    As a person who has had mental disorders, I always enjoy these kind of pictures. And I can attest to the fact that having someone to love and encourage you through it is so important - so needful.

      So true. I recently met a girl who had been institutionalised for a good few years, she'd been subjected to electro shock therapy and buckets of drugs. A long story cut very short; she was released, I met her out walking in the countryside, we fell in love, she recovered. The only 'treatment' she needed was understanding and love. We're awaiting our first baby in January.

      @TrudyPatootie A lovely little boy.
      Not without complications as mama's nervousness brought on pre eclampsia, Merlin was delivered 2 months early. Superb nursing brought him through. The stress and worry about the baby's health, his very low birth weight and all those wretched tubes in the incubator caused a bit of a crisis with mama being temporarily re-admitted into the secure unit and more blasted drugs. She is now fully recovered and proud mother of a noisy, greedy little darling that doesn't appear any different to a full term child.What an adventure.
      Love conquers all.

    I think for many years the entertainment industry has been pumping out films that have messed up the mental and emotional states of people by so much negativity and dishonor as well as bad attitudes are suppose to be cool that now nobody wants to deal with anyone. So these older shows help to remind us of how people should communicate. Otherwise it’s gonna be home sweet home permanently. Thanks for the show and keep up the great work.

    This was near the end of the series, as Dick decided he'd gone as far as he could with the "FOUR STAR PLAYHOUSE" format, and wanted to produce (and host) a different anthology series for the fall of '56- which turned out to be "DICK POWELL'S 'ZANE GREY THEATRE'" (although it *could* have been titled "DICK POWELL'S WESTERN THEATRE", because the series eventually moved beyond adaptations of Zane Grey's stories).

    Dick Powell always preferred the "porkpie" style fedora~ my least favorite. I've also noticed many western actors adopted a "signature" cowboy hat as well: Randolph Scott, John Wayne, even Charles Bronson.

      Ummm. Yes. I'm amazed at how people think previous decades were SUCH dark ages into many ways. From what I see now research seems to have gone insanely off the rails.
