Douglas Fowley as the Police Lt. Most usually his role was as the bad guy and yes, that's just the same for brusin' Bob Wilke! I see Frank Ferguson at the bar. He was in many westerns, and usually was a good guy, but here he's not good. He was the grocery store owner Mr. Fowley in the early episodes of The Andy Griffith Show. The guy at the bar that wants to punch Niven's Nose is Richard Reeves. He was always a tough guy, even in when he was in movies with The Three Stooges! At Sailor Ed's I notice a poster on the wall above the cigarette machine next to where Bob Wilke is standing. A season 1 episode of Four Star Playhouse, "The Knockout", starred Broderick Crawford and Ron Hargrave . Ron Hargrave played the part of boxer Bobby Greggory. Yes, 2 Gs! and his opponent is boxer Fred Stevens. That poster is recycled from that season 1 episode, because I can see that it shows STEVENS vs. GREGGORY! Ha! This episode, "The Book", is a good short story, with a good cast, lots of fun!

Bob (Robert) Wilke who played George was in hundreds of tv programs and movies. In the few roles where he played good guys he really came across as someone who should have made it bigger as an actor. He even has a warm smile when he was allowed to use it.
