The media is making a lot of money off Petey’s stories. They know he generates so much attention. The stories are even purely speculation and nothing based from facts. I feel bad for Petey who is used as a hot commodity for this pundits. That is why coach should refrain from talking about him even in the slightest because even a not so important comment about him they feast on it.

It feels like we just went through this with Miller and Horvat. The Canucks are Fleetwood Mack.

Low end gossip mongering. Not particularly entertaining, low reliability.

Why are the two of you stirring the pot and speculating like this?
Totally turned off to listening to the two of you even know I’ve been a fan of yours dating back to the 1040 days

This is silly, this whole discussion is crazy. Nobody is in the locker room, so this is a total storm in a tea cup, storm created by the media. Talking about who drives play, and who's a leader, it's JT. Pettie is a good player, but he's also a loner, he's not a leader, and he's really moody and hasn't proven he's tough in the playoffs. If the window is the next three years, the GM should sit both players down and tell them they're paid to play. He doesn't give a crap if they don't get along, so work together for the good of the Team. We know JT wants his Team to win and play with passion, but we don't know anything about Pettie, except that he's a quiet loner, his jokes fall flat, and he blames injuries for poor play. If they really, really can't get along, and if the window is the next three years, then I'd trade Pettie for two good D Men, but I doubt it will ever come to that. If you notice, during practice, both players talk and stay close to each other, so I think this is a nothing burger.

I agree Hughes is one of the real leaders on this team right now. All the more reason to trade Petterson so we can use some of his $11.5 million "franchise player salary" to re-sign Hughes.

You guys are really annoying and speculating on nothing. A guy took a leave for personal reasons and you are trying to turn it into a beef of two guys when they have clearly stated that its false. If if jt and ep don't see eye to eye why did they both sign long term deals here clearly knowing the other is here to stay. I like listening to you guys but this is crap

I think Miller knows the real truth about what's happening with Canucks. It's pretty obvious at this point that making Elias Petterson the team franchise superstar of the future was a big mistake. Making Petey one of the Top Ten Highest Paid players in 2024 was just plain wrong. The unfortunate fact is --- Petterson is just NOT on the same elite level as the McDavids, Mackinnon, Matthews, Dreisatls, and all the other real franchise superstars. And Petterson is never going to be on that level in the future. If Canucks fans want to believe that he will eventually get there, they are mistaken. Paying him more than $3 million more than Miller, Hughes, Boeser, and others has set a bad example. Petey is a great player but he is NOT the future of the Canucks.

Milsy is gonna lift the cup for us , I don’t care if EP40 goes or stays .

I think trading Bo may have been a mistake, for the fact that he was like a mediator between EP40 and JT.

If Miller is the antagonist, not saying he is but its more likely. How can it be both guys fault? Its like saying someone standing up to the bully is as much at fault as the bully. Now this is 98% speculation because no one really know

You don't aim your anger at your team mates. Take it out on the opposition.

    I’m sorry. You’re a professional athlete.
“Wah wah wah my teammate was harsh and kind of mean to me.”
You get paid millions to get tf over it and perform.
I’m sorry but that’s just so soft if that affects you. You’re not a child, you’re a grown man.

If it comes down to someone has to go, I say EP40. The club can still get a very good return in a trade and as far as 'quality of player' I'll take JT any day of the week.

No we won't. We will be worse off long term without EP40. Miller has 2 or 3 good years left.

I've unsubscribed from Sekeres and Price because Sekeres is *ridiculous* with the sensationalism, fanning flames just for the watches. I came on here just to say this. I used to watch S&P all the time, and this has always been an issue, but this has put me over the edge. It makes me angry. It's a disservice to the team, and the fans. It's actually the worst out of all Vancouver Canucks media.
Despite unsubscribing, RUclips is still recommending your S&P from all the times I used to watch you. I just came here now to make this comment.
Honestly, Matt, you should be ashamed of yourself.
And reading the other comments I know I'm not the only one.

Stop all this speculating on Miller being EP40's problem! Let's talk about the REAL issue...Petey's video game addiction!

    • @tlevans62
      @tlevans62 3 дня назад +2

That's actually an issue. I heard from someone in the organization he'd often come to practice complaining about being tired because he was up to the wee hours in the morning playing video games. Toccet even told him none of that nonsense would be tolerated during game days.

It's because neither is scoring. If either one gets hot it will help. Bottom 6 shouldn't be leading our scoring.

Petey played for a payday. Got his fat contract and said fuck it. Miller is our leader up front, Hughes and Miller are our team. Trade Petey, Boeser and Myers.
