It's funny, cause I posted Petey's stats with an without Miller on the Canucks forum. It is very strange that Petey comes alive without Miller. But Boudreau also makes a great point. Miller kind of took Petey's running mate, Boeser and Petey were a dynamic duo early in their careers. But Boeser just clicks so well with Miller and we can't just have all our best players on one line so Petey got squeezed to the 2nd line. But our winger depth falls into the toilet after Boeser. Particularly last year. Petey can't be expected to make things happen with guys like Mikheyev and Hoglander. Most fans of other teams probably don't even know who they are. Lol. I will say this though, Tocchet tried to Lotto line last year, Petey, Miller and Boeser, and it did not go well. Seemingly the entire line stopped producing. I truly think there's something wrong with Petey and Miller. One of them has to go I think.
Team never should have chosen Miller over Horvat. Yeah Miller is a good player, but he is a hot head and tends to give up on plays way too often to be considered a glue guy. Also, its clear that Petterson hasnt been the same since Horvat left. It would be nice to have Horvat's skills in the face-off. Canucks haven't been a good face-off team since he left.
