I bought the 17 on 01/01/23 and cooked no less than 15 meals on it. Today is 13 days later and I just ordered the 22. I love this griddle. Note: I sold the 17 to a friend today to recoup some cash and I am sure he will love it.

Nice video Doug. I just bought a 17" for my daughter to use in her apartment, then saw your video. Given the space she has, the 17" might still be the best size for her. Word of caution.... Use a properly rated extension cord (or best, none at all) when using appliances that have a constant high amperage draw (typically those that generate heat). They can melt the cord and cause a fire.

Doug, whenever you have dual zones, they split the wattage not to exceed, in this case 1600 watts. 800 w 800w, or 1200w 400w, and so on. usually applies to 110/ 15 amp circuits.

You're right about the cart. I had no trouble once I figured out that you had to slide 3 nuts into the appropriate slots on each leg. And they have to be at the proper heights for the corresponding holes. The directions were not clear on this. Once I had that taken care of .. no problem with the rest. Also I noticed that the bottom of your tray has a broken spot. Was that there when you bought it?

Hi Doug, love your videos. I cooked on my 22 e series yesterday for the first time. I put 4 almost thawed hamburger patties on it. I preheated to 500. I put the burgers on and the lines went down halfway and I took the temp and mostly around 300. Some spots were in the 200's. I got some searing but nothing like what I have watched on RUclips. Man is that normal? If not I will have to call Blackstone.

We've used this griddler for a variety of items including steak, fish, vegetables ruclips.net/user/postUgkxMcXT6_MuT0hB3ejyGQQHaeof9bwoWPUf and mushrooms and it's been great! Gets that great smokey flavor when using high heat or sear. The grill works amazingly simple and very low smoke for what it is. Heat gets up fairly quick, especially on closed position. The griddler side is fairly simple, better for eggs and pancakes rather than any cooking. Use the flat plates with the grill side if needed.Cleanup is easy and having heat on both sides is great for cooking a large amount or panini press. This definitely gets hot though so be careful with the sides.
