It is a very good bike. Great build quality, especially the welds. I tend to only use assist 1, and maybe switch to 3 if there's a steep incline ahead. I opted for the 350w model. The motor is still labelled as 250w, which is nice, and the throttle assembly gets shipped separately, so you don't need to use it if you're worried about it. I had concerns as others had stated it was appauling at climbing hills, yet my experience is different. Obviously some effort is required but it's still quite easy for slight/moderate inclines. If you live in an extremely hilly area then maybe you'll reconsider. Overall it was a stellar purchase and I feel like I made the right choice. Perhaps worth mentioning, there is no option to derestrict this bike, unless you have the 350w version, and even then this will only work when using throttle, as pedal assist will still be capped at 25km/h. With throttle, you can get around 30-35km/h, at least for me. I'm 6ft and 62 kg, and the bike is surprisinly comfortable for my height. I feel like if you were perhaps 6'3 or taller, you may feel a little hunched over.
Thanks for your information. So as I understand correctly you are saying that to reach more than 25km/h you’ll need to use throttle only? Or it can be combined with pedal assisting?
@@sobhan_seyfi Yes, you can only use throttle to get to 30-35kmh, if you release throttle then there is no pedal assistance unless you are below 25kmh
Can you tell if there are magnets joining the 2 wheels when folded and how easy it is to roll the bike folded (hence the question about the magnets, which keeps the whole thing more stable and "united")? Thanks
@@sobhan_seyfimy experience is that it works on both cases
It doesn't come supplied with magnets but they are available to purchase through their website. Even with the magnets, it's not the sturdiest but will help whilst moving it in and out of the car etc.
Great review!
Why are companies so stupid when it comes to the rear light? Every single bike should have a front and rear light installed on it with braking detecting for the rear light. I mean comon its a road vehicle and that's the most basic thing for safety.
The rear light is even more important than the front one. Of course the rear one should not be dependent on the main battery though.
I think it's a problem of legislation. It's like saying why not all cars have whatever tech of driving assistance. I totally agree regarding the back light. I think legislation should enforce manufacturers to include it by default. I think many would disagree, but I think those bike-type helmets should be mandatory.
Thanks for the detailed video. Can you tell if there are magnets joining the 2 wheels when folded and how easy it is to roll the bike folded (hence the question about the magnets, which keeps the whole thing more stable and "united")? Thanks
Will the battery fit in a backpack? Thinking it will be a good theft deterrent too
I agree. It's extractable, but seems so long and annoying to carry around. I'm not sure if being removable in this case it's that much of an advantage. An option could have been if It was as long as it is but the cells divided in two areas where one could unscrew in the middle, converting it into two mid size tubes.
I think the Engwe P20 is a better overall belt drive ebike than this, they share a lot in common inc torque sensor but all the cables behind the handlebar area are hidden which is a bonus, no coiled cable behind the seat frame etc and the computer is much more discreet looking as opposed to looking like an afterthought. Similar price too.
Just be prepared to replace the grips and pedals on the Engwe as they're pretty tacky. Nothing major though and the range is superb in any PAS mode. PAS 1 you can actually feel assist kicking in perfectly nicely, 2 and 3 are more immediate.
So what about the motor? Let’s say if we want to unlock the speed
Hi.. great video- if I want one for going along prom abroad
The fiido D3 or this one!? I’m stuck! Was getting the d3
Not many hills 30 miles is fine last me ages! Or the Aldo Air 20
good review ....forgetting only the add ons you can get ....throttle n the hack for aking it go a bit faster - can only do it on this bike ...so its actually better than the carbon new one for this reason
Does it rattle mate? I had the ado beast but had to sell as it rattled constantly when riding or going over slight off-road terrain
Is love to see a follow-up to you dad's carbon folding e-bike. How's he finding it, how's it holding up?
It's doing really well. He has been using it quite frequently. It's still the lightest ebike that we have come across. Although there are some carbon bikes on the market nowadays. He loves it so that's the main thing!
i also prefer tight than loose ..
looks fantastic!
Real owner here: Do NOT buy this bike. Very VERY cheap, Chinese rubbish. Battery does not charge fully, bolts have randomly orientated thread - at least two bolts on mine are welded on so that you cannot even install mudguards. The computer onone doesn't power on so unable to use it as an e-bike or a normal bike. It is impossible to tighten the handlebars so that your front wheel is fixed making this bike dangerous as well as useless. It was such an ordeal unboxing this junk, took hours.. that I cannot face attempting to return it. Garbage
Damn. I ordered one [ado air standard, not pro].
But I think it seems great... So far
Did you order from ado direct?
Thankyou my friend
Saving someone else is at least some form of payback
@@darthkahn45 I been ebiking for 10 years
This bike is the best I have ridden so far - I was surprised. But I have no problems with it - very light bike, very comfortable stance and powerful enough
@@mrmoralman1 I am happy for you believe me, but you are the exception to the rule. Negative reviews are instantly deleted from their website and they have this whole network of con artists shilling this stuff - Electroheads and the like.
Many of what you day does not macht this video at all. Was it maybe an earlier version of the same bike?
Why am not fund some to buy on Amazon
Currently selling for almost $1500...sadly prices are sky rocketing on everything.
I see 999 € + free slot of 40 EUR
I have one. I'm 60 but practically never use assistance level 3. Level 1 is good 95% of the time. Actually i have the pro version
U.K?. Did it come with the brakes the wrong way round (UK usually being left lever = back brake), and could you change the km/h to mph display?. Thanks.
@@joepineapples7774 You can switch to mph in the app. My brakes were configured correctly
Anyone know how to take off the speed limit
🤙🏽⚡️🤟🏽⚡️👌🏽
No throttle
- who will repair it it something broken???
- what is the carriage wait of the bike (see nothing) I'm + 100 + carriage... Brompton says +/- 110 kg.
On their website they are selling it at £1,199 how have you got yours for £999?
They constantly change the price between 999 and 1,099 and 1,199
Get the air pro instead 👍
It does look like a good option!
