You had me going for about 15 seconds. The Oscar goes to MCP! Very important info. Clinching a heavy pipe fatigues my jaw. And they can slip and fall out of your mouth and hit the ground. Full bent pipes are easier to clinch than straight pipes for you beginners. Thanks MCP! I always clinch on the Right. Guess I am a natural. Hope you are well!
I started with pipes only about 10 years ago, one of (in my opinion) first mistakes was joining a bunch of online forums looking for FAQ's etc, the snobbery among some, not all, but some in the communities such as the type you're mocking made me ignore pretty much all online communities till now. Glad to see this channel and others like it. 👍
I know it's years old but still holds true today. I'm a clencher so I can relate with not having a pipe too long or heavy for my comfort. The toothaches are nothing to mess with. Great vid!
I like how you cover some many factors about pipe smoking. Some people have that "ALL OR NOTHING" mentality, but you provide a great deal of comfort to us beginners. You don't look around the room waiting to criticize someone. Instead you show the upmost respect and support for your fellow piper. Sometimes I'm in the mood to use the breathing technique and other times I'm in the mood to puff like a steam engine. Thanks again and I look forward to watching more videos.
Excellent, I haven’t got enough teeth left.....you had me going for a while , I recently started pipe smoking after a forty year gap , and I subscribed to your channel , and I’m learning lots.....the videos on advanced breathing method were great, I mix that method with gentle sipping puffs, and I’m loving my re found pleasure in pipe smoking.... thank you , from Devon, England 🤙
I laughed real hard when I saw your video, I have watched most of your videos and have learned so much with the information that you have given. I have been a pipe smoker for a few years now and knew very little about different pipes and different varieties of tobaccos that are available. Your videos have been so informative and the knowledge that your have passed on to us new and old pipers is greatly appreciated. Thank you and I look forward to continue viewing your videos.

New pipe smoker. My favorite so far is the moonshine pipes XXX blend. Its very affordable bulk on pipes and cigars. I got 2 ounces and it was about 7 bucks
New pipe smoker. i ordered a relatively cheap starter kit with a pipe (it didnt say what kind, but i know its briarwood by the grain at least), a pipetool, some filters and cleaning tools. My first tobacco is Mac Baren Classic Amber. If anyone has any tobacco recommendations for new pipe smokers, please share.
Brand new pipe smoker here, and would like to thank you for your videos. Learning a lot thanks to folks like you. Done about a half dozen smokes so far, and my after work smoke today was my most successful and most enjoyable. Please keep up the exceptional videos!
I just discovered your series last week when looking for videos to help my friend start pipe smoking. I wish I found you sooner! This video sums up how I feel and your delivery was awesome!
I sincerely hope youve made it through 2020. ANNNNNND I hope you make more videos. It's not only the content, its your personality. The way you carry yourself. Plus you're very informative. Thank you! Make more videos please. Even on the same topics just newer or diff thoughts. We would all watch, I guarantee it.
"You're not really a pipe smoker." HA. I was thinking this morning how great your videos are because while you speak with the wisdom the comes from long experience, you also admit your mistakes, take and experiment with the advice of others, and always remind us that at the end of it all this is your opinion, and that you're not dictating anything.
Jonathan Clark - there you go, you have just explained in a few sentences, what I wanted to covey through my videos, I'm just glad it is coming through that way. Thank you my friend. 👍👍👍
Your videos are literally the most helpful I've found so far. As a beginner pipe smoker, I've found that your tone and delivery is easy to follow and enjoy. Thank you so much! 👍👍👍
Loved this video you made me Lol! I am so glad you brought this subject to the forefront because for me as a female pipe smoker i am already feeling somewhat self-conscious. I know now that I can smoke my pipe the way its comfortable for me and how to deal with meddling, judging, interfering busybodies. Thank you Muttonchop!
Darrellyn Barrett - I don’t listen to any criticism, or judging, or comments about anything I do in my life, I’ll take guidance if I don’t know something, or if someone has a better way of doing something, but other then that.... it’s funny how some people know best how you should live your life, the best person to figure that out is you. 👍👍👍
I've been smoking a pipe off and on for 10 years. I appreciate the info that you share. I learn something every time I watch your videos. I am right handed, but because of the way my teeth are I clench my pipe on the left. I cannot stand to have it on the right as it is uncomfortable. I've never heard that there was a proper way to do this. Thanks, keep the info coming!!!
I love it My friend, I got a good chuckle, sad thing is that there are people out there that really do believe that there is only one way to be a REAL PIPE SMOKER. Thanks for another great video. Brian
I have been smoking pipes since the late eighties... And found out that's the most comfortable position to clinch the pipe n smoke it for hours... the bottom line is enjoying the time spent with my pipe...n my favourite tobacco... with whatever...books.. nature .. birdwatching...or simply contemplating... that's it...❗👍
I'm a new subscriber and have stopped smoking cigarettes and have turned back to smoking my old pipe which is a small bent stem which I love. I find as watching these video's that your knowledge and realization that we are not all the same. In this video you talk about mouth structures glad to hear those words from you, things we don't talk about, you did, thanks. You also talk about the length and weight of the pipe, important. I am going to be looking for a couple of good quality pipes and different premium tobacco's for my relaxation and enjoyment will be watching, thanks again.
I've grown to love the pipe bits. The rubber things you put on pipe stems. I hated them at first but I've grown to like them, they keep teeth marks off of my stems when I do clench, and keep oxidation at bay.
The Lowmein - you might want to check out a video I did called "An alternative to Softy Bits" could give you another way to go when it comes to protecting your stems. 😃😃😃
Great video Muttnchop! Watched you a bit here and there through the years and I'm glad to see you're still doing your thing. Keep it up man, we gotta edumicate the newbies! 👍🏻
I wanna be full honest in this one comment. I'm a pretty young chap , I'm 23 years of age... But regardless of my young age i feel like i should share this just as an example ,out of respect for the words of this man. I'm paranoid. I started having a really hard time sleeping ever since i was 8 years old. I don't like surprises , good or bad, i like to map out my life and follow everything according to plan. That has led me to a path of spending a lot of hours (or days) without sleep, but still having the need to rest my mind and bones without compromising the normal course of my life. I am sharing this because this man said something which i believe to be extremely important and should not go unnoticed , which is the reason for smoking pipe , that being relaxation and contemplation of thought. If i were to spend my nights of smoke and thoughts worrying about the way i smoke being the correct one or not, that would have seriously affected my whole sense of being as a person, both physically and psychologically, in a negative way. You should really only focus on your own satisfaction with yourselves and your actions, gentlemen. That is all i wish to say. Cheers, and thank you for the video.
Dear Sir that was an absolute funny and really great way to describe the proper way to clench a pipe I find that I truly do enjoy your videos in your great educator on the hobby thank you very much sir. New to the Hobby been smoking now about three months consistently most of my pipes are corn cobs
TacticalTupperware - You bet my friend, might I suggest, I have a group of videos called Just the Basics, that you can watch that will teach you how to smoke a pipe from packing to cleaning. Pay close attention to how to smoke a pipe using the Breathe Method, this way of smoking a pipe prevents a lot of problems new pipe smokers tend to suffer through. 👍👍👍
Excellent as always. I have poor dentition with many missing teeth (medical reasons) so as I have grown into the pipe world, I'm increasingly finding that I clench less and hold more. When I'm driving I have to be handsfree so it's a cheap cob and I chew the merry hell out of it. When at home, holding the bowl encourages me to clench with my lips if at all, keep the teeth away. Benefits: gentler draw, encourages sipping, encourages me to take the pipe away periodically rather than constantly chuffing on it, causes less damage by chewing on the bits of increasingly expensive pipes - and, holding it helps me keep a check on whether it is getting too warm. Clenching by its nature makes my jaws tense up, makes me on edge, makes me have to grip something. No, I'm doing this so I can relax, not get all edgy. So like you suggest, each piper needs to find their zone, but for me it is about pacing myself and holding by hand rather than teeth. If I have to do more relights because I forgot, then perhaps that is a sign I'm relaxing!
Graham - Kudos to you my friend, your dedication to Pipe smoking is awesome, with all the mouth problems you have, but can still work around them to smoke a pipe, True dedication. 👍👍👍
It dosen't matter how you clinch your pipe...if somebody's seriously saying which way is the only way to clinch a pipe....that person can't be right minded. Pleasant clip and as always cool & dry smokes mate.
Thanks for this, I've started smoking a pipe again recently but I've had to try and change how I clench my pipe since I got my false teeth, your points in this video makes me feel a little less stupid looking. All the best, cheers!
Ones i read about the fact that during the WW1, some soldiers in the trenches use to smoke the little cigars with the brace inside the mouth, because of the snipers.Dont know if it was true, but i love those little ways to smoke differently .You make the joke of the pipe upsidedown, but my grandfather ones told me that here in Italy, many people smoked with the pipe upsidedown to be able to smoke under a light rain. You are right, veryone should be feel free to smoke as they prefer! Greetings from italy!
@Muttnchop Piper, thank you for this video. I am considering going into pipe smoking and your videos are the kind of kind, thoughtful guide I need. Thank you for the work you've taken upon yourself to spread good, useful information about pipe smoking! You have a new fan :)
I have been watching you and start smoking pipe as per your instruction. I order frog Morton on the town and it just arrived. My savanelli author will arrive this Friday. Can't wait to smoke that pipe. Thank you for your videos.
Muttnchop Piper appreciate your videos. I just smoked a bowl of white knight as recommended by you. I think I prefer English mix a little better. Frog Morton on the town smells exactly like a pack of Super Value English mixture I picked up locally. I will build up cake in my "author " with on the town as prescribed by you. Thank you again for your well informative as well as education on pipe smoking.
Loved how you delivered what you wanted to say with this video, I find it incredibly ejoyable to watch your videos even though my pipe is still closing in on the road.
This has got to be the funniest video I've seen in a long time. I was actually going to comment that I smoke my pipe upside down, but you beat me to the punch! Oh and I think the first 1.5 minutes are the funniest... I agree with you, the correct way is the exact way you hold/clench your pipe--except for maybe upside down.
Great video! Many thanks for sharing your wisdom! …so many lessons to be learned, and not only about pipe-smoking, but also lessons which can be applied to life itself! Keep up the good work, @Muttonchop Piper! You rock!
Greetings from Scotland! Just subscribed to your videos and really enjoying them. Have been a pipe smoker for over forty five years but happy to say one never stops learning new tips.
I just found you channel today, I bought a pipe that will be here in a few days, and I wanted some information. After watching a good chunk of your catalogue, and you putting a pipe in your mouth upside down, I feel like your my cool Uncle now. Thanks for the content.
I KNEW HE WAS JOKING, THIS TIME *GREATLY* MAN YOUR SERIOUSNESS ADDED TO THE JOKE HUGE BALLS This was flawless, I slowly started to realize that you could not changed by one video
Thank you for the excellent information and insight. I am getting back into pipe smoking and have throughly enjoyed your videos and presentation on this matter.
Great video! You're like the sage advice giving, pipe smoking uncle I never had! I myself can't clench for more than a minute or two because I start to salivate like crazy. Drooling into your pipe doesn't make for a pleasant smoking experience. Keep up the good work, bud!
Thanks JonFD, when I first started smoking a pipe I was like that, but over the years, or just old age it's lessened a bit to where it is not a problem. Thanks for viewing my videos from your uncle muttnchop lol 😃😃👍
I got a filling on my right side that does not agree with clenching. So I clench left even tho I smoke right handed. I never even considered that I could be doing something wrong. Thanks for the laugh at the beginning!
I smoke my pipe the way I want to. I dip my pipe into the pouch or tin to fill it and I clench my pipe alternating it on both sides of my mouth during the smoke. I also don't worry if I have to light my pipe more than once. As you said, it's not relaxing if it's too much like work when you smoke you're pipe.
Thank you Sir for your information and tips. I enjoy sitting by a fire with a brandy and Peterson pipe. your tips have made this more pleasant. It would be an honor to enjoy a pipe with you. if your ever in Knoxville look me up
So glad I watched this. I was laughing through your introduction. I was really happy to see your 320. I have a couple on the way and had no idea they were that big, I just fell in love with the shape. I thought they were smaller, but I like how it looks in your video. Thanks for sharing. Love your videos.
Cowboy Piper - this was a dangerous one to make, I had to make sure people knew I was joking, so I added the watch past the 1 1/2 minute mark so they would know. 👍👍👍
Hi muttnchop Piper. I recently subscribed to your channel and I am loving your videos. This one was spot on. Fantastic content. I was a little thrown by your intro at first but I loved where you took it. I think this video will bring confidence to a lot of people. A couple of years back I was enjoying my evening pipe and a guy who was also a pipe smoker came up and almost knocked my pipe out of my mouth and gave me a harsh 10 minute lecture about what I was doing wrong. I was so shaken. Hints, tips and advice are always appreciated and welcomed, that's the joy of a pipe smoking community but it's not ok to force your style and your way of doing it on someone else. pipe smoking is so personal and for me it's about the philosophy of it all, the peace and relaxation it brings and the chance to slow down and take stock of things. If someone is achieving that I don't care if they are smoking upsidedown and covered in honey. Happy piping to you too sir.
Darren first of all thanks for subbing to my channel, it's truly appreciated, you as well are spot on, relaxation is the goal, nothing like a perfect smoke while relaxed and calm, nothing better in my book. 😃😃😃👍
As a lefty I naturally started smoking on my left side. Now it feels funny on the right. However, if I hold the pipe in my hand I tend to smoke a little more in the front.
I'm lucky I guess, my wife gave me my daughters room, and said "Here, keep all your crap in here. Call it your man room". Lol, so here it all is, thanks Randy. 😎😎😎
Hey Muttonchop. It is amazing how quickly you find out if your pipe is too heavy to clinch. My teeth don't hurt, but my jaw will. Sometimes I get busy with something using my hands and go whoa, I got to put this baby down! Thanks for the great videos, as usual. Safe Travels.
I think I am glad I have my teeth hurt as an early warning system before my jaw hurts. For me, my jaw would probably take longer to stop hurting then my teeth. 😁😁
I was belly laughing. Thanks for that Muttnchop.🤣 I find it relaxing to switch up what hand I use at times as well as my mouth clench (left, right, center). It seems it's stimulating different parts of the brain.
been smoking left clinch for 30 years. and now, for the last 5 years, only smoke my no-name italian billiard. ive been told by many pipe smokers im not a real pipe smoker because i smoke English, Straight Virginias, and virginia periques out of the same pipe. LOL i have older tobacco than some of these "experts". good video
I think it's hilarious when a 30 year old man who has been smoking a pipe for 5 years says you're not a real pipe smoker for this reason, or that. Come back after you have smoked for 30 more years, then you can tell me that. 👍👍👍
Do you use bots to gain subs? You are the most popular Indi- Pipe smoker right now. You have my nomination for Indi-rookie of the year. Good for you and great tips!
Thank you for saying that, and no, I don't even know what bots are. I think I have found a nitch in the RUclips pipe community, (YTPC). I try to get to the point of my videos right away, I try to keep it short, and I try my hardest to be myself (who you see in my videos, is who you get in person). And most of all I try and treat all the people who subscribe to my channel like they are my friend, because in my mind they are, I also try and answer every comment, and help out where I can. 😃😃😃👍
Excellent video. I can clinch most of my pipes. Some differently due to how the bit is shaped. My Dr Grabow Duke I don't clinch because the bit will not let me. It has a small bowl and large bit. Not comfortable. Can't remember the last I smoked it. The others I can manage with comfort. Enjoy your day and thanks again.
The 320 is my favorite Savinelli shape, and I have several of them, including a Punto Oro 320K that although lovely weighs in at nearly 90 grams. Because I'm a clencher, I no longer purchase any pipe that weighs over 50 grams. The Savinelli 321 is perfect. It has that beautiful 320 shape, but it is smaller, and the two I have eacg weigh about 40 grams.
Wonderful, and thank you! I really like your videos and glad I found you. I would love a video on how to relax while smoking/enjoying a pipe. I smoke everyday at my little table or outside. I still can't seem to get in that "relaxation" stage. Maybe too many distractions and/or my mind is constantly racing and thinking of other things. Thank you again for your time and videos!
Great point about weight, and also, author shape pipes are round like that BECAUSE it is pleasant to _hold_ that shape, that is why I have one of those. Light pipes for clenching, sure. - This is some nice perspective. Important to note on comfort and health, not clenching can help avoid tongue bite if that is an issue for anyone, and not-clenching also supposedly reduces health risks by reducing carcinogen exposure to the mouth - just my 2¢, of course - so many variables on that health point, -- as said here - comfort and enjoyment is the main watchword. -- Nice video, thank you.
Muttnchop. I have been intending to write to you for awhile. I am 65 years old abd retired from the federal prison sysyem. I have been watching your videos from the beginning. I really enjoy them although I can no longer smoke a pipe. This sounds strange maybe but I have developed some lung and diaphram issues that really restrict the amount of air I can inhale. I guess I just feel compelled to say that I really enjoy your company even if it's just on utube. I enjoy vicariously sampling the smells and tastes of the different tobaccos. I enjoy your lessons and teaching style. I like to think that we could be good friends. I miss you posting new videos but I respect your reasons for laying off. I hope your mother is doing okay. Best wishes. RC

I want to thank u for ur content.. I'm new to pipe smoking & ur videos have been really helpful..u came highly recommended by others in my pipe smoking/cigar smoking group!
hit the nail right on the head! I did have someone comment about how I lit my pipe with a zippo, apparently, I dont open and light it in the correct way, I politely told them, image isnt that important to me, just getting the pipe lit is.
So if I may here goes a review: I have watched a few of your videos & I now know that for a complete newbie to smoking never mind pipe. I wanted to try the tobacco pipe & had now one to learn me the correct way. After researching lots of blogs and lots of youtuber’s I still could not get it right my rum and maple tasted bit wrong What you told on how to hold the pipe in my mouth up to the frank method of packing the pipe and then doing breathing method of smoking make my relights form 11 to 13 times to less than 4 , and the taste like you said I got the cat drawn out of its place and the rum came through with that maple after taste was great and not the charcoal taste that I had before the video. I would love to see your video to get into major pipe sites to have a good newcomer guide on how to enjoy a pipe. Thanks. Ps. I almost stopped doing the hobby due to bad methods

Dear Sir that was an absolute funny and really great way to describe the proper way to clench a pipe I find that I truly do enjoy your videos in your great educator on the hobby thank you very much sir. New to the Hobby been smoking now about three months consistently most of my pipes are corn cobs
Looking to get into pipe smoking and have watched about 10 of your videos. Thanks for all the information and content!!!
I really appreciate this channel - Muttnchop Piper's attitude is so welcoming to those new to pipe smoking.
Muttnchop Piper very kind, thank you, I'm learning from the master.
I appreciate you making this its the best tutorial I’ve seen and I have been searching for the most comfortable way to smoke you helped a lot man
It dosen't matter how you clinch your pipe...if somebody's seriously saying which way is the only way to clinch a pipe....that person can't be right minded. Pleasant clip and as always cool & dry smokes mate.
I totally agree, thanks for watching. 😃😃👍
"Might as well be mowing the grass." Love it. Appreciate your content
Pipe smoking is a personal thing. You should always do whatever fits best for you. Nice video.
Thank you for your videos.
paukalay m - you're welcome my friend, I am glad I could help. 👍👍👍
Thank you again for your well informative as well as education on pipe smoking.
paukalay m - you're welcome my friend, glad I could help. 👍👍👍
You, sir, are a true gentleman. Great video! 👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you, it's very much appreciated 😃😃😃👍
Good day Sir.
I am really enjoying g your videos. Please keep them coming.
God bless and have a great week.
Smokin Doc - thank you my friend, I was afraid someone would watch a minute of it and bless me out in the comments. 😃😃😃
I like my pipe on the left if I'm clenching, on the right if I'm holding. Good video as always Mr Mutton. Keep em comin.
David Stone - thank you for your comment my friend. 👍👍👍
Same. Clench left. Up and down on the right. It’s been a while since I smoked. Used to enjoy it before the kids.
Beside of being a pipe smoker, I like your attitude as a gentleman sir.Good luck with your endeavors.
Thank you my friend, I appreciate your kind words. 😃😃😃
I love this channel. So glad I found it. Just started pipes to ween off cigs. Great!!!
Great video! Many thanks for sharing your wisdom! …so many lessons to be learned, and not only about pipe-smoking, but also lessons which can be applied to life itself! Keep up the good work, @Muttonchop Piper! You rock!
My friend you made me laugh 😂 so bad on this video that my stomach hurts ahhhh God. Thanks awesome video👍
Victor Sepulveda - you're welcome my friend. 👍👍👍
as soon as i heard u say this is the right way i knew u were trolling and i had a hearty chuckle.
blackboard212 - If you cant have a little fun now and again, life isn’t worth living. 👍👍👍
I love you sir!.. From India... You are so lovely, friendly and amusing.
Thank you, been 7 months and still learning.
I love your dry sense of humour MC. Another great video as well
eggsandwichification - Thank you my friend. 👍👍👍
Each your dialog with us is perfect. Thanks.
great video and attitude towards potential criticism, I just wish there was a pipe smoker locally passionate enough to berrate other smokers
Thanks Pip. 😄😄😄👍
Greetings from Scotland!
Just subscribed to your videos and really enjoying them.
Have been a pipe smoker for over forty five years but happy to say one never stops learning new tips.
Thanks Lochlainn, and welcome to the MPC,, (Muttnchop Pipe Club). 😃😃😃👍
I just found you channel today, I bought a pipe that will be here in a few days, and I wanted some information. After watching a good chunk of your catalogue, and you putting a pipe in your mouth upside down, I feel like your my cool Uncle now. Thanks for the content.
I KNEW HE WAS JOKING, THIS TIME *GREATLY*
MAN YOUR SERIOUSNESS ADDED TO THE JOKE HUGE BALLS
This was flawless, I slowly started to realize that you could not changed by one video
Strakos0 - that’s why I wanted people to watch past the 1 1/2 minuet Mark, thanks for watching my friend. 👍👍👍👍
Ur a good soul ole choppie. I enjoy your videos and I don't even smoke. Although I am now considering the hobby of being a pipe smoker. Cheers ole boy
being new smoker, I found this very helpful. thank you sir.
Tim Cunningham - you're welcome my friend. 👍👍👍
I got a filling on my right side that does not agree with clenching. So I clench left even tho I smoke right handed. I never even considered that I could be doing something wrong. Thanks for the laugh at the beginning!
I really miss this guy.... Wish I could smoke a bowl with him and pick his brain for awhile. A true grand master!
Three years and still funny. Great info as always. Thanks Muttnchop.
ProfessorPipe - You bet my friend. 👍👍👍
I love your dry humor. You are hilarious.
And because you smoke the pipe the way you want to, then you're doing it right. 😃😃😃👍
Your satire/sarcasm is peak. Just like my grandpa, i guess it comes with pipe smoking
i switch sides depending on which way the wind is blowing.
I have problem teeth on my left side, so I primarily smoke on my right. 😃😃😃👍
just like me :D :D :D
As a lefty I naturally started smoking on my left side. Now it feels funny on the right. However, if I hold the pipe in my hand I tend to smoke a little more in the front.
This guy is a class act. Love your videos.
Dylan Canady - Thank you my friend, I appreciate your kind words. 👍👍👍
I've quite envious of your back round accoutrements. I have all my pipe stuff crowding my fireplace mantle, much to my wife's dismay...
Up side down pipe smoking was hilarious 🤣Another good video. Thank you, sir👍🏻
JEEROFUKU - I’m glad you liked it. 👍👍👍
Thank you especially for the last advice!
Softee bits for the win! Thank you for your thoughts on this topic, really enjoy all your videos.
Justin Hart - Thanks Justin. 👍👍👍
Been a pipe smoker since 1993. Yes there are always those that think they know better. I find it hilarious!
been smoking left clinch for 30 years. and now, for the last 5 years, only smoke my no-name italian billiard.
ive been told by many pipe smokers im not a real pipe smoker
because i smoke English, Straight Virginias, and virginia periques out of the same pipe.
LOL
i have older tobacco than some of these "experts".
good video
I think it's hilarious when a 30 year old man who has been smoking a pipe for 5 years says you're not a real pipe smoker for this reason, or that. Come back after you have smoked for 30 more years, then you can tell me that. 👍👍👍
4:15 holy shit...THAT is a thing of beauty.
He has an army of pipe smoking robots.
As a man with reconstructed teeth (bike accident) I really appreciate this video.
Enjoy your day and thanks again.
pipesmoker - thanks for the added info my friend. 👍👍👍
Been enjoying your videos a little while now. That was very enlightening and thanks for this.
It was my pleasure seawave. 😀😀😀😃
It's my pleasure Grant, and I will consider your suggestion, teaching people to relax, that's going to be a hard one. 😃😃😃👍
...that's why I keep this private just to enjoy it my self. People like to tell you what to do too much.
I’m new to pipe smoking but this guy is great
Instructions unclear. I now have a bowl of cereal upside down in front of my face.
Great stuff! Your videos are always informative and entertaining. Looking forward to the next one
Thanks protopiper 😃😃😃👍
late to the party but I love for your videos and they've been terribly helpful
Great point about weight, and also, author shape pipes are round like that BECAUSE it is pleasant to _hold_ that shape, that is why I have one of those. Light pipes for clenching, sure. - This is some nice perspective. Important to note on comfort and health, not clenching can help avoid tongue bite if that is an issue for anyone, and not-clenching also supposedly reduces health risks by reducing carcinogen exposure to the mouth - just my 2¢, of course - so many variables on that health point, -- as said here - comfort and enjoyment is the main watchword. -- Nice video, thank you.
dgetzin - you bet my friend, and thanks for the 2 cents worth. 👍👍👍
RC
Glad you got out, bro. What they have you in for?
@@shane8037 hi Shane. I take it you are Chris' son?
Well I was in for 23 years. Mostly mechanical services and stationary powerhouse engineer. Befire that I was on Sheriff and Police departments.
How is Muttnchop doing?
I want to thank u for ur content.. I'm new to pipe smoking & ur videos have been really helpful..u came highly recommended by others in my pipe smoking/cigar smoking group!
hit the nail right on the head!
I did have someone comment about how I lit my pipe with a zippo, apparently, I dont open and light it in the correct way, I politely told them, image isnt that important to me, just getting the pipe lit is.
Good job, keep a cool head. 😄😄😄👍
Always a cool head :)
So if I may here goes a review:
I have watched a few of your videos & I now know that for a complete newbie to smoking never mind pipe.
I wanted to try the tobacco pipe & had now one to learn me the correct way. After researching lots of blogs and lots of youtuber’s I still could not get it right my rum and maple tasted bit wrong
What you told on how to hold the pipe in my mouth up to the frank method of packing the pipe and then doing breathing method of smoking make my relights form 11 to 13 times to less than 4 , and the taste like you said I got the cat drawn out of its place and the rum came through with that maple after taste was great and not the charcoal taste that I had before the video.
I would love to see your video to get into major pipe sites to have a good newcomer guide on how to enjoy a pipe.
Thanks.
Ps. I almost stopped doing the hobby due to bad methods
Delarosa Gaming - I am pleased you found me, and we were able to save your pipe smoker king adventure. 👍👍👍
I'm a minute in and I just know there's going to be a wonderful punchline coming.
