides.
i will invest just because
Nice bro man n on sale now 169.99 Walmart
Word of caution. The 169.00 price is from third party sellers that charge extra (lots) for shipping. I have seen two different shipping prices so far from the third party sellers, $99.00 and $120.00. That makes it a lot more expensive. Walmart ships it for free at the 197.00 price.
@@pandora9693 169.99. But you have have it delivered just read it at the bottom it is Walmart brand.
@@markguy1914 Wow ! If you can get this just released 22 inch electric Blackstone griddle for 169.99 from Walmart without shipping costs and are in the market for this electric griddle, I highly recommend getting one, especially at that price. I love mine. I just received mine a couple days ago so I am not looking for one but thought maybe you were. I just didn't want any shipping surprises added to your cost. With Walmart sold out of them at the moment to ship to my area, the only other offers being shown to me from the Walmart site are from resellers and have shipping costs starting at 99.00. Enjoy it if you decide to buy one !! Happy cooking !!
Let’s just say “Slippery when wet” 😂
